Definitions

  • the invention relates to a handgun with a magazine holder and at least one magazine for receiving sharp cartridges.
  • the case of the magazine has a front and a rear wall and an upper opening for dispensing the cartridges. Further, the distance of the outer surfaces of the front and rear wall corresponds to the dimensions of the magazine holder, while the distance between the inner surfaces of the front and rear wall is adapted to receive the sharp cartridge.
  • the invention also relates to a security magazine for firing of maneuver cartridges with such a handgun, in particular a rapid-fire rifle.
  • a conventional magazine in particular that of a self-loading handgun, consists of a four-edged tube closed at the bottom but open at the top and having a front wall, a rear wall and left and right side walls. As a rule, the front and rear walls are considerably narrower than the side walls.
  • the cartridge is pushed out of the closure of the associated weapon forward from the magazine. Therefore, the top of the magazine front wall is recessed over a certain distance down. Also, the magazine rear wall is a bit, albeit narrower and / or smaller, recessed to pass the closure.
  • the side walls are extended upward and form magazine lips, which prevent falling out of the cartridge from the magazine upwards. A feeder pushed up by a spring pushes the cartridges upwards.
  • the magazine according to the invention is usually a straight or slightly curved rod magazine. But it can also be designed as a drum magazine or otherwise. It is significant that in at least a part of the distance between the front and rear wall in the magazine interior, the length of the charged cartridge does not significantly exceed, and that the front wall has a recess at the top, the reloading of the uppermost cartridge forward by the closure of the weapon when reloading allowed.
  • the object of the invention is to reduce these dangers at least.
  • the aforementioned handgun is assigned an additional magazine, which is only for - compared to the sharp cartridges shortened -Manöverpatronen, but not usable for sharp cartridges.
  • this maneuver cartridge magazine the distance of the inner surfaces of the front and rear walls is shortened, at least in the area of the upper magazine opening, to a distance shorter than the sharp cartridge, but sufficiently long to accommodate the maneuver cartridges is (claim 1).
  • the invention proposes, in short, different magazines for a handgun, in the magazine for maneuver cartridges no sharp cartridges can be loaded because they are too long.
  • maneuver cartridge magazine only shortened cartridges, so maneuver cartridges, if you do not consider the two overhead cartridges in a double-tiered magazine. Because of the recessed front wall, the latter can still be pressed into the magazine and be reloaded by it into the weapon. However, these cartridges are exposed and a quick glance at the magazine can assure the shooter that he has not actually loaded a sharp cartridge.
  • a magazine is known (US 4 079 535), which has according to the preamble of claim 1, the outer dimensions of a normal rifle magazine, but inside is adapted to receive Randfeuerpatronen caliber at most equal, but much shorter than that standard rifle cartridges, and have a conical sleeve (the Orignalpatrone is bottle-shaped).
  • This magazine is set up on its back for receiving the rimfire cartridges, while ramps and guides are placed on its front to guide the short rimfire cartridge until it reaches the chamber.
  • the invention proposes in a further embodiment, that a locking piece is provided which projects beyond the magazine front wall upwards and is removable or retractable only when inserted into the weapon magazine. This makes it impossible to insert a sharp cartridge into the maneuver cartridge magazine (claim 3).
  • the locking piece shortens the distance for receiving cartridges beyond the edge of the magazine front wall. Now it is impossible to press a sharp cartridge in a position suitable for reloading into the magazine, not even as a topmost cartridge. In addition, with the double-row cartridge magazine, the sharp cartridge is not held by the magazine lip. The locking piece but must be removable or movable. Otherwise it would not be possible to carry the uppermost cartridge through the lock into the warehouse in the weapon. The removal or movement of the locking piece is not required for unloading the magazine. For this it suffices namely (a double-breasted magazine provided), with your finger or a tool to depress the second cartridge a little bit. The topmost cartridge can then be removed from the magazine or shaken out.
  • the locking piece can form its own component; preferred, however, is that the spacer is extended upwards to form the locking piece and displaceable downwards (claim 4).
  • the spacer which rests in this case on the inside of the front wall of the magazine is not riveted to this front, but is guided on this and can move so far up that it forms with its uppermost portion of the locking piece.
  • the spacer extends in the interior of the magazine preferably so far down that it is covered in any position at least by a part of the feeder of the magazine when it is in its lowest position, so when the magazine is filled. The feeder or the cartridges can thus not jam with the spacer and locking piece.
  • the spacer and locking piece should be at least locally flexible.
  • the locking piece alone or in its combined with the spacer design is preferably made of plastic. This results in a low weight in conjunction with a cost-effective production, such as by injection molding. It is also easily possible to choose a limited flexible plastic. Further, in the upper end of the locking piece, facing the magazine interior, a reinforcement made of metal is further embedded (claim 5).
  • the spacer together with locking piece of a bending plate, preferably spring band.
  • an additional metal reinforcement - which is provided for example in the case of a plastic spacer (or only blocking piece) - is dispensed with (claim 6).
  • the reloading of the uppermost cartridge can namely exert a longitudinal force on the underlying cartridge.
  • the longitudinal force can press the crimped tip of the maneuver cartridge against the locking piece.
  • This second cartridge thus seeks to scratch the locking piece.
  • it comes to the choice of plastic its wear resistance is lower. So it can be chosen plastic, which can be processed as possible without waste and with the highest accuracy. This plastic can be flexible.
  • the recess (or protrusion) in the wall of the magazine may be inaccessible from the outside. The operation is then possible only by means of a tool. A non-commissioned officer could carry this with him. However, it is preferred that the recess opens into the outer surface of the magazine, and that the recessed into the recess detent over the outer contour of the recess to the outside (claim 8).
  • the size of the externally accessible part and the force of the detent spring now determine whether the detent is easily detachable from the outside with the finger or not.
  • the latch is associated with this actuated training, which is arranged in the magazine receptacle so that upon insertion of the magazine in the weapon training against the magazine recording abuts and the latch the recess lifts (claim 9).
  • the locking piece or the slider is associated with a spring that presses this or this down so that it or he can snap down after releasing the catch.
  • it must be taken care of a device that the Sperr Korean or the Slider pushes upwards before or when the magazine should be removed from the weapon and new cartridges loaded into the magazine.
  • the slider or the locking piece must necessarily be in its uppermost position before the magazine is filled with cartridges.
  • the locking piece or slide associated with this or this upwardly pressing spring (claim 10).
  • the slider After releasing the catch, the slider can be pushed freely down against the force of the spring. Therefore, when the magazine is accidentally released by a pressure against the magazine when handling the magazine, the slider remains in the uppermost position. The latch can thus immediately intervene again when said pressure subsides. However, it must be ensured that the slider is pushed down when the magazine is inserted into the weapon.
  • the locking piece or the slide has a nose which passes through a magazine wall with game, protrudes outwards and is arranged in such a position that they at the beginning or in the course of insertion of the magazine to a part of the weapon strikes so that when fully inserted magazine, the locking piece or the slider is moved so far that the locking piece is immersed behind the front wall (claim 11).
  • the magazine is thus fully automatically and without additional action of the shooter only prepared for dispensing cartridges when it is fully inserted into its receptacle in the weapon. If it is removed again, then the nose comes free and the spring moves the slider back up. This happens before the magazine is completely removed from the weapon. When pulling out of the magazine below the latch is released. The slider or its locking piece remains now in top position. There he is or it is locked by the engagement of the latch.
  • the spring may be formed as a leaf spring, which is inserted near the upper end of the slider in this and is supported on a projection of the front wall (claim 12).
  • This leaf spring may be integrally formed together with the slide made of plastic and optionally also be formed in a zigzag shape.
  • the spring can also be formed separately and attached to the slider, e.g. riveted.
  • the separate spring can be arbitrarily strong.
  • the spring can also be designed as a spiral spring and inserted between the nose and its associated breakthrough of the front wall or elsewhere (claim 13).
  • the advantage is that the spring can be made cheaper than a separate leaf spring.
  • the magazine according to the invention is characterized according to a further embodiment of the invention as a set up only for cartridges magazine (claim 14), so that confusion is excluded. It can be readily determined whether or not a maneuver cartridge magazine is in a weapon. With appropriate labeling, this is also possible from a distance. Therefore, this maneuver cartridge magazine preferably has a distinct shock color.
  • the magazine can be made of sheet metal or of transparent or dark or camouflage dyed plastic. However, it is preferred that the magazine housing of colored Plastic consists (claim 15). So it is impossible that the color of the magazine disappears due to excessive brushing.
  • the invention primarily relates to a weapon having at least two magazines, with the weapon and one of the magazines (for the sharp cartridges) needing to be distinguished from conventional designs in nothing.
  • the maneuver cartridge magazine for the shortened maneuver cartridges is designed according to one of the above features.
  • This magazine according to the invention can readily be made for existing weapons, even by rebuilding existing, used magazines.
  • magazines according to the invention are only to be purchased instead of worn magazines. These can be prepared while largely using existing manufacturing means; Compared to a conventional magazine, the price is only insignificantly higher.
  • Figs. 1 to 4 show the same magazine, Fig. 5 and 6 only changed in detail magazines.
  • the maneuver cartridge magazine shown is a box magazine and has a front wall 1, a rear wall 3 and two side walls 5. In the figures, which show the entire magazine in longitudinal section, only the right side wall can be seen. The top of each side wall is formed into a magazine lip 7.
  • a magazine spring 11 is fixed to the bottom (no reference numeral) of the magazine and pushes a feeder 9 upwards.
  • the feeder 9 in turn pushes cartridges 35 - shortened maneuver cartridges 35 - upwards, both in single-row and double-row magazines.
  • the present embodiment shows a double-row magazine.
  • the cartridges 35 are thus arranged in two adjacent rows; the individual cartridges 35 of the two rows are offset from each other. Thus, a cartridge 35 of one and the other row is alternately pressed against the associated magazine lip 7.
  • a cartridge (such as the sharp cartridge 39 in Fig. 2), which for some reason can not get under a magazine lip 11 is not held in the magazine and falls out of the magazine again.
  • a slider 21 is provided, which rests against the inside of the front wall 1. Since the magazine with its underside is curved slightly forward, the front wall 1 but describes no arc, this slide must be a little flexible and is preferably made of flexible plastic (Fig. 1 to 5) or bending plate (Fig. 6).
  • the slider 21 has on both sides at its upper and lower end a guide lug 41 (see Fig. 4), which is guided behind guide projections 13 which project above and below in the inner surface of each side wall 5 and are formed, for example, as externally pressed-in beads , In the drawing, only the lower guide projection 13 of the right side wall 5 can be seen.
  • the upper end of the slider 21 forms a locking piece 29. If this is made of plastic, then in the back preferably a metal insert 31 is inserted.
  • the feeder 9 is dimensioned so that it is not hindered in its movement by the slider 21.
  • the feeder of a conventional, sharp magazine can optionally be shortened.
  • the slider 21 has a forwardly projecting nose 15, while with the recess 17, a detent spring 23 cooperates, which is centrally separated as a downwardly facing strip from the slide 21, but still attached to this at the top root (Fig. 4).
  • a forward projecting release projection 27 On the front of the detent spring 23 is integrally formed a forward projecting release projection 27. Below this, at the lower end of the pawl or detent spring 23, a latch projection 25 is formed.
  • the slider 21 is in its uppermost position, the detent spring 23 springs into the recess 17 in that the pawl projection 25 can be supported on the lower edge of the recess 17 and the trigger projection 27 protrudes through the recess 17 to the front.
  • a recess 43 is formed in the slide 21 (FIG. 4); in this a zigzag-shaped slider spring 37 is inserted.
  • the underside of the slider spring 37 is supported on a spring support 19 (FIG. 3) which is formed on the front wall 1.
  • the upper end of the slider spring 37 is supported on the upper boundary of the recess 43. The slider is thus pressed by the slider spring 37 always upwards.
  • the detent spring 23 presses the pawl projection 25 forward. If you try now, the slider 21 to press down, then the pawl projection 25 abuts against the lower boundary of the recess 17. The slider 21 can not be pressed down so. Only when the magazine in the magazine shaft 47 of the associated weapon (assault rifle 45) is pressed (Fig. 3), the front wall of the magazine shaft 47 constantly presses against the release projection 27. Thus, the detent spring 23 is bent inwardly, and thereby gives the pawl projection gives way 25 back, so that now the slider 21 can be moved down. If the slider 21 is released, then the slider spring 37 pushes the slider 21 back up, and the latch projection 25 falls back into the recess 17, unless the trigger projection 27 is pressed.
  • the nose 15 projects from the slider 21 forward, passes through the window 33 and projects from the magazine to the front.
  • the window 33 defines the path of movement of the slider 21 in cooperation with this nose 15.
  • Fig. 5 shows a magazine in which instead of the slider spring 37, a coil spring 49 is provided. This is between the nose 15 and the lower boundary of the window 33 is inserted.
  • the magazine variant of FIG. 6 corresponds in its graphic representation of FIG. 5, but without ammunition.
  • their slide 21 is made entirely of bending plate, such as spring band, rather than plastic. Therefore, the locking piece 29 of this slide 21 also requires no metal reinforcement.
  • this slider 21 is constructed of such a material and shaped so that it is functionally equivalent to the plastic slider 21 with metal insert 31, the figures 1-5. In principle, it would also be sufficient to produce only the locking piece 29 of bending plate and the rest of the slider 21 made of plastic and to connect these two parts 21 and 29 in a known manner.
