Description

Article à revêtement imitant les gouttelettes et son procédé de fabrication
La présente invention concerne un article à revêtement imitant les gouttelettes de liquide.
De tels articles sont connus, notamment dans le domaine des boîtiers de cosmétique (et en particulier des capots de rouge à lèvre ou analogue). Selon le document GB 855 152, on applique à l'article une composition liquide contenant dans un liant des bulles de résine se formant par expansion à la cuisson. L'aspect obtenu n'est pas vraiment celui de gouttelettes déposées à la surface de l'objet mais plutôt de bulles incluses dans le revêtement. Pour obtenir un aspect de gouttelettes déposées, imitant un peu la buée qui peut se former sur une surface, le document US 5 324 546 fait connaître la pulvérisation de gouttelettes de résine sur la surface de l'article et sa réticulation. Cependant, l'aspect obtenu est difficile à prévoir et à reproduire d'un article sur l'autre.
Le but de l'invention est de proposer un article et son procédé de fabrication qui comporte un revêtement reproductible sous forme de gouttelettes bien formées en relief, et dans lequel il soit possible de contrôler la taille des gouttelettes de manière, par exemple, à choisir une répartition précise des gouttelettes petites ou grosses et obtenir des effets visuels bien caractéristiques.
L'invention atteint son but grâce à un procédé pour fabriquer sur une surface d'un article un revêtement adhérent en relief imitant l'apparence de gouttelettes de liquide, ledit procédé comprenant l'application d'une matière liquide durcissable sur la surface de manière à former sur la surface des gouttes éparses saillantes que l'on durcit ensuite, caractérisé en ce que l'application est réalisée par report direct. Par report direct, on entend une application de type impression par report : la matière liquide est d'abord contenue dans diverses réserves prévues dans un support d'impression, selon un motif déterminé qui sera reproduit à l'inverse sur la surface de l'article ; on amène le support devant la surface à imprimer (ou vice versa) et la matière liquide passe directement des réserves à la surface. Le support d'impression peut être une matrice en caoutchouc de godets alvéolés ou un cliché métallique, mais de manière préférée, l'application se fait par sérigraphie. Les techniques de sérigraphie sont bien connues en elles- mêmes et ne seront pas décrites ici. L'utilisation de la sérigraphie pour l'obtention de décors d'articles cosmétiques est aussi décrite dans le document EP 0 860 300. On adapte la toile de sérigraphie à l'effet recherché: d'une part, on privilégie une grosseur de maille suffisante pour permettre un passage rapide de la matière déposée ; d'autre part, l'épaisseur du photopolymère destiné à former le motif imprimé par insolation est suffisamment grande pour former une réserve de matière propre à former des gouttes.
Avantageusement, on associe à une surface une matière liquide présentant avec elle une différence de tension superficielle donnant lieu à un faible mouillage. Autrement dit, la tension de surface du produit d'application donnant les gouttes est telle, en fonction de la tension de surface de la surface de l'article, qu'on obtienne la formation d'une vraie goutte, de type "sphère" un peu aplatie (elle forme un angle rentrant avec la surface sur laquelle elle est déposée), et non un étalement du produit sur la surface. La surface de l'article (métallique ou en plastique) est généralement recouverte, avant l'application des gouttelettes, d'un vernis. L'homme du métier sait modifier et régler la tension superficielle du vernis et/ou de la résine par l'adjonction de silicones, par exemple, pour obtenir le couple satisfaisant. De préférence, on abaisse plutôt la tension superficielle du vernis support par ajout de silicones, pour avoir une différence de tensions superficielles entre celui-ci et le produit appliqué d'environ 30%. Avantageusement, on applique des gouttes de différentes grosseurs sur la surface, et encore plus avantageusement, on les applique de manière ordonnée, par exemple de manière croissante de bas en haut d'un article tel qu'un bouchon, et plus ou moins alignées verticalement, de manière à imiter les bulles en formation dans un verre de Champagne. Après dépôt, la matière des gouttelettes est durcie par polymérisation à l'air, ou à la chaleur ou sous ultraviolets. Les gouttelettes forment un relief marqué à la surface de l'article.
La matière des gouttelettes est avantageusement une colle ou un vernis. Elles peuvent être colorées ou non (cristal).

Claims

REVENDICATIONS
5 1. Procédé pour fabriquer sur une surface d'un article un revêtement adhérent en relief imitant l'apparence de gouttelettes de liquide, ledit procédé comprenant l'application d'une matière liquide durcissable sur la surface de manière à former sur la surface des gouttes éparses saillantes que l'on durcit ensuite, caractérisé en ce que l'application o est réalisée par report direct.
2. Procédé selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que l'application est réalisée par sérigraphie.
5 3. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce que l'on associe à une surface une matière liquide présentant avec elle une différence de tension superficielle donnant lieu à un faible mouillage.
0 4. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce qu'on applique des gouttes de différentes grosseurs sur la surface.
5. Procédé selon la revendication 4, caractérisé en ce qu'on applique des 5 gouttes de différentes grosseurs de manière ordonnée.
6. Article comportant un revêtement adhérent en relief imitant l'apparence de gouttelettes de liquide, résultant de l'application d'une matière liquide durcissable sur la surface de manière à former sur la 0 surface des gouttes éparses saillantes que l'on durcit ensuite, caractérisé en ce que l'application a été réalisée par report direct, selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5.
