Description

The invention relates to a mascara brush according to the preamble of claim 1, a manufacturing method for a mascara brush according to the preamble of claim 13 and the use of a mascara storage container.

Generic mascara brushes are known from DE 198 47 733 A1. When using such mascara brush often results in the problem that too much mascara is applied to the eyelashes, since the mascara brushes are too loaded with mascara. Furthermore, such mascara brushes often have an unsatisfactory combing function. In particular, in the case of upper eyelashes which are straight downwards in the direction of the lower eyelid, the known mascara brushes also have an unsatisfactory bending function for the eyelashes, that is to say an insufficient curl effect. This problem is especially noticeable in women of Asian descent.

From US 5,611,361 A a brush with two souls is known. It is the object of the present invention to develop a generic mascara brush in such a way that it is easier for the user to specify the mascara transfer amount to the eyelashes, in particular not unwanted to apply too much mascara. In addition, the combing result and the curl effect should also be improved.

The object is achieved by a mascara brush with the features specified in claim 1.

According to the invention, it has been recognized that in the case of a mascara brush with at least two souls, a better distribution of the mascara picked up by the mascara brush takes place. Therefore, the Mascaramenge can be better specified when applied to the eyelashes. Two curved souls, when used in parallel, also improve the combing effect during the make-up process. However, even when using a mascara brush, in which according to claim 12 at least one of the souls is straight, but also an improvement of the application behavior and the distribution of the mascara can result. In particular, when using a mascara brush with two souls results due to the non-rotationally symmetrical cross-sectional geometry of the bristle portion of this mascara brush the opportunity to achieve a correspondingly asymmetric loading of the mascara brush with mascara. The convex top of the bent souls is less loaded in this case and can therefore be used for make-up correction, in particular for removing excess mascara. If the two souls are used in parallel when applied, results in a comparatively strong mascara order. With the concave undersides of the two souls, an improved curl effect can be achieved.

A mascara brush according to claim 2 is easy to produce.

A mascara brush 1 is made as follows:

First, a raw brush with straight cores 2, 3 is produced. Figures 5 and 6 show a mascara reservoir 14 for use with the mascara brush 1. The scale of Figures 5 and 6 does not correspond to that of Figures 1 to 4. The mascara reservoir 14 has an elongate, substantially cylindrical basic shape with a frontally molded threaded portion 15, on which a cap, not shown, can be screwed. The inner diameter of the threaded portion 15 is 2.8 mm. In other variants of the mascara reservoir, which are not shown, the diameter of the threaded portion can be between 1.8 and 5 mm. In the threaded portion 15 is inserted a scraper sleeve 16 which is connected in a known manner with the threaded portion 15. The scraper sleeve 16 is preferably made of elastic material or soft plastic such. B. LDPE. Claims (14)

1. A mascara brush comprising a plurality of bristles held between two intertwisted wire sections forming a core, wherein two cores are provided, characterized in that the two cores (2, 3) are curved extending from a common handle section (5), wherein the handle section (5) is a part of the cores (2, 3) which does not show any bristles (4).
2. A mascara brush according to claim 1, characterized in that said cores (2, 3) have essentially the same bending radius.
3. A mascara brush according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that transition sections (6, 7) of said cores (2, 3) adjacent to said handle section (5) have different transition angles relative to said handle section (5).
4. A mascara brush according to any of claims 1 through 3, characterized in that said handle section (5) is formed of bristle-free intertwisted wire sections being extensions of said cores (2, 3).
5. A mascara brush according to claim 1, characterized in that said bristle-free sections of said cores (2, 3) in the handle section (5) are positioned in parallel and are connected with each other.
6. A mascara brush according to claim 1, characterized in that tangents (T₂, T₃) of said cores (2, 3) intersecting in a starting point (E) form an angle β which is larger than 0°.
7. A mascara brush according to claim 1, characterized in that a bristle contour (8, 9) of said cores (2, 3) has one of the following shapes:

   - cylindrical,

   - barrel-shaped,

   - shape of truncated cone tapering on one or both sides,

   - shape of truncated cone,

   - centrally waisted

   - centrally waisted with a truncated cone tapering on both sides.
8. A mascara brush according to claim 1, characterized in that a bristle contour (8,9) of said cores (2, 3) has one of the following cross-sectional shapes:

   - round,

   - elliptical,

   - triangular, especially with rounded corners,

   - rectangular, especially square-shaped, especially with rounded corners.
9. A mascara brush according to claim 1, characterized in that said bristles (4) are made of plastic fibers or natural fibers.

    - taking said cores (2, 3) out of said bending tool.
14. The use of a mascara reservoir (14) comprising a circular mascara wiping aperture (17), through which said mascara brush (1) is insertable into said mascara reservoir (14), for a mascara brush (1) according to any of claims 1 through 7.
