Abstract

L'invention concerne une longueur de bande (10) comportant une pluralité de poches (12) ménagées tout au long de ladite bande. Dans chaque poche (12), se trouve une pointe de lame de scie (18), chaque pointe de lame de scie (18) étant accompagnée d'un support en carbure (20) sur lequel est collée une couche de diamant polycristallin (22). Chaque pointe (18) est correctement orientée dans chaque poche (12), un tranchant (24) étant généralement situé sur l'extrémité avant (28) de la poche (12), orienté vers l'intérieur et le bas de la poche (12). Lorsqu'il faut braser les pointes (18) sur une lame de scie, la bande (10) est déplacée d'une poche vers l'avant. Simultanément, une bande de couverture (30) est retirée de la poche (12) de façon à laisser à découvert une pointe de lame de scie correctement orientée (18), laquelle est prête à être immédiatement brasée. Une fois que la pointe (18) a été positionnée par brasage, une autre poche (12) est déplacée vers l'avant et le processus est répété.
