In der Querkeilwalzmaschine (1) gemäß der Erfindung ist als Antriebsmotor (4) ein Permanentmagnet-Motor, insbesondere ein Torque-Motor vorgesehen. Ferner wird die Rotationsgeschwindigkeit der Walzen (2,3) in Abhängigkeit von deren Drehposition gesteuert oder geregelt.
