Definitions
- the invention relates to a surface-mounted luminaire according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a surface-mounted luminaire is shown in Fig.2 of DE 2 99 08 139 U1 in the form of a photoconductive, especially on their edges radiating plate known; the corresponding product is marketed under the trade name "Golden Eye”.
- the light plate undergoes its irradiation from a, in a through hole in the plate recessed, halogen lamp spotlight housing whose side wall is at least partially transparent.
- the light plate is mounted in front of a mounting surface, approximately in the form of the bottom plate of a wall unit of the kitchen unit above a worktop, cantilevered by means of an attacking on one side of the glass edge L-shaped bracket.
- An actual luminaire surrounding housing therefore does not have this surface-mounted luminaire.
- Enclosed mounted luminaires are about as the WIPO triangle lights on the market. Such is intended to be screwed directly under the mounting surface by means of their Umgeophuses to illuminate from below the inserted in her surrounding housing halogen lamp spotlight out the underlying worktop.
- a surface-mounted luminaire can also be mounted in front of a vertical wall, for example to illuminate the steps of a staircase; in which case, for example, reduces the light output for glare protection or the emission direction of the normal to the surrounding housing, is pivoted.
- Other such surface-mounted lights consist of an elongated, usually also folded from sheet metal, closed box-shaped enclosure, in which about a row of several, directed against the underlying worktop, halogen lamp spotlights is used.
- This offset must also be in a very specific minimum ratio to the wing span. It allows light entry from the tube lamp through a diffuser plate into a narrow triangular light chamber behind the curved diffuser, from which then the radiation through the latter takes place parallel to the radiation through the aperture grid. However, since this radiation is not considered sufficient, behind the glare grid, namely behind each of the two-sided light chambers each arranged a further tube lamp which radiates through the adjacent reflector into its light chamber.
- the present invention is based on the technical problem to achieve a less glaring lighting impression at a reasonably priced and yet varied in their appearance versatile modification light generic type and thereby make the illumination visually pleasing and lighting technically even better.
- the surface-mounted luminaire is designed according to the features of the main claim, after which the pot-shaped radiator housing is equipped with a translucent wall, through which radiates the actually radiating in the axial direction of the radiator housing lamp also transversely thereto; namely, through the housing wall into the laterally adjoining cavity, which is bounded at the rear by the mounting surface and, moreover, by the surrounding housing made of light-transmitting material.
- This plastic material is preferably not transparent, but only opaque translucent set and equipped in the interest of a diffuse light emission with roughened or correspondingly light-scattering coated surface.
- the peripheral housing of the radiator housing now no longer acts as a mere, visually rather disturbing structural element for receiving the radiator housing, but as a pleasing light object.
- This effect is further promoted by the fact that light is radiated laterally through the radiator housing into the light-conducting material of the surrounding housing, which is then radiated over a large area thereof from the roughened or roughened surface of the surrounding housing in the vicinity of the radiator housing.
- FIGURE of the drawing shows in the axial cross-section of a light-transmitting radiator housing in a light-conducting, in this case flat hollow truncated cone-shaped housing under a mounting surface.
- the underfloor 11, for example, of the upper cabinet of a kitchen unit supplies the mounting surface 12 for a surface-mounted luminaire 13.
- the latter has a radiator housing 17 in a surrounding housing 14 which radiates useful light 15 from a bright lamp 16 axially and thus transversely to the mounting surface 12.
- This is in particular a halogen lamp, but possibly also about a compact fluorescent lamp in front of a plane reflector disk 32 on the housing bottom of the radiator housing 17.
- the diameter of the commercially cup-shaped radiator housing 17 corresponds to the smaller top surface of a Umgeophuses 14 in the form of a flat, obtuse hollow truncated cone whose peripheral wall 18 extends axially from this plane to the mounting surface 12 and so spans there the large base of the truncated cone.
- a kaft- or positive fit on the Nutzlicht-radiation opening 19 of the radiator housing 17 attachable ring 20 is provided as a contact protection in front of the lamp 16 with a disc 21 and serves as the edge of the Einsengro réelle 22 in the wall 18 circumferentially radially overlapping laminating collar.
- the emitter housing 17 may be retained in the housing housing 14 in a force-locking or form-fitting manner directly in the recessed opening 22.
- the radiator housing 17 are integrally formed on the wall 18 behind its Einsenkö réelle 22 parallel to the axis Mounts 23, as sketched in the form of a closed hollow cylinder or only in the form of individual axially parallel tongues (not shown).
- radially acting spring elements may be injection-molded, but when using the standard form of Halogenstrahlergekorusen 17 which are already integrated in the hollow cylindrical housing wall.
- the holder 23 in the surrounding housing 14 for receiving the radiator housing 17 may be designed as cup-shaped with a closed bottom 24 in order to realize the mounting surface 12 against thermal protection and through this floor 24 through the surface mounted light 13, for example by means of screws 25 in front of the mounting surface 12th to fix.
- the free end edge 26 of the surrounding housing 14 its Einsenkö réelle 22 axially opposite, flush against the mounting surface 12 and thereby limits the cavity 27 behind the wall 18 of the Umgeophuses 14.
- the axial height of the Umgeophuses 14 is expediently something larger than the axial length of the bracket 23; on the one hand a round all-round investment of the Umgeophuses 14 against the mounting surface 12 and on the other hand in the center of the Umgephases 14 an additional thermal decoupling is given if necessary by non-metallic spacer 28 in the form of washers on the screws 25 is still promoted.
- the lamp 16 in addition to its dominated by the mirror plate 32 axial main emission of useful light 15, in the transverse direction with respect to the housing axis 30, an irradiation 29 in the photoconductive material of the wall 18 of the UmgePSuses 14. From this photoconductive wall 18 is due to their surface design, the central Irradiation 29 coupled out over a large area again, in order to allow the entire, the actual spotlight housing 17 enclosing, surrounding housing 14 of its geometric shape in accordance with scattered light 31, which visibly detracts visually from the otherwise dominant, bright central radiation aperture 19.
- the lamp 16 additionally radiates through the translucent wall of the radiator housing 17 into the light-conducting wall 18 of the surrounding housing 14 and / or into the cavity 27 behind this wall 18, wherein the brightness effect of the scattered light 31 varies in accordance with the geometric shape of the surrounding housing 14.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a surface-mounted luminaire according to the preamble of claim 1.
Enclosed mounted luminaires are about as the WIPO triangle lights on the market. Such is intended to be screwed directly under the mounting surface by means of their Umgehäuses to illuminate from below the inserted in her surrounding housing halogen lamp spotlight out the underlying worktop. In principle, however, such a surface-mounted luminaire can also be mounted in front of a vertical wall, for example to illuminate the steps of a staircase; in which case, for example, reduces the light output for glare protection or the emission direction of the normal to the surrounding housing, is pivoted. Other such surface-mounted lights consist of an elongated, usually also folded from sheet metal, closed box-shaped enclosure, in which about a row of several, directed against the underlying worktop, halogen lamp spotlights is used.
In the case of the above-mentioned surface-mounted luminaires, there is an unpleasant brightness contrast between, on the one hand, the spatially sharply defined glittering intensity of the focused radiation from the housing opening of the halogen radiator housing and, on the other hand, the surrounding housing into which this radiator housing is sunk.
In recognition of these circumstances, the present invention is based on the technical problem to achieve a less glaring lighting impression at a reasonably priced and yet varied in their appearance versatile modification light generic type and thereby make the illumination visually pleasing and lighting technically even better.
This object is achieved in that the surface-mounted luminaire is designed according to the features of the main claim, after which the pot-shaped radiator housing is equipped with a translucent wall, through which radiates the actually radiating in the axial direction of the radiator housing lamp also transversely thereto; namely, through the housing wall into the laterally adjoining cavity, which is bounded at the rear by the mounting surface and, moreover, by the surrounding housing made of light-transmitting material. This plastic material is preferably not transparent, but only opaque translucent set and equipped in the interest of a diffuse light emission with roughened or correspondingly light-scattering coated surface. This results in the installation environment of the spotlight housing to a less intense additional, geometrically configured in accordance with the Umgehäuses light emission and thereby to a pleasant brightness gradation of the bright light cone of Nutzlichts from the spotlight housing to the dark environment of the mounting surface, with muted illumination of the environment of the bright Nutzlichtzone the worktop below it.
Thus, the peripheral housing of the radiator housing now no longer acts as a mere, visually rather disturbing structural element for receiving the radiator housing, but as a pleasing light object. This effect is further promoted by the fact that light is radiated laterally through the radiator housing into the light-conducting material of the surrounding housing, which is then radiated over a large area thereof from the roughened or roughened surface of the surrounding housing in the vicinity of the radiator housing.
In any case, conveniently compliant geometric shapes are considered regardless of the installation requirements for the radiator housing for the now radiant enclosure. Such forms are apart from the right angles to the mounting plate limited box training, especially forms that leak from the plane of installation height of the radiator housing to the mounting surface, such as an obtuse Hollow truncated cone, a plate profile or a hollow spherical cap with inserted into their pole area radiator housing, but also about a triangular in plan view or rectangular wedge.
With regard to additional alternatives and further developments as well as their advantages, reference is made to the following description of a preferred implementation example sketched in the drawing but approximately to scale, with the exception of the further claims. The single FIGURE of the drawing shows in the axial cross-section of a light-transmitting radiator housing in a light-conducting, in this case flat hollow truncated cone-shaped housing under a mounting surface.
In the example of implementation sketched, the
In sketched example trap, the diameter of the commercially cup-
The
The
In this mounting of the surface-mounted
At least the hollow cylindrical circumferential side wall of the recessed into the surrounding
This effect of shifting the visual impression from the center to the surrounding
If, contrary to the simplified representation in the drawing, no surrounding
A surface-mounted
