Definitions

  • the invention relates to a mascara brush according to the preamble of claim 1, a manufacturing method for a mascara brush according to the preamble of claim 13 and the use of a mascara storage container.
  • the convex top of the bent souls is less loaded in this case and can therefore be used for make-up correction, in particular for removing excess mascara. If the two souls are used in parallel when applied, results in a comparatively strong mascara order. With the concave undersides of the two souls, an improved curl effect can be achieved.
  • a mascara brush according to claim 2 is easy to produce.
  • a handle portion according to claim 4 can be easily manufactured.
  • bent souls have been found to be particularly favorable in terms of mascara application.
  • Stem section diameter according to claim 11 offer a good compromise between stability and handling.
  • Another object of the invention is to provide a manufacturing method for a mascara brush with at least two bent cores.
  • the cores can be bent together, resulting in a reduction in the number of steps required for the production.
  • a mascara brush provided overall with the reference numeral 1 in FIG. 1 has two cores 2, 3 with a typical diameter between 0.6 mm and 2.0 mm, each having a plurality of bristles 4 for applying mascara to eyelashes ,
  • the souls 2, 3 each comprise two wire sections twisted together, between which the bristles 4 are held in a known manner. These twisted wire sections, which have a wire thickness of 0.4 mm to 1.0 mm, are not shown separately in the drawing.
  • the bristles 4 have along the souls 2, 3 mainly the same length. Typical bristle lengths are in the range between 2.5 mm and 8 mm.
  • the bristles 4 are plastic fiber bristles, but may alternatively be natural fiber bristles. Also between the souls 2, 3 there is no difference in the bristle length. In a variant of the mascara brush, not shown, it is also possible to provide different bristle lengths along the cores and / or souls with bristles of different lengths.
  • the two souls 2, 3 are, as indicated in FIGS. 1 and 2, in turn twisted together in a non-bristles handle portion 5. This is continued in Fig. 1 to the right and forms a handle, not shown, for the mascara brush 1.
  • the handle portion 5 is centrally connected to a handle portion, not shown in the drawing.
  • this compound can also be done off-center of the handle portion 5.
  • the stem section has a diameter of 2.8 mm.
  • the stem portion may have a diameter between 1.8 mm and 5.0 mm.
  • the souls are bent with a bending radius of about 30 mm about mutually parallel and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the handle portion 5 axes such that the two souls 2, 3 sound like the horns of an ibex.
  • Bristle envelope ends 8, 9 of the bristles 4 of the cores 2, 3 have concave sides 10 and convex sides 11 due to this bending.
  • the bending around mutually parallel axes requires that the bristle envelopes 8, 9 in the side view of FIG. 2 are aligned with viewing direction perpendicular to the bending axes and at the same time perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the handle portion 5 with each other.
  • the bristle envelopes in the extended state of the soul may have the following alternative forms: cylindrical, barrel-shaped, tapered on one or both sides in the form of a truncated cone, frusto-conical, in the middle cambered, centered with one or both sides frustoconical rejuvenation.
  • the mascara brush 1 of FIGS. 1 to 4 has bristle envelope 8, 9 with a round cross-section.
  • the cross section of the bristle envelope may have the following shapes: elliptical, triangular, in particular with rounded corners, rectangular, in particular square, in particular with rounded corners.
  • the cores 2, 3 typically have the same length.
  • the transition angle a of the transition section 6 to the handle portion 5 is typically between 10 and 20 °.
  • the transition angle between the transition section 7 and the handle portion 5 is 0 °.
  • a starting point E can be defined, at which an area of the handle portion 5 ends, within which the two souls 2, 3 are twisted together. From the starting point E in Fig. 1 to the left, the two souls 2, 3 begin to separate from each other. From the starting point E, two tangents T 2 , T 3 can be applied to the curved center axes of the souls 2, 3.
  • the angle ⁇ between these tangents T 2 , T 3 is approximately 10 ° in the embodiment of FIG. In other embodiments of the mascara brush, which are not shown, the angle ⁇ may also have other values, e.g. B. 20 ° or 0 °, take.
  • both souls 2, 3 are bent.
  • at least one of the two souls can also be executed.
  • a mascara brush 1 is made as follows:
  • a raw brush with straight cores 2, 3 is produced.
  • individual straight souls are initially produced by twisting two wire sections, between which the bristles 4 are held, in a known manner.
  • the two straight souls in the handle portion 5 are preferably twisted together. This is done so that the transition angles described between the transition sections 6, 7 and the longitudinal axis of the handle portion 5 result.
  • the two straight souls 2, 3 have in this manufacturing stage, together with the handle portion 5 is preferably in the form of a letter Y.
  • a convex bending punch 12 and a concave counter punch 13 are shown schematically in Fig. 1 in fragmentary form.
  • the bending radii of the punch 12 and the counter punch 13 are in the range of 10 mm.
  • the bending radius of the convex bending punch 12 is slightly smaller than that of the counter punch 13.
  • the punch 12 and the counter punch 13 are towards each other and then moved apart again, whereby the previously straight souls 2, 3 are bent and take their shape shown in Fig. 1 ,
  • the cores 2, 3 can be introduced by turning the raw brush about the longitudinal axis of the handle portion 5 so that in the bending tool that the alignment of FIG. 2 arrangement of straight sides of the bristle envelope 8, 9 results, or z. B. also so that, as not shown in the drawing, the concave sides 10 and the convex sides 11 of the bristle envelopes 8, 9 are aligned with each other.
  • a mascara brush according to this second variant would, in a side view corresponding to FIG. 1, look in the direction parallel to the bending axes of the cores 2, 3, like the single core 2 shown in FIG. 3.
  • such a mascara brush would preferably have the shape of a letter Y with straight in this view souls 2, 3.
  • the two souls are arranged so that they run parallel to one another in the last-mentioned view with a substantially constant distance.
  • the bristle-free portions of the cores 2, 3 are mounted and connected in parallel to the handle portion 5.
  • Figures 5 and 6 show a mascara reservoir 14 for use with the mascara brush 1.
  • the scale of Figures 5 and 6 does not correspond to that of Figures 1 to 4.
  • the mascara reservoir 14 has an elongate, substantially cylindrical basic shape with a frontally molded threaded portion 15, on which a cap, not shown, can be screwed.
  • the inner diameter of the threaded portion 15 is 2.8 mm. In other variants of the mascara reservoir, which are not shown, the diameter of the threaded portion can be between 1.8 and 5 mm.
  • a scraper sleeve 16 which is connected in a known manner with the threaded portion 15.
  • the scraper sleeve 16 is preferably made of elastic material or soft plastic such. B. LDPE.
  • the diameter of the mascara stripping opening 17 is 2.6 mm. This diameter can be between 1.8 and 5.0 mm in the other variants of the mascara reservoir.
  • the cross-section of the wiper sleeve 16 and the mascara wiping opening 17 is adapted accordingly to the respective cross-section of the bristle envelope.
