Definitions
- the invention relates to a contact terminal for connecting a multi-core electrical cable, especially a shape-coded Profile cable with a connection box, an interface or the like. According to the preamble of claim 1.
- connection box interface
- piercing contact terminal with a preferably coded flat cable to connect.
- Base plate of the connection box attached to the desired installation location, the profile cable in the correct position Inserted the base plate, then the electrical Connection by attaching a cover with piercing contacts manufacture.
- the piercing contacts penetrate through the insulation of the profile cable and any existing round insulation the electrical cable into the cable core and make the electrical contact.
- connection box If the cable is not in the correct position in the area of the connection box, the installer is forced to lay an additional one Loop to establish the correct connection position. These wire loops take up installation space, are material-intensive and make later troubleshooting more difficult. Beyond that when changing the connection box, opening the piercing contact necessary so that the profile cable remains injured.
- the invention has for its object a contact terminal to connect a cable to a junction box, are avoided by the installation loops.
- the object is invented according to the characteristic Feature of claim 1 solved.
- the invention is based on two basic ideas.
- the contact terminal had to be inserted as a plug-in module be trained in a junction box.
- a second Step was to design the connector so that too with one lying rotated by 180 ° in the plane of the flat cable Cable a correct connection is guaranteed.
- This is achieved in that either a connection contact or a connection contact or both of two together is electrically connected contact elements, wherein the one contact element on one side of a to the cable longitudinal direction approximately parallel longitudinal central axis of the lower part of the terminal lies and the other contact element on the other Side of the longitudinal central axis of the lower part of the terminal.
- the distance between the two contact elements of the connection contact or the contact to the longitudinal center axis must be be about the same.
- connection contacts The number of connection contacts and the number is preferred the connection contacts the same, creating a mechanical firm and thus secure plug connection is achieved.
- connection contacts and the connection contacts are approximately symmetrical to the longitudinal central axis, preferably a connection contact and a connection contact as a central contact on the longitudinal central axis in the center of the lower part of the clamp are arranged.
- the central contact is independent of the rotational position of the contact terminal always in the central opposite Contact one so that only the one with distance to the longitudinal center axis contacts from two contact elements are to be built, each on one side of the longitudinal central axis lie.
- connection contacts and the connection contacts are preferred formed as an interlocking connector, wherein the plug connection to achieve a protection class of larger than IP65 is provided with a seal.
- the connector is approximately point-symmetrical educated.
- the contact pins lie within a frame-shaped Seal facing with a sealing lip Flat side of the cable to be contacted is present.
