Abstract

The shuttering assembly consists of a thin shell (2) of a rigid sheet material made from a single folded panel of appropriate size for the concrete component to be cast, and an outer rigid frame (4) to receive the shell, attached to the panel by fastenings which hold the frame at a distance from the shell ends. The fastenings are e.g. in the form of lugs on the inside of the frame engaging with slots in the panel, and the frame members are of T- or L-shaped cross-section with flat sides against the panel, which can be made from cardboard with an impermeable coating or a synthetic material.
