Description

  • Die Erfindung betrifft eine modular aufgebaute Spiralstrahlmühle mit verbessertem Verschleißschutz.
  • Spiralstrahlmühlen an sich sind bekannt und werden zur Feinstmahlung oder Deagglomeration von festen Partikeln eingesetzt. Eine Anzahl von früheren Konstruktionen sind ausführlich in der US-A-2 032 827 beschrieben. Sie bestehen üblicherweise aus einem flachzylindrischen Mahlraum, in dem eine nach innen gerichtete kreisförmige oder spiralförmige Strömung eines Gases oder gasförmigen Fluids die Mahlgutpartikel transportiert. Die Teilchenzerkleinerung erfolgt im wesentlichen durch Kollision der Partikel untereinander. Die zum Zerkleinern erforderliche Energie wird über das gasförmige Medium zugeführt, das in vielen gebräuchlichen Ausführungen tangential mit Strahldüsen, die über den Umfang verteilt sind, in die Mahlkammer eingeblasen wird und damit einen Wirbel erzeugt und aufrechterhält. Das Mahlgut wird über eine separate Zuführung in die Mahlkammer eingespeist. Die Mühlen können sowohl horizontal wie vertikal aufgestellt sein. Als Treibgas wird meist Pressluft oder Dampf eingesetzt.
  • Die bekannten Strahlmühlen, beispielsweise nach DE-U-76 17 063 , sind im Prinzip so aufgebaut, dass sich in einem geschlossenen Stahlgehäuse bestehend aus Boden, Außenwand und Deckel nur ein innerer Stahlring befindet. Die eigentliche Mahlkammer befindet sich im Inneren des Stahlrings und wird durch Stahlring und die entsprechenden Oberflächen von Boden und Deckel begrenzt. In den ringförmigen Raum zwischen Gehäuse-Außenwand und innerem Stahlring wird das Treibgas eingeleitet und über mehrere Düsen durch den inneren Stahlring in die Mahlkammer geführt.
  • Je nach Art des zu zerkleinernden Materials tritt im Inneren der Mühle durch Abrasion Verschleiß auf und erfordert deswegen erhöhten Instandhaltungsaufwand. Infolge des Verschleißes kann sich die erzeugte Mahlqualität verändern, und das Produkt wird durch Abrieb verunreinigt. Üblicherweise wird deswegen die Oberfläche der Mahlkammer innen mit einer harten, verschleißfesten Auskleidung gegen Abrasion geschützt. Je nach Einsatzzweck wählt man einen geeigneten verschleißfesten Werkstoff, beispielsweise Hartmetall, Aluminiumoxid, Siliciumcarbid oder Borcarbid oder auch -wie in der GB-A-1 222 257 - Polytetrafluoroethylen (PTFE), PA66 (Nylon) oder Polyurethan. Die Verbindung von Auskleidung und Mühlengehäuse erfolgt üblicherweise durch Auftragschweißen von beispielweise Hartmetall oder durch eine andere Art von kraftschlüssiger Verbindung wie Verschrauben, Verkleben oder Punktschweißen.
  • Beim Auftragschweißen von Hartmetall auf z.B. eine Stahlgrundplatte treten bekanntermaßen thermische Verspannungen und Verformungen in der Grundplatte auf. Die erzeugte Hartmetall-Oberfläche ist unregelmäßig und vor allem in Bezug auf die Oberflächenbeschaffenheit nicht reproduzierbar herstellbar.
    Zur Reparatur der Auskleidung muss entweder die verschlissene Hartmetallbeschichtung ausgebessert oder die Beschichtung zunächst entfernt und anschließend eine neue Auftragschweißung vorgenommen werden. In beiden Fällen treten innere Spannungen und Verformungen auf, so dass es kaum möglich ist, die exakte Mühlengeometrie bzw. Oberflächenbeschaffenheit wieder herzustellen. Insgesamt ist die Reparatur aufwändig und zeitintensiv.
  • Strahlmühlen mit erneuerbaren oder austauschbaren Auskleidungen sind aus der Literatur bekannt, beispielsweise aus den US-A-2 032827 , GB-A-636 503 und GB-A-1 222 257 . Die verschleißfeste Auskleidung in Form von Platten wird beispielsweise in der US-A-2 690 880 beschrieben. Die ringförmige Mahlraumwandung dieser Spiralstrahlmühle ist mit Einzel-Platten ausgekleidet, die aus einer verschleißfesten Legierung bestehen können und mit der Gehäusewand verschraubt sind. In der DE-U-7300113 wird eine Vertikalstrahlmühle vorgestellt, die innen vollständig mit einer Vielzahl von flachen Platten aus verschleißfestem Material ausgekleidet ist. Die Platten sind bevorzugt aus Borcarbid (BC) oder Siliciumcarbid (SiC) gefertigt und flächig mit dem Mühlengehäuse verklebt oder verschweißt. Die DE-U-299 09 743 beschreibt eine horizontal aufgestellte Spiralstrahlmühle in Modulbauweise, die nur punktuell mit Verschleißschutz ausgekleidet ist und bei der das Treibgas teilweise über einen Belüftungsboden in die Mahlkammer eingeleitet wird.
    Allen genannten Ausführungen ist weiterhin gemeinsam, dass die Strahldüsen, die in der ringförmigen Mahlraumwandung sitzen und durch die das Hochdruck-Treibgas eingeleitet wird, durch den zweischichtigen Aufbau der Mahlraumwandung (bestehend aus Stahlring und Innenauskleidung) hindurchführen und selbst verschleißfest ausgeführt sein müssen, beispielsweise aus Keramik. Die Düsendurchführung muss überdies druckdicht ausgeführt sein. Bei jeder Reparatur der Mahlkammerauskleidung müssen die Düsen zudem ausgebaut und anschließend wieder eingebaut werden.
  • Eine diesbezüglich weiterentwickelte modulare Spiralstrahlmühle ist aus der GB-A-2262896 bekannt. Dort schliessen zwei Stahlaussenplatten zwischen sich eine Mahlkammer und eine die Mahlkammer ringförmig umgebende Verteilerkammer ein. Die Mahlkammer ist mit einer Bodenplatte und einer Deckelplatte unter Reibsitz ausgekleidet, die zwischen sich einen Düsenring einklemmen, der die Mahlkammer seitlich zur Verteilerkammer hin abgrenzt. Zum Schutz gegen abrasiven Verschleiß bestehen Bodenplatte, Deckelplatte und Düsenring aus verschleißfestem Material, wie z. B. PTFE oder Keramik.
  • Züsätzlich zu der abrasiven Belastung des Mühleninneren tritt bei der Verwendung von hochgespanntem Dampf mit Temperaturen von bis zu 350° C - beispielsweise bei der Feinmahlung von Titandioxidpigment - beim Anfahren der Mühle eine signifikante thermische Belastung auf. Die bevorzugt eingesetzten verschleißfesten Werkstoffe wie Carbide, Nitride oder Hartmetall sind bekanntermaßen sehr spröde. Aufgrund des unterschiedlichen Wärmedehnungsverhalten der verschiedenen Werkstoffe in Gehäuse und Auskleidung kann es daher schnell zum Bruch des Verschleißschutzes kommen.
    Außerdem besteht wegen der unterschiedlichen Elastizitätsmoduln von Träger- und Beschichtungsmaterial die Gefahr, dass die beschichteten Teile bei Beaufschlagung mit Spannung leicht mit Rissbildung reagieren, was zu einem Abplatzen der Schleißschicht führt.
  • Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Spiralstrahlmühle zum Zerkleinern von pulverförmigen Materialien bereitzustellen, die verschleißfest und darüber hinaus weitestgehend druckstoßfest und thermoschockunempfindlich ist, verminderten Instandsetzungsaufwand erfordert und eine verbesserte Mahlqualität liefert.
  • Die Aufgabe ist durch eine modulare Spiralstrahlmühle mit den im Anspruch 1 angegebenen Merkmalen gelöst.
  • Weitere vorteilhafte Ausführungsvarianten sind in den Unteransprüchen beschrieben.
  • Die erfindungsgemäße modulare Strahlmühle ist aus einem Außengehäuse und einem in dem Außengehäuse frei eingelagerten Mahlgehäuse aufgebaut. Sowohl das Außengehäuse wie das Mahlgehäuse ist ein separates und - abgesehen von den Zu- und Ableitungen - ein in sich geschlossenes Gehäuse. Die Kennzeichnung "frei eingelagert" bedeutet, dass Mahlgehäuse und Außengehäuse nicht fest miteinander verbunden sind. Das Außengehäuse ist wie bekannt aus Stahl gefertigt. Das Mahlgehäuse besteht dagegen vollständig aus verschleißfestem Werkstoff und zeichnet sich durch eine besondere Konstruktion aus.
  • In der DE-U-299 09 743 wird betont, dass eine vollständig aus beispielsweise Siliciumcarbid bestehende Mühle wegen ihrer Sprödigkeit nur eingeschränkt einsetzbar ist. Bei den bekannten Spiralstrahlmühlen besteht deswegen das Gehäuse selbst aus zwei Schichten: zum ersten aus einem Trägerwerkstoff, in der Regel Stahl, und zum zweiten aus einer auf den Trägerwerkstoff innen aufgebrachten Auskleidung aus verschleißfestem Material. Das erfindungsgemäße Mahlgehäuse ist dagegen vollständig aus einem verschleißfesten Werkstoff gefertigt. Infrage kommen beispielsweise Carbide wie Wolframcarbid (z. B. WC-Co-Legierung bekannt als Widia®), Siliciumcarbid, Borcarbid oder andere geeignete Carbide sowie Nitride, Boride oder andere Keramiken oder Hartmetall. Weiterhin können die verschleißfesten Werkstoffe auch in Kombination miteinander verwendet werden.
    Diese Konstruktion ist nur möglich, weil das Mahlgehäuse selbsttragend, ohne feste Verbindung und spannungsfrei in das Außengehäuse eingelagert ist
  • Gemäß einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform besteht das Mahlgehäuse aus wenigstens vier Teilen. Bei einer horizontal aufgestellten Mühle sind dies der Boden, die ringförmige Seitenwandung, der Deckel mit dem angeformten Produktaustragsstutzen und der Mahlguteintragsstutzen. Im Deckel befindet sich neben dem Produktaustragsstutzen die Öffnung für den Mahlguteintrag. Boden, Seitenwandung, Deckel und Mahlguteintragsstutzen berühren sich kraftschlüssig ohne besondere Dichtung. Das gesamte mehrteilige Mahlgehäuse liegt spannungsfrei innerhalb des Außengehäuses. Die Mühle kann auch entsprechend vertikal aufgestellt werden.
  • Der Zwischenraum zwischen Außengehäuse und Mahlgehäuse-Seitenwandung dient als ringförmiger Hochdruck-Treibgaskanal. Das Treibgas wird über einen oder mehrere Stutzen zunächst in den ringförmigen Treibgaskanal zwischen Außen- und Innengehäuse und weiter über einfache Bohrungen im Ring des Mahlgehäuses (Mahlkammerwand) in das Innere des Mahlgehäuses, die Mahlkammer, geleitet. Es ist in keinem Fall erforderlich, die Bohrungen mit einem besonderen Verschleißschutz auszukleiden oder besondere Maßnahmen zur Abdichtung zu ergreifen, wie dies bei den bekannten Mühlen nötig ist, weil dort Düsen eingebaut sind.
  • Die Verbindung der Teile des Außengehäuses und des Mahlgehäuses zu einer druckfesten Mühle erfolgt über Schrauben oder Klammern am äußeren Umfang des Außengehäuses. Die Verschraubung bzw. die Verklammerung hat den Vorteil, dass die Mühle zu Reinigungs- oder Wartungsarbeiten sehr leicht und sehr schnell geöffnet und wieder verschlossen werden kann. Die Einzelteile des Mahlgehäuses werden einfach herausgehoben bzw. eingesetzt. Auf diese Weise ist auch der Treibgaskanal direkt zugänglich und kann problemlos gereinigt werden.
  • Die Einzelteile des verschleißfesten Mahlgehäuses - Boden, Seitenwandung, Deckel - können auch weiter in Segmente unterteilt werden, wenn die einteilige Herstellung aus gesintertem Werkstoff wegen zu großen Formats der Teile Probleme bereitet. Die Segmente werden so aneinander gefügt, dass das Mahlgehäuse in sich dicht ist und spannungsfrei im Außengehäuse liegt.
  • Obwohl die Treibgaseinleitung in den Mahlraum bevorzugt über einfache Bohrungen erfolgt, ist auch die Verwendung von Düsen, speziell Laval-Düsen möglich. Die Düsen werden mit bekannten Techniken eingebaut; beispielsweise können mit Hilfe von Speziallot Buchsen mit Gewindebohrungen eingesetzt werden, die die Düsen aufnehmen.
    Als Gas können hochgespannter Dampf, Luft oder andere Gase verwendet werden. Der Druck (bis ca. 35 bar) und die Temperatur (bis ca. 350°C) sind auf das jeweilige Mahlgut und die gewünschte Mahlfeinheit abzustimmen.
  • Wenn die Mühle bei erhöhten Temperaturen betrieben wird, entsteht beim Aufheizen am Boden und Deckel zwischen Außengehäuse und Mahlgehäuse ein Überdruck, der durch Entlüftungsbohrungen in Boden und Deckel des Außengehäuses abgeleitet wird.
  • Die Oberfläche des Mahlgehäuse-Innenraums kann beliebig gestaltet werden. Im allgemeinen Fall ist sie glatt. Unter bestimmten Mahlbedingungen ist es für die Mahlqualität vorteilhaft, die Oberfläche auf der Bodenplatte oder auf den anderen Innenraumoberflächen und in dem Mahlguteintragsstutzen strukturiert auszuführen, d. h. mit Riefen, Nuten, Wellen, Noppen oder dergleichen zu versehen. Beispielsweise hat es sich bei der Feinmahlung von Titandioxid-Pigmenten herausgestellt, dass durch eine derart strukturierte Mahlkammeroberfläche die optischen Eigenschaften des Pigments wie etwa der Glanz beeinflusst werden können.
  • Vorteilhaft wird die Spiralstrahlmühle eingesetzt zur Feinmahlung von Titandioxidpigment-Partikeln, wobei hochgespannter Dampf als Treibgas verwendet wird. Ungeachtet dessen ist die Mühle ebenso geeignet, andere Materialien fein zu mahlen wie Pigmente und Farbstoffe allgemein oder andere Materialien wie anorganische und Metall-Oxide, Toner, mineralische Füllstoffe (Carbonat, Kreide, Talk etc.), Waschmittel, Pharmazeutika, Nahrungsmittel, Kosmetika, Düngemittel, Herbizide, Pestizide, Insektizide, Fungizide, Klärschlamm etc.
  • Eine vorteilhafte Ausführung der Erfindung wird im folgenden anhand der Figuren 1 bis 3 beispielhaft beschrieben:

  • Figur 1 zeigt in Draufsicht die erfindungsgemäße Spiralstrahlmühle mit Mahlguteintrag (1) und Injektorgaseintritt (3) in den Mahlraum (7) sowie den mittig angeordneten Produktaustrag (2). Die Treibgaszufuhr (4) erfolgt randlich durch das Außengehäuse (13, 14) in den Treibgaskanal (5). Die Seitenwandung des Mahlgehäuses, der Mahlgehäusering (8), ist mit Bohrungen (6) für die Treibgaseinleitung in den Mahlraum (7) versehen.
  • In Figur 2a wird der Schnitt AB zum besseren Verständnis als Explosionszeichnung dargestellt. Figur 2b zeigt das Detail X aus Figur 2a. Das äußere Stahlgehäuse ist ausgeführt als Schale (14) und Deckel (13) mit angeformtem Produktaustragsstutzen (18) und Mahlguteintrags/lnjektorgaseintrittsstutzen ((20), dargestellt in Figur 3a). Das darin liegende Mahlgehäuse, hergestellt aus verschleißfestem Material, besteht aus Boden (10), Ring (8) und Deckel (9) ebenfalls mit angeformtem Produktaustragsstutzen (9a) sowie aus dem Mahlguteintragsstutzen (19), der in Figur 3a/b dargestellt ist. Zwischen Außenschale (14) bzw. -deckel (13) und Mahlgehäusering (8) befindet sich der Treibgaskanal (5). Im Inneren des Mahlgehäuses befindet sich der Mahlraum (7). Nur während des Zusammenbaus wird der bruchempfindliche Mahlgehäusedeckel (9) am Produktaustragsstutzen (18) mit Fixierschrauben positioniert.
  • Die Treibgaszuführung (4) in den Treibgaskanal (5) kann über eine oder mehrere Einleitungsstutzen erfolgen. Vorteilhafterweise erfolgt die Zuführung über mehrere Zuleitungen, um die erforderliche Gasmenge störungsfrei und ohne Druckverlust in den Treibgaskanal einleiten zu können.
  • Figur 1 zeigt, wie der Mahlgehäusering (8) gegenüber dem Mahlgehäuseboden ((10) in Figur 2a) mit Hilfe eines Fixierstifts (16), der in einer Aussparung von Mahlgehäusering (8) und Außengehäuseboden (14) lose eingesetzt ist, fixiert wird. Der Außengehäusedeckel (13) kann anschließend, ohne dass die Mühle geöffnet werden müsste, um bis zu 180° gegenüber dem Mahlkammerring (8) verdreht werden, so dass unterschiedliche geometrische Anordnungen von Mahlguteintrag zu Treibgaseindüsung in die Mahlkammer einstellbar sind.
  • Die Anzahl der Bohrungen bzw. Düsen (6) hängt vom Mahlkammerdurchmesser ab. Beispielsweise kann man bei einem kleineren Durchmesser von z.B. 200 mm mit 4 Düsen und bei größeren Durchmessern von etwa 1000 mm mit 16 Düsen arbeiten. Es sind jedoch auch andere Kombinationen möglich. Der Anstellwinkel der Bohrungen (6) in der Mahlgehäuseringwandung (8) wird in Hinblick auf das zu mahlende Gut und die gewünschte Mahlqualität gewählt. Der Fachmann kennt die Zusammenhänge zwischen Düsen- bzw. Bohrungsanstellwinkel, Anzahl der Düsen, Treibgasdruck, Durchsatz usw. und Mahlfeinheit bei den verschiedenen Produkten. Aufgrund des modulartigen Aufbaus der Gesamtmühle und des Mahlgehäuses im besonderen können der Anstellwinkel wie die Anzahl der Bohrungen oder Düsen durch Austausch des Mahlgehäuserings bzw. einzelner Segmente leicht geändert werden.
  • Die Berührungsflächen der einzelnen Teile des Mahlgehäuses (8, 9, 10) untereinander sind selbstabdichtend geschliffen. Die Abdichtung zwischen Mahlgehäusering (8) und Außengehäuseschale (14) und Außengehäusedeckel (13) erfolgt mit Hilfe einer Dichtung (11), beispielsweise einer Graphitdichtung. Üblicherweise unterscheiden sich die Oberflächentoleranzen des Außengehäuses und des Mahlgehäuses um ein bis zwei Größenordnungen. Deswegen ist es vorteilhaft, jedoch nicht erforderlich, zwischen Mahlgehäuseboden (10) und Außengehäuseboden (14) bzw. zwischen Mahlgehäusedeckel (9) und Außengehäusedeckel (13) je eine Ausgleichsfolie (12) einzulegen, die eine kraftschlüssige Verbindung herstellt. Die gesamte Mühle wird über Schraubklammern (15) am äußeren Umfang zusammen gehalten. Auf diese Weise ist sowohl das Mahlgehäuse (8, 9, 10, 19) wie der Hochdruck-Treibgaskanal (5) druckfest abgedichtet.
    Weiterhin enthalten Außengehäuseschale (14) und Außengehäusedeckel (13) eine oder mehrere Entlüftungsbohrungen (17), die den Überdruck, der beim Aufheizen zwischen Außengehäuse und Mahlgehäuse entsteht, ableiten und so einen spannungsfreien Betrieb ermöglichen.
  • Figur 3a zeigt in Seitenansicht den Mahlguteintrag entlang Schnitt CD. Figur 3b zeigt das Detail Y aus Figur 3a. In der dargestellten Ausführung wird das zu mahlende Material (1) über einen Trichter zugeführt und mit Hilfe des Injektorgasstroms (3) schräg in den Mahlraum (7) eingeführt. Der verschleißfeste Mahlguteintragsstutzen (19) ist als lose in den Eintragsstutzen des Außengehäuses (20) eingesetzte Buchse ausgeführt, die nur während des Einbauvorgangs mit einer Fixierschraube positioniert wird.
  • Die erfindungsgemäße Strahlmühle ist thermoschockunempfindlich und weitestgehend druckstoßfest.

Claims (7)

  1. Modular aufgebaute Spiralstrahlmühle, in deren Stahl-Außengehäuse (13, 14) ein vollständig aus mindestens einem Werkstoff aus der Gruppe der Hartmetalle Carbide, Boride, Nitride und Keramiken bestehendes Mahlgehäuse (8, 9, 10) frei eingelagert ist und im Boden (14) und Deckel (13) des Außengehäuses mindestens eine Entlüftungsbohrung (17) vorhanden ist.
  2. Spiralstrahlmühle nach Anspruch 1 dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Mahlgehäuse (8, 9, 10, 19) aus mindestens 4 Teilen besteht.
  3. Spiralstrahlmühle nach Anspruch 1 oder 2 dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Mahlraum-Oberflächen glatt und/oder strukturiert sind.
  4. Spiralstrahlmühle nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 3 dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    dass zwischen Außengehäuse-Boden (14) und Mahlgehäuse sowie zwischen Außengehäuse-Deckel (13) und Mahlgehäuse jeweils eine Ausgleichsfolie (12) eingelegt ist.
  5. Verfahren zum Betreiben einer Spiralstrahlmühle nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 4 dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    dass die Spiralstrahlmühle mit Luft oder einem anderen Gas oder mit hochgespanntem Wasserdampf betrieben wird.
  6. Verwendung der Spiralstrahlmühle nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche von 1 bis 4
    zur Feinmahlung von Titandioxid-Pigmenten.
  7. Verwendung der Spiralstrahlmühle nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche von 1 bis 4
    zur Feinmahlung von Pigmenten und Farbstoffen, anorganischen Oxiden, Metalloxiden, Tonern, mineralischen Füllstoffen wie Carbonat, Kreide, Talk, Waschmitteln, Nahrungsmitteln, Düngemitteln, Herbiziden, Pestiziden, Insektiziden, Fungiziden und Klärschlamm.
