Definitions

  • the invention relates to a floor nozzle for vacuum cleaners a suction head having a plan with a broad side and a narrow side, and a biaxial joint which forms a suction channel and has a connection end for a suction pipe, wherein the hinge is pivotally mounted about a horizontal axis of rotation at the suction head and wherein the second axis of the joint is aligned perpendicular to the horizontal axis of rotation and intersects this.
  • a floor nozzle of the described construction is known from DE 100 17 705 C2.
  • the joint is designed as a universal joint and has a suction head connection element, which is inserted in a recess formed as a half-shell of the suction head.
  • the suction head connection element has a receiving space into which a channel portion is pivotally inserted.
  • the sealing of the mutually movable parts of the universal joint is difficult.
  • a further disadvantage is that the angle of rotation of the two, the universal joint forming channel sections is limited to about 60 °. This has the consequence that the connected intake manifold in both working positions not can be brought into a ground level position, which makes it difficult to drive under low furniture.
  • the invention has for its object to simplify a floor nozzle with the function described above constructively and form so that low pieces of furniture can be driven under.
  • the joint consists of a T-shaped piece of pipe and a rotatably connected to the pipe section pipe bend, with a connection end for the intake manifold, wherein the T-shaped pipe section is rotatably mounted between two pipe receptacles arranged on the suction head upper side and open to the suction head interior, wherein the angle of rotation of the T-shaped pipe section is limited in at least one direction of rotation of a stop and wherein the curvature of the pipe bend is set so that the terminal end is in a plane substantially parallel to the horizontal axis of rotation when the T-shaped pipe piece is supported on the rotation angle limiting stop.
  • the orientation of the suction head is steerable by a rotation of the suction pipe connected to the joint. With a Rotation of the suction tube by 90 °, a rotational movement of the resting on the floor suction head is also triggered by 90 °.
  • the suction head can be aligned so that the broad side of the suction head extends in the longitudinal direction of the suction pipe.
  • connection end is pivotable about the second axis of the joint in accordance with the reciprocating suction movements, without this adversely affecting the guidance of the suction head in the suction movements.
  • the suction head has an upper housing part and a bearing shell inserted into the upper housing part, wherein the tube receptacles are composed of a receptacle formed on the upper housing part and the bearing shell inserted in the upper housing part.
  • the bearing shell can in a window-shaped recess of the housing top, z. B. by a latching connection, be used and have a trough-shaped recess for the pipe bend.
  • a suction head 1 which has a floor plan with a broad side 2 and a narrow side 3, and a biaxial joint 4, which forms a suction channel and has a connection end for a suction pipe 5 indicated by dashed lines.
  • the joint 4 is pivotally mounted on the suction head 1 about a horizontal, in the longitudinal direction of the broad side extending, axis of rotation 6.
  • the second axis 7 of the joint 4 is aligned perpendicular to the horizontal axis of rotation 6 and cuts them.
  • the suction head 1 can be brought into the two functional positions shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
  • the floor nozzle In the functional position shown in Fig. 1, in which the broad side 2 of the suction head 1 extends transversely to the suction tube 5, the floor nozzle is suitable for sucking large Floor surfaces.
  • the width side 2 of the suction head 1 In the functional position shown in Fig. 2, the width side 2 of the suction head 1 extends longitudinally to the suction pipe 5. In this functional position, the floor nozzle for sucking narrow niches can be used.
  • the joint 4 consists of a T-shaped pipe section 8 and a pipe bend 9 connected to the pipe section 8 with a connection end for the suction pipe 5.
  • the T-shaped pipe section 8 is rotatably mounted between pipe receptacles 10 which are arranged on the suction head upper side and open towards the suction head, wherein the angle of rotation of the T-shaped pipe section 8 is limited in at least one direction of rotation of a stop 11.
  • Fig. 2 takes it that the curvature of the elbow 9 is set so that the terminal end is in a substantially parallel plane to the horizontal axis of rotation 6 when the T-shaped pipe section 8 is supported on the rotational angle limiting stop 11.
  • the suction head 1 has an upper housing part 12 and a bearing shell 13 inserted into the upper housing part 12.
  • the tube receptacles 10 are composed of a molded-on to the housing upper part 12 receptacle 14 and the bearing shell 13 inserted into the upper housing part 12.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 If one assumes that the bearing shell 13 is inserted into a window-shaped recess 15 of the housing upper part 12 and has a trough-shaped recess 16 for the pipe bend 9.
  • the angle of rotation of the elbow 9 is limited in both directions of rotation by stops 17 on the T-shaped piece of pipe 8.
  • the angle of rotation of the T-shaped pipe section 8 and the pipe elbow 9 is preferably about 90 °.
  • the pipe bend 9 may have a curvature between about 70 and 100 °, with a 90 ° pipe bend being preferred.
  • the horizontal axis of rotation 6 is arranged offset from the axis of symmetry 18 of the suction head 1, in such a way that the introduction of force in both working positions does not leave the contact area of the suction head 1 and thereby tilting moments are avoided.
