Abstract

The container has a box-shaped body (2) and sliding esp. pivoted cover (3). The cover has an opening and a secondary cover (7) mounted on/in it. The edge of the secondary cover located at the front in closing direction (10), forms the front edge (5) of the pivoted cover when this is closed. The width of the aperture is dimensioned, so that a human body cannot be jammed in the remaining width between the side edge of the opening and the top edge the container body.

Description

I. AnwendungsgebietI. Field of application

The invention relates to refuse containers whose cup-shaped, open-topped body, which rests mostly on four wheels, is closed by means of a lid.

II. Technischer HintergrundII. Technical background

In these refuse containers, which generally hold 1100 liters of volume in Germany, lid solutions are known as hinged lids (articulated at the trailing edge) or as sliding covers (pushing backwards). The sliding cover are usually designed as a swing lid in which the lid and the body viewed in the side view is formed at the top of a circular arc and from the swing lid about in the middle of a swing arm down, usually on the outside of the body down , Reaches and there is pivotally mounted on the body in trained as a journal pivot axes.

In such sliding covers, in particular the swing lids, a child safety is often required to prevent a child, for example, his head out of curiosity in the opening of the container holds the closing swing lid between the front edge of the swing lid and the front upper edge of the carcass is trapped and even strangled.

Since the swing lid either due to their own weight, due to metal structures, or due to a spring support of the Locking mechanism, each of which is intended to provide a reliable automatic closure, develop relatively high closing forces, the so-called child safety device is required by the European standard EN840.

As a child safety therefore mechanical solutions are known, which usually cause a positive locking of the cover before closing the final closure in a position in which a child could not be trapped when closing the lid. The final closing position of the lid reached only after active operation of the child safety lock, which is usually only possible via an actuating mechanism, as it can be operated only by adults, for example, due to a large distance between two separate triggers or the like.

Such a mechanism described above, as described for example in EP-A-98115018, requires a relatively high cost of manufacture and retrofitting to the refuse container.

Das Dokument DE 92 05 547 U offenbart ein Müllbehälter gemäß dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.The document DE 92 05 547 U discloses a refuse container according to the preamble of claim 1.

A child safety can consist in that the front edge of the sliding cover, in particular of the swing cover, is designed as a separate secondary cover in the sliding cover, as disclosed in DE 92 05 547 U.

The problem with this construction is that rainwater can run into the body through the openings to be closed by the secondary lids.

The document ES 1 046 971 shows a garbage container with hinged lid, which has a closable by a secondary lid recess, said recess has a massive edge elevation, whereby the ingress of rainwater can be prevented.

The object of the present invention is to provide a simpler, less expensive, lightweight and stable solution for a child safety device, in which the penetration of rainwater into the refuse container is avoided.

This object is solved by the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments will be apparent from the dependent claims.

In a secondary lid design, if a child is trapped between the front edge of the sliding lid and the front edge of the body, it does not have to overcome the closing force of the entire sliding lid in order to free itself from this clamping but only to overcome the closing force of this secondary lid.

In the following, the sliding cover always speaks concretely of a swing lid, without limiting the invention thereof, since the swing lid in such refuse containers represents the most common solution of the sliding cover due to the space required.

Since the secondary cover can be made lighter due to its constructive solution and especially because of its smaller size compared to the entire sliding cover and low closing forces developed, even a child is able to open this secondary lid automatically and to get rid of a clamp.

In order to effect a reliable child safety, the front edge of the swing lid is set back, thereby forming a recess which is closed by the secondary lid in its closed position, this recess extending substantially over the entire front edge of the swing lid, so that no residual width of a fixed front edge of the Swing lid remains, which would be sufficient to cause pinching between this residual width of the front edge and the front edge of the body.

The recess is therefore preferably so wide that it covers the entire inner width of the opening of the body on which only such a jamming could take place.

The front edge of the oscillating lid is set back in the form of the recess so far that the recess has a depth which is large enough to prevent pinching, e.g. to prevent a child. The depth of the recess is therefore according to EN 840-6 preferably at least 181 mm, ie the body diameter of a child.

At the same time, the secondary lid is not larger than necessary to avoid clamping, so as not to let its own weight and thus the closing forces caused by it to become too high. To minimize the closing forces of the secondary cover in the opening direction are preferably biased by spring force.

Also, the articulation of the secondary lid on the swing lid or sliding cover should still be so far forward that even with a horizontally standing container - fully open sliding lid or swing lid of the secondary lid is not yet automatically due to gravity from the closed position in the open position of the secondary lid relative to the swing lid moves.

Als konstruktive Lösung des Sekundärdeckels stehen mehrere Varianten zur Verfügung:As a constructive solution of the secondary cover, several variants are available:

The simplest and therefore probably preferable solution is that of the formation of the secondary lid as a hinged lid, which is hinged on the top of the sliding cover just behind the end of the recess via hinges on the swing lid and rests in the closed state on the edge regions of the swing lid next to the recess.

Another possibility is the training as a hinged lid, but the articulation is not carried out at the rear end of the hinged lid, but approximately in the central region, so that the part lying behind the pivot axis of the hinged lid in the closed state rests against the underside of the swing lid, while the front Part rests on the top of the swing lid.

It is important to ensure that the articulation of the hinged lid is sufficiently close to the front edge of the sliding cover to avoid a collision between the projecting into the interior of the body part of the hinged lid and the rear wall of the body when you open the sliding cover and hinged lid contrast.

This reduces the required opening force in relation to the total weight of the secondary lid, however, since the depth necessary to avoid clamping would be the distance between the front edge of the body and the pivot axis of such hinged lid, the total hinged lid in this solution is approximately twice as large as in the above-described embodiment, except for leakage problems against penetration of the precipitates.

Also possible is the execution of the secondary cover as a secondary sliding cover, which is then guided relative to the swing cover in a direction preferably parallel to the closing direction of the primary sliding cover, for example the swing lid.

Also suitable as secondary covers are rotary lids, e.g. can be rotated from the closed to an open position on the top of the swing lid by rotation about an axis of rotation which is substantially perpendicular to the top or plane of the swing lid. In this case, preference is given to multi-part designs of the secondary cover, e.g. two parts whose pivot axes are mounted just outside the rear corner regions of the recess on the swing lid, and the recess are each half closed by one or the other part of the secondary lid.

Another variant of the embodiment of the secondary cover as a sliding cover is the execution as a folding lid, whose two parts are connected to each other about an axis parallel to the front edge hinged together. The rear part is hinged as in the hinged lid solution z. B. attached to the top of the swing lid, while the leading edge of the front part either along the Top of the swing lid opposite to the closing direction is displaced to the rear and / or can be lifted from this completely upwards.

The secondary lid in this case has the prescribed in many countries rubber lip in the leading edge, which avoids pinching of small objects such as fingers between swing cover and front edge of the body.

For this purpose, the rubber lip is attached to the underside of the lid, in this case the secondary lid, and extends obliquely forward down to the touch on the surface of the upper edge of the body, wherein the rubber lip over the entire width, so the front edge, of the swing cover, in this case so the secondary cover extends.

The rubber lip can be used to z. B. in the formation of the secondary lid as a hinged lid to facilitate its opening for a child: For example, if the rubber lip at an acute angle of 20 ° to 80 °, in particular from 30 ° to 60 ° sloping forward down below, a child, which between the swing lid and the upper edge of the body is clamped with the neck, automatically try to rid the head substantially horizontally by moving away from the bin. The head slides on the oblique inside of the rubber lip, which is thereby pressed together with the secondary lid upwards and causes the opening of the secondary lid.

Furthermore, the sliding cover, preferably on the side facing away from the secondary cover, opposite side, another secondary cover, the loading lid having. This is preferably not a part of the rear edge of the sliding cover in the closed state, but closes a fully enclosed by the sliding cover loading opening. When the loading lid is designed as a hinged lid which is articulated on the upper side of the sliding lid next to the loading opening, the loading lid rests in the closed state on the edge area around the loading opening.

The Beladedeckel serves mainly the throwing of garbage in the container from the back of the container forth, which is necessary if - as is common in some countries - the containers remain erected on the roadside and then stand with its front edge to the roadway, which the automatic collection and emptying of the container by a collection vehicle makes sense, and then stand with the back edge to the houses and are laden.

By a partition wall in the body of the container secondary cover or by opening the entire sliding cover or opening the Beladedeckels on the other hand also be used for the insertion of various waste fractions in the various chambers of the carcass.

In all openings or recesses in the sliding cover, in particular swing cover, which are closed by secondary cover or Beladedeckel in the closed state, the additional problem occurs that, despite the convex upward curved top of the sliding cover, especially swing lid, in rainfall of rainwater through the must be avoided by the secondary lids to be closed openings in the body of the container. This is usually caused by a formed in the sliding cover, around the respective opening or recess around extending Randerhöhung, but only works satisfactorily when in the direction of a free flow of rainwater, the Randerhöhung or the corresponding area of the sliding cover, of the out of which the Randerhöhung rises to the top, always downhill or maximum horizontal, but not uphill, runs (with horizontal standing container).

In a circumferentially closed edge as in the loading opening, this is achieved by extending at an approximately rectangular opening transverse to the closing direction of the sliding cover upper and Unterkabnten either horizontally or at the top of this from a raised point in the middle of slightly obliquely outwards runs down. Unless the surface of the sliding cover, in which is the Beladedeckel and the loading opening, runs horizontally in the transverse direction and has no paragraphs, this is not a problem.

The secondary cover, however, extends over a recess which extends almost over the entire width of the sliding cover. In this case, the problem arises that sliding cover, especially when trained as a swing cover, for reasons of higher stiffness and weight optimization in the transverse direction are not flat, but - at least in their outward-facing top - paragraphs, and in particular a middle, lower-lying area , Preferably in the form of an equally wide, in the closing direction over the entire length of the swing lid extending strip. Opposite this deeper middle area, the outer areas are higher, and accordingly at the transition, a likewise extending in the closing direction paragraph is available in each case.

Would the edge of the recess for the secondary cover from the middle region to the outer region in the transverse direction, ie at 90 ° to the closing direction, to the outside, so he would rise in the paragraph from the middle to the side surfaces, with the result that in the central region from the highest point of the sliding lid or swing lid down against the edge flowing rainwater could not flow freely to the side.

To avoid this, the edge extends in the region of the shoulder not only in the transverse direction to the side surfaces, but at the same time down to the front edge of the sliding cover or swinging lid with such an inclination that in the direction of the front corners as before a slope down and thus a drain of the water is guaranteed.

For the same reason, even in the middle, low-lying area, the margin does not run exactly horizontally, but is slightly arch-shaped or gable-shaped with a highest point approximately in the middle.

Since it must be ensured at the same time that the width of the recess at the front edge covers at least the entire inner width of the body to avoid pinching a child in the front corners of the sliding cover, from there the edge of the recess steeply, approximately parallel to the closing direction , rise to the rear.

This results in a total considered for the recess in the plan view, an approximately hat-shaped contour.

By the reaching in of the recess for the secondary lid in the front edge of the swing lid, over the substantial area of its width, the stability of the sliding lid is drastically reduced. Basically, this also applies to the loading opening on the opposite side of the sliding cover, because of its circumferentially closed contour is there, however, a compensation of this loss of stability by a sufficiently strong dimensioned circumferential edge increase possible.

Since the recess for the secondary lid not circumferentially closed, that is surrounded on all sides by the sliding cover, here is a compensation of the loss of stability by the edge enhancement, which primarily serves the rainwater drainage, not or with only such a large material thickness possible, so that an undesirably strong weight gain the result would.

Therefore, the edge enhancement of the refuse container according to the invention is formed as at least with respect to the cross section on all sides closed cavity, which is possible in injection molding of the sliding cover by blow molding or water injection technology.

The tubular formation of the edge elevation on the recess of the secondary cover, which extends in particular over the entire length of the edge, not only reduces the weight, but because of the closed cross-sectional shape also the torsional stiffness not only of the edge region of the recess, but the entire sliding cover.

An additional advantage is achieved when the end faces of this tubular cavity and not only their cross-section are closed, because on the one hand the ingress of dirt and thus an undesirable increase in weight is avoided.

Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of a fully closed refuse container 1, which comprises a cup-shaped, in plan view approximately rectangular, open-topped body 2, which is in each case in the corners on four wheels 19, and its upper opening 22, in the open Position of Fig. 2 can be seen, is closed by a swing cover 3.

The swing cover 3 is mounted in a known manner via rocker arms 17, which laterally outwardly on the body 2 down, supported on peg-shaped swing axles 18 on the outer sides of the body 2.

Since such swing lid 3 can be opened in most cases only in one direction, a front side 27 of the refuse container 1 is defined here, near which the opening 22 of the body begins to open when sliding the swing lid 3, and a back side facing away 28th

In the swing lid 3 of the designed design near the back 28, a Beladedeckel 29 in the swing lid 3 is arranged as a hinged lid, which is irrelevant in the context of the present invention.

The essential for the present invention is - especially in Fig. 3 in the closed state of the swing cover 3 to be recognized - recess 6 in the front region of the swing cover 3, which extends into the front edge 5.

The front edge 5 of the swing cover 3 is thus set back in the form of a recess 6 over the entire region of the front edge 5 and is closed by a secondary cover 7, which is designed as a hinged lid in the closed state. The front edge 4 of the secondary cover 7 then forms the front edge 5 of the swing lid 3. The secondary cover 7, which is shown in Fig. 3 as well as the rear loading lid 29 in the open state, are functionally independent of each other, but may theoretically be identical.

The openings that are closed by these two covers can be identical, so represent recesses that break through the front edge of the swing lid, or they can be designed differently - despite identical design of the lid 7 and 29 - that this front edge in the Rear opening in the swing cover 3 is present and improves the stability of the swing lid 3.

The secondary cover 7 is - as best seen in FIGS. 1 and 3a - pivotally mounted by means of hinges 15 behind the rear end of the recess 6 on the upper side of the swing lid 3, and can be opened up. The opening direction 30 of the secondary lid 7 therefore runs - as shown especially in the sectional view of FIG. 4 - steep, almost vertical upward and thus approximately at right angles to the closing direction 10 of the swing cover 3, along the arc contour of the side cheeks 25, ie the over the horizontal, formed by the front edge 20 and back edge of the body, opening plane protruding portions of the side surfaces.

The set back of the front edge 5 of the swing lid 3 in the form of the recess 6 is to prevent pinching between swing cover 3 and top 20 of the body 2 in the front area.

The width 8, ie the extent of the recess 6 in the swing cover 3 along the front edge 5, is therefore at least as large as the inner width 21 of the opening 22 of the body. 2

The remaining remaining width 13 of the swing lid 3 on both sides next to the width 8 of the recess 6 is thus viewed outside the inner width 21 of the opening 22 of the body in the plan, and serves on the one hand as a support surface for the edge region of the closed secondary cover 7 and on the other hand, the leadership of the swing lid 3 opposite the side cheeks 25 of the body 2:

For this purpose, projecting from the bottom of this residual width 13 of the swing cover 3 guide projections 24 down, thus causing a positive guidance of the swing cover 3 in the transverse direction, ie transversely to the closing direction 10, relative to the body 2 by these guide projections 24 on the inside of the side cheeks 25 to below the upper edge downwardly projecting with a small lateral distance to the inner surface of these side cheeks 25th

The edges 11 of the recess 6 are not parallel, but slightly obliquely to the side surfaces of the swing cover 3 towards each other towards the rear, and additionally form by means of protruding into the recess 6 cranks corner-shaped projections 31 in the plane of the swing cover 3 near the rear edge of the recess. 6 on which the secondary cover 7 can rest in the closed state.

At the front edge 4 of the secondary cover 7 is already known from swing lids rubber lip 16 is provided to prevent pinching fingers and other small objects:

The front edge of the secondary lid 7 is not quite enough, but only down to a few centimeters from above against the upper edge 20 of the body 2 in the front area.

The remaining difference is covered by the rubber lip 16 which is attached to the underside in the front region of the secondary cover 7, for example screwed, and from there obliquely downward down to the top 20 of the body 2 extends down. In this case, the approximately plate-shaped rubber lip 16 at an acute angle 26 of about 30 ° to 60 ° forward to the bottom, which pull out z. B. a trapped body part of a child by pushing up the secondary cover 7 in the opening direction 30 due to the inclination of the rubber lip 16 easier.

The depth 9 of the recess 6 is - even in the region of the lateral rear projections 31 - still large enough to prevent pinching a child, that is greater than at least 181 mm.

Figures 1 - 3 also show a Beladedeckel 29 which closes in the closed state, a loading opening 29 ', which is located on the opposite of the front edge 4 of the swing lid 3 and a half completely surrounded by the swing lid 3, as above all the supervision on the swing cover in Fig. 5 shows. The Beladedeckel 29 is designed as a hinged lid, which is hinged on top of the swing lid 3 above the loading opening 29 'by two hinges, and rests in the closed state on the edge of the sliding cover 3 to the loading opening 29' around. To compensate for the loss of stability of the sliding cover 3 through the loading opening 29 ', the sliding cover circumferentially around the loading opening 29' a Randerhöhung 11 ", which consists of a simple, one-piece bulge of the material of the sliding cover 3 upwards, and also the discharge of rainwater serves.

The figures, in particular Fig. 3a, further show that the outwardly facing top of the swing lid 3 in the transverse direction 40 is not horizontal, but to optimize the rigidity of the swing lid 3 with the least possible material consumption at least on the top, especially on the bottom, has two paragraphs 32. This results in a band-shaped in the closing direction 10 extending middle, lower lying area 33 in the upper side of the swing lid 3, which in particular has a constant width, and on the other hand outside, to the end faces of the container, then higher, outer regions 34, between which the paragraphs 32 are formed.

For reasons of rainwater drainage and stiffening of the swing cover 3 must also at the recess 6 for the secondary cover 7 along the edge 11 extending edge elevation 11 '(whose presence Fig. 3b differs from Fig. 3a) on the sliding cover 3 along the edge 11 towering upwards be educated. However, since the recess 6 must extend beyond the shoulder 32, since it must reach close to the front corners 12a, b, the shoulder 32 must be overcome without the rim 11 or its edge elevation 11 'being there from the center the front corners 12a, b has a rising portion, which would prevent the outflow of rainwater to the front corners 12a, b out.

For this purpose, at least the edge elevation 11 ', in particular also the edge 11 itself, extends from the middle, lower region 33 obliquely outwards in the direction of the front corners 12a, b of the swing cover 3 in such a way that, in spite of the transverse direction 40 Paragraph 32 upward results in a total drop of that area in the top of the swing cover 3, from which the edge elevation 11 'extends upward. For the same reason, the central area of the edge elevation situated in the lower area 33 is not horizontal, but slightly convex or roof-shaped with a highest point, preferably in the middle.

Since at the same time the edge 11 of the front corners 12a, b from steeply to the rear, so completely or approximately parallel to the closing direction 10, must extend to the rear to avoid pinching a child, resulting in Fig. 5 apparent hat shape of the recess 6 with the greatest depth 9 in the central region 33 and a comparatively smaller depth 9 'in the outer regions 34, wherein - for the reasons described above - both in the middle region 33 and in the outer regions 34, the depth 9 or 9' from the longitudinal center 39, so the center through the container and thus the swing cover 3 extending in the closing direction 10, from - to the outside, ie to the end faces 37 toward, steadily decreasing.

On the other hand, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the secondary lid 7 does not have such a hat shape, but is formed approximately rectangularly with preferably relatively strongly rounded upper corners, as well as one recognizable above all in FIG. 3, at the upper edge and the side edges and thus also the upper corners consistently existing, downwardly bent edge, the lid edge 41, the about the height of the edge elevation 11 'has. Due to the hat shape of the recess 6, the articulation of the secondary cover 7 is provided in the region of the central, lower-lying region 33 on the swing lid 3, as the existing there two pairs of mounting holes for the hinges.
The lid edge 41 on the one hand and the edge elevation 11 'on the other hand have approximately the same height, but are dimensioned in detail or the height of the articulated arrangement of the secondary cover 7 on the sliding cover or swing cover 3 is selected so that the sliding cover 7 in Area of protruding into the recess 6 corners 31 of the sliding cover 3 rests there with its underside on the top of the edge elevation 11 ', while the rest of the secondary cover 7 rests on the one hand with its formed as a rubber lip 16 leading edge 4 on the front edge 5 of the body 2 and / or with its lid edge 41 on the top of the sliding cover. 3

A handle 35 is arranged in the middle of the upper front edge of the secondary cover 7 so that by means of this handle 35 on the one hand, the secondary cover 7 can be opened up, but on the other hand, even with closed secondary cover 7, the entire swing lid 3 can be pushed backwards.

Fig. 7 shows in a longitudinal section through the loading opening 29 ', the edge elevation 11 "consists of a one-piece, simple buckling of the material of the swing cover 3 upwards, continuously recirculating over the entire circumference of the loading opening 29' and preferably not set back from the edge.

Fig. 6 zeigt einen Längsschnitt durch die Ausnehmung 6 im Schwingdeckel 3 entlang der Linie VI-VI, also im tiefer liegenden Bereich 33.FIG. 6 shows a longitudinal section through the recess 6 in the swing lid 3 along the line VI-VI, ie in the lower region 33.

It can be seen that the edge elevation 11 'is also formed integrally with the swing cover 3 together and protrudes from this upwards, but as a hollow chamber cross section with approximately rectangular or diamond-shaped cross-section, the only cavity 36 along the entire edge 11, Thus, from one front corner 12a along the entire side and top edges to the other front corner 12b, extends, as shown in Fig. 5, and preferably also at its front ends, so the front corners 12a, b, also sealed, and thus forms a cavity 36 enclosed on all sides. This profile, which is closed in cross-section, achieves a high level of stiffening of the recess 6 enclosed by the edge elevation and thus of the entire oscillating cover 3 with a low material requirement.

Fig. 6 also shows the course of the edge elevation 11 'in the region of the shoulder 32 between the lower central region 33 and the higher region 34 of the swing cover 3, by both the top of the everywhere uniformly high edge elevation 11' and its base, ie Transition to the material of the normal swing cover 3, also in the course through the paragraph 32 through toward the respective front corner, z. B. 12b, constantly drops and thus allows the outflow of rainwater. The same purpose is also apparent in Fig. 5b apparent slightly convex curvature of the edge elevation 11 in the central region 33 with a highest point in the middle.
