Abstract

In eine Teilungsperiode (P1) einer Inkrementalteilung (6) ist eine Referenzmarkierung (R) integriert. Mit einer Detektoranordnung (7.6) wird die Inkrementalteilung (6) abgetastet, wodurch mehrere Abtastsignale (A1 bis D8) gewonnen werden, die einer Auswerteeinheit (8) zugeführt werden. Die Auswerteeinheit (8) generiert aus den Abtastsignalen (A1 bis D8) eine absolute Position (Q) innerhalb einer Teilungsperiode (P1 bis P8) sowie eine weitere absolute Position (Z), welche den Ort der Referenzmarkierung (R) entlang der Detektoranordnung (7.6) absolut bestimmt (Figur 1).
