Description

  • Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist eine Vorrichtung zum Auffangen von Schmutzwasser in Geschirrspülmaschinen mit einem Pumpentopf und einem in dessen unteren Bereich anschließend angeordneten Wannenbereich, der über einen Zuflussabschnitt mit dem Pumpentopf verbunden ist, sowie ein Verfahren zum Auffangen von Schmutzwasser in einer Geschirrspülmaschine.
  • Aus der DE 30 33 026 A1 ist eine Geschirrspülmaschine zur Durchführung eines Verfahrens zum Entfernen von Speiseresten bekannt, wobei in dem Bodenbereich eines Pumpentopfes ein Sumpfboden vorgesehen ist, der in seinem unteren Bereich einen Wannenbereich aufweist, der über einen Zuflussabschnitt mit dem Pumpentopf verbunden ist. Durch verschiedene Strukturen auf der Sumpfwand des Sumpfboden soll erreicht werden, dass eine Rotation der darin befindlichen mit Speiseresten durchsetzten Flüssigkeit bewirkt wird, mit der Folge, dass gemäß physikalischer Gesetzmäßigkeiten die festeren Bestandteile, d.h. die in dem Schmutzwasser befindlichen Speisereste zum Rotationspunkt hin bewegt werden. Im Rotationspunkt schließlich befindet sich der Zulaufabschnitt vom Pumpentopf in den Wannenbereich wobei der Wannenbereich mit einer Entleerungspumpe verbunden ist. Um die während der Kreisströmung der Spülflüssigkeit zum Sumpfboden sinkenden Speisereste schneller zu der im Sumpfboden befindlichen Öffnung des Ansaugstutzens der Entleerungspumpe zu fördern, und, um ein Aufwirbeln der dort angesammelten Speisereste zu verhindern, sind am Sumpfboden zur Bodenmitte hin beispielsweise axial, tangential oder spiralförmig gerichtete Führungselemente für die Spülflüssigkeit vorgesehen.
  • Als nachteilig hat sich bei dieser Vorrichtung erwiesen, dass für die Einleitung der Kreisströmung separate Mittel (beispielsweise Pumpen) vorgesehen werden müssen, sowie das im Pumpentopf befindliche, mit Speiseresten durchsetzte Schmutzwasser zur Reinigung vollständig entleert werden muss.
  • Die US-A-4,848,382 zeigt eine Geschirrspülmaschine mit einem Bodenbereich, der zwei verschiedene Ablauföffnungen aufweist. Eine davon führt in einen Aufnahmeraum für vom Geschirr abgelöste Partikel, wobei der Aufnahmeraum fast das gesamte Spülprogramm über mit dem das Geschirr aufnehmenden Spülbehälter in Verbindung steht und erst am Schluß in einem Trocknungsprogrammabschnitt diese Verbindung durch ein Ventil geschlossen und statt dessen ein zweites Ventil geöffnet wird, über das der Inhalt des Aufnahmeraums in das Abwassernetz abgepumpt werden soll. Die abgelösten Partikel verbleiben damit während der gesamten Reinigungsphase, in der Spülgut mit Spülflotte beaufschlagt wird, mit im wasserführenden Bereich. Erst bei der nicht mehr mit Flüssigkeit beaufschlagenden Trocknungsphase wird das verbindende Ventil geschlossen.
  • Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es daher, eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zum Auffangen von Schmutzwasser in Geschirrspülmaschinen der eingangs beschriebenen Art bereitzustellen, die bzw. das ein zuverlässiges Abscheiden von mit Speiseresten durchsetzten Schmutzwasser ermöglicht, um so schließlich den Wasserverbrauch von Geschirrspülmaschinen wesentlich zu reduzieren.
  • Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß durch eine Vorrichtung zum Auffangen von Schmutzwasser in Geschirrspülmaschinen mit den Merkmalen des Anspruchs 1 sowie durch das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren zum Auffangen von Schmutzwasser in einer Geschirrspülmaschine mit den Merkmalen des Anspruchs 5 gelöst. Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen der vorliegenden Erfindung sind in den Unteransprüchen gekennzeichnet.
  • Mit der erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung zum Auffangen von Schmutzwasser in Geschirrspülmaschinen kann der durchschnittliche Wasserverbrauch während eines Spülvorgangs drastisch reduziert werden, weil lediglich das mit Speiseresten verunreinigte Schmutzwasser zur Laugenpumpe geführt und entsorgt wird, während das nur gering mit Speiseresten verunreinigte Schmutzwasser zur Umwälzpumpe geführt wird und erneut in den Spülkreislauf zurückfließen kann.
  • Zu Beginn eines Spülprogramms werden die auf Spülgut anhaftenden groben und leicht löslichen Speisereste über Wasserstrahleinwirkungen gelöst und nach unten in den Pumpentopf befördert. Mit der erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung zum Auffangen von Schmutzwasser in Geschirrspülmaschinen werden nun die sich im Pumpentopf absinkenden Speisereste durch ein präzises Öffnen und Schließen eines Ventils in einen unterhalb des Pumpentopfes befindlichen Wannenbereichs geführt und dort über eine Laugenpumpe entsorgt. Das im Pumpentopf verbleibende Schmutzwasser weist nunmehr lediglich kleinere schwebende Schmutzpartikel auf, die über die Umwälzpumpe erneut dem Spülvorgang zugeführt werden können.
  • Bei einer besonders vorteilhaften Ausführungsform der erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung zum Auffangen von Schmutzwasser in Geschirrspülmaschinen wird das im Zuflussabschnitt zum Wannenbereich angeordnete Ventil auch während des Umwälzvorganges gezielt angesteuert, um beispielsweise erst verspätet abgelöste Schmutzpartikel am Geschirr oder an den Bestecken, die auf den Boden des Pumpentopfes gesunken sind, in den darunter befindlichen Wannenbereich zu befördern. Zweckmäßigerweise ist im Wannenbereich eine Belüftungsöffnung vorgesehen, die für einen Druckausgleich im Wannenbereich sorgt, da bei geschlossenem Ventil die Umwälz- oder Laugenpumpe rasch einen Unterdruck im Wannenbereich erzeugen würde, der sowohl den Wirkungsgrad der Pumpen als auch die verwendeten Werkstoffe des Wannenkörpers, insbesondere bei Absaugen von größeren Flüssigkeitsvolumen, negativ beeinflussen könnte.
  • In besonders vorteilhafter Weise ist das Ventil der erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung zum Auffangen von Schmutzwasser in Geschirrspülmaschinen über das Spülprogramm steuerbar ausgebildet, so dass beispielsweise bei Betätigung eines Spülprogramms für besonders verschmutzte Geschirrladungen ein Absinken der zahlreichen Speisereste im Pumpentopf abgewartet wird bzw. mehrmals durchgeführt wird, um diese so gesammelten Speisereste durch den schleusenartig aufgebauten Wannenbereich abzusaugen.
  • Nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren zum Auffangen von Schmutzwasser in Geschirrspülmaschinen, insbesondere unter Verwendung einer erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung zum Auffangen von Schmutzwasser in Geschirrspülmaschinen sammelt sich das Schmutzwasser in einem Pumpentopf, der mit einem unterhalb angeordneten Wannenbereich über ein Ventil in einem Zuflussabschnitt verbunden ist, und wird dieses Ventil nach Bedarf geöffnet oder gesperrt, um zumindest eine Teilmenge des Schmutzwassers in den Wannenbereich fließen zu lassen, und wird zumindest diese so aufgefangene Teilmenge des Schmutzwassers über eine Laugen- oder Umwälzpumpe abgepumpt, wodurch der durchschnittliche Wasserverbrauch während eines Spülvorgangs drastisch reduziert werden kann, weil lediglich das mit Speiseresten verunreinigte Schmutzwasser zur Laugenpumpe geführt und entsorgt wird, während das nur gering mit Speiseresten verunreinigte Schmutzwasser zur Umwälzpumpe geführt wird und erneut in den Spülkreislauf zurückfließen kann.
  • Mit der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es gelungen, eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zum Auffangen von Schmutzwasser in Geschirrspülmaschinen der eingangs beschriebenen Art bereitzustellen, die bzw. das ein zuverlässiges Abscheiden von mit Speiseresten durchsetzten Schmutzwasser ermöglicht, um so schließlich den Wasserverbrauch von Geschirrspülmaschinen wesentlich zu reduzieren.
  • Nachfolgend wird eine bevorzugte Ausführungsform der Erfindung anhand einer Zeichnung näher beschrieben. Die einzige Figur zeigt einen schematischen Querschnitt durch einen Pumpentopf und einen darunter befindlichen Wannenbereich an dem eine Umwälz-/Laugenpumpe angeschlossen ist.
  • Zu Beginn eines Spülprogramms werden die auf dem Spülgut anhaftenden groben und leicht löslichen Speiserest und in dem Fortgang des Spülprogramms natürlich auch die stärker haftenden Speisereste über Wasserstrahleinwirkungen gelöst. Nach dem Lösen der am Spülgut anhaftenden Speisereste sinken diese aufgrund der Schwerkraft nach unten und bilden einen Sumpf 6 im Pumpentopf 1. Abhängig von der Speiserestemenge füllt sich der Zuflussabschnitt 5 im unteren Bereich des Pumpentopfes 1 entsprechend mit Speiseresten. Ab einer gewissen Menge oder abhängig von einem vorbestimmten Zeitintervall wird das Ventil 3 geöffnet und bleibt gemäß einer vorbestimmten Zeit, die im Spülprogramm festgelegt wird, geöffnet, um den Sumpf 6, insbesondere den mit Speiseresten durchsetzten Sumpf 6 vom Pumpentopf 1 in den Wannenbereich 2 zu befördern. Sobald dieser Sumpf 6 vom Pumpentopf 1 in den Wannenbereich 2 durch den Zuflussabschnitt 5 befördert worden ist, schließt das Ventil 3. Der im Wannenbereich 2 befindliche Sumpf 6 wird über die Abpumpfunktion (Laugenpumpenfunktion) der Umwälz-/Laugenpumpe 7 abgepumpt. Nunmehr kann das Ventil 3 erneut geöffnet werden und ein nur geringfügig mit Speiseresten belastetes Schmutzwasser kann durch die Umwälzpumpenfunktion der Umwälz-/Laugenpumpe 7 in das Spülprogramm zurückgeführt werden. Zur Vermeidung von Unterdrucksituationen im Wannenbereich 2 weist dieser eine Belüftung 4 auf, die insbesondere bei Absaugen größerer Volumina von Schmutzwasser im Schmutzbereich 2 dafür Sorge trägt, dass sowohl die Umwälz-/Laugenpumpe 7 als auch das Material des Wannenbereichs 2 nicht unnötig belastet wird. Alternativ können statt einer kombinierten Umwälz-/Laugenpumpe 7 zwei separate Pumpen vorgesehen sein.
  • Mit der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es gelungen, eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zum Auffangen von Schmutzwasser in Geschirrspülmaschinen der eingangs beschriebenen Art bereitzustellen, die bzw. das ein zuverlässiges Abscheiden von mit Speiseresten durchsetzten Schmutzwasser ermöglicht, um so schließlich den Wasserverbrauch von Geschirrspülmaschinen wesentlich zu reduzieren.

Claims (5)

  1. Vorrichtung zum Auffangen von Schmutzwasser in Geschirrspülmaschinen mit einem Pumpentopf (1) und einem in dessen unterem Bereich anschließend angeordneten Wannenbereich (2), der über einen Zuflussabschnitt (5) mit dem Pumpentopf (1) verbunden ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Zufluss des Schmutzwassers vom Pumpentopf (1) in den Wannenbereich (2) durch den Zuflussabschnitt (5) erfolgt und mittels Ventil (3) absperrbar ist, wobei das Ventil (3) nach Lösung und Absinken von dem Spülgut anhaftenden Speiseresten über Wasserstrahleinwirkungen zu einem Sumpf (6) im Pumpentopf (1) geöffnet wird und eine vorbestimmte, im Spülprogramm festgelegte Zeit, geöffnet bleibt, um den Sumpf (6), insbesondere den mit Speiseresten durchsetzten Sumpf (6), vom Pumpentopf (1) in den Wannenbereich (2) zu befördern, und wobei nach Ablauf der Zelt das Ventil (3) geschlossen wird und über eine Abpumpfunktion (Laugenpumpenfunktion) einer Umwälz-iLaugenpumpe (7) abgepumpt und das Ventil (3) nachfolgend erneut geöffnet wird und ein nur geringfügig mit Speiseresten belastetes Schmutzwasser durch die Umwälzpumpenfunktion der Umwälz-/Laugenpumpe (7) in das Spülprogramm zurückgeführt wird.
  2. Vorrichtung gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Wannenbereich (2) eine Belüftungsöffnung (4) zum Druckausgleich aufweist.
  3. Vorrichtung gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass eine Laugenpumpe und/oder eine Umwälzpumpe (7) an den Wannenbereich (2) angeschlossen ist.
  4. Vorrichtung gemäß Anspruch 1 dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Ventil (3) über das Spülprogramm steuerbar ist.
  5. Verfahren zum Auffangen von Schmutzwasser in Geschirrspülmaschinen, insbesondere unter Verwendung einer Vorrichtung zum Auffangen von Schmutzwasser in Geschirrspülmaschinen nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sich das Schmutzwasser in einem Pumpentopf (1) sammelt, der mit einem unterhalb angeordneten Wannenbereich (2) über ein Ventil (3) in einem Zuflussabschnitt (5) verbunden ist, und dieses Ventil (3) nach Bedarf geöffnet oder gesperrt wird, so dass das Ventil (3) nach Lösung und Absinken von dem Spülgut anhaftenden Speiseresten über Wasserstrahleinwirkungen zu einem Sumpf (6) im Pumpentopf (1) geöffnet wird und eine vorbestimmte, im Spülprogramm festgelegte Zeit, geöffnet bleibt, um den Sumpf (6), insbesondere den mit Speiseresten durchsetzten Sumpf (6), vom Pumpentopf (1) in den Wannenbereich (2) zu befördern, und wobei nach Ablauf der Zeit das Ventil (3) geschlossen wird und über eine Abpumpfunktion (Laugenpumpenfunktion) einer Umwälz-/Laugenpumpe (7) abgepumpt und das Ventil (3) nachfolgend erneut geöffnet wird und ein nur geringfügig mit Speiseresten belastetes Schmutzwasser durch die Umwälzpumpenfunktion der Umwälz-/Laugenpumpe (7) in das Spülprogramm zurückgeführt wird.
