Claims (9)
- Switchable supporting element (1) for a valve drive of an internal combustion engine, having an outer part (3) which can be arranged by means of its outer lateral surface (2) in a receptacle of an internal combustion engine and in whose bore (4) runs an axially movable inner element (5) which has a head (6) for supporting a cam follower at one end and which has a hydraulic play compensating device (7), with it being possible for the outer part (3) and the inner element (5) to be selectively coupled to one another in an axially remote relative position by way of coupling means (8) which, in the decoupled state, run in the inner element (5) and, in the coupled state, run in sections in a receptacle (9) of the bore (4) of the outer part (3), and with feed lines (10) for feeding hydraulic medium to the coupling means (8) and to the play compensating device (7) being provided, characterized in that common feed lines are formed in sections, which common feed lines extend from the lateral surface (2) of the outer part (3), with the combined region thereof being composed of two diametrically oppositely situated passages (11) in the outer part (3) and the receptacle (9) which follows in the radially inward direction and which is produced as an encircling groove, with the receptacle (9) being intersected by the passages (11) and being formed at the same time as a pressure chamber for the hydraulic medium for moving the coupling means (8) into the inner element (5), with at least one path (12) leading away from the receptacle (9) as a separate feed line of the hydraulic medium to the play compensating device (7), with two pistons being provided as coupling means (8), which pistons run in a radial bore (13) of the inner element (5), are acted on axially away from one another by pressure spring means (14) and are in alignment with the passages (11), and with the inner element (5) running in a freely rotatable manner in the outer part (3).
- Supporting element according to Claim 1,
characterized in that the outer part (3) is designed such that it can be inserted in a freely rotatable manner into the receptacle of the internal combustion engine. - Supporting element according to Claim 2,
characterized in that the outer lateral surface (2) of the outer part (3) has an annular groove (15) which is fluidically connected to the respective passage (11). - Supporting element according to Claim 3,
characterized in that the annular groove (15) runs axially above the receptacle (9) in the outer part (3), with a duct (16) leading from said annular groove (15) to the respective passage (11) as a fluid connection. - Supporting element according to Claim 1,
characterized in that the pistons as coupling means (8) have, extending from their radially outer end side (17), a flattened portion (19) on their underside (18), by means of which flattened portion (19) said pistons bear against a facing annular surface (20) of the receptacle (9) in the coupled state. - Supporting element according to Claim 1,
characterized in that the path (12) to the play compensating device (7) is formed from a rising duct (21) such as a longitudinal duct on the outer casing (22) of the inner element (5), which rising duct (21), axially below an upper end side (23) of the outer part (3), merges into a transverse bore (24) as a further constituent part of the path (12) through the inner element (5) at least indirectly to the hydraulic play compensating device (7). - Supporting element according to Claim 1,
characterized in that an upper end side (23) of the outer part (3) has a radially inwardly pointing section (25) which serves as a vertical stop for the inner element (5). - Supporting element according to Claim 7,
characterized in that the inwardly pointing section (25) is produced as an annular collar which is obtained optionally by flanging, with an outer casing (22) of the inner element (5) having, proceeding from its upper end side (26), a diameter reduction (27) whose annular shoulder (28) is provided with a vertical stop by the inwardly pointing section (25). - Supporting element according to Claim 7 or 8, characterized in that a locking play of the pistons as coupling means (8) in the receptacle (9) is set by means of the vertical stop or in the region of the vertical stop.
