Definitions
- the present invention relates to a degreasing device and drying of mechanical parts or flammable solvents.
- the CH-A-692 084 proposes the use of a solvent for flammable solvents to replace chlorinated solvents for degreasing-washing in the mechanical industry.
- DE-A-43 29 178 offers the use of isoparaffinic solvents or modified alcohol.
- the solvent according to this patent is of the isoparaffin or alkane type whose flash point is between 40 ° C and 100 ° C.
- Metal parts are immersed in the solvent which is in an enclosure waterproof.
- the pressure in the enclosure is less than 120 mbar and the temperature above 60 ° C inside the enclosure.
- Legislation (OPAIR) requires machines using waterproof chlorinated solvents.
- the mixture of chlorinated solvent and of water in a washing cycle is prohibited by law (OPEL).
- Cleaning parts with non-polar soiling (mineral oils for example) and polar (particles, oxides, salts) cannot be resolved satisfactorily or with chlorinated or isoparaffinic solvents, or with detergents, their effectiveness being quickly inhibited by oils.
- the object of the present invention is to propose a device for degreasing and drying of parts which improves the qualities of the degreasing system.
- the device uses in a first phase washing a mixture of isoparaffin solvents at a temperature higher than the flash point, under vacuum or at temperature minus 15 ° C below the flash point, when the installation does not not work in vacuum.
- a second phase the device uses an aqueous solution heated above 45 ° C, consisting deionized water, said washing being followed by a rinsing carried out deionized water and then drying carried out under vacuum.
- a single-tank installation is used to immerse the parts to be cleaned in different solvents and rinsing agents.
- the entire hydrocarbon solvent circuit is under vacuum about 120 mbar, to ensure the safety of the installation when the solvent is heated above the flash point.
- the device presented here represents a development of the patent No 692084. Said patent uses only isoparaffin solvent.
- the device described here first uses a solvent of the type isoparaffin, under vacuum, above the flash point and secondly an aqueous solution of composition suitable for metals to treat.
- the aqueous solution is made with deionized water and contains less than 1% detergents, so reduce entrainment in the flushing circuit.
- Rinsing is carried out in the enclosure in deionized water.
- Drying is carried out in the enclosure, under vacuum.
- the flash point is the temperature the lowest vapor concentration sufficient to produce a deflagration on contact of a flame but insufficient to produce the propagation of combustion in the absence of the pilot flame.
- the main advantage is to perform high cleaning quality, because the isoparaffinic solvent removes dirt non-polar (fat in particular), while the solution aqueous removes polar soils (inorganic matter and particles).
- the aqueous solution is practically not polluted by organic soils, since these were dissolved during the first wash. Soiling inorganics are practically not eliminated by solvents isoparaffins. They are however easily dissolved by a aqueous solution.
- the cleaning sequence is therefore an element paramount.
- a device having reservoirs allowing the use of one or more different aqueous solutions and a production facility deionized water in a closed circuit.
- Final drying can optionally be carried out by a vapor phase with isoparaffin solvent followed by drying under vacuum, which protects the parts against corrosion.
- the figure shows schematically a degreasing device and drying of metallic, ceramic or polymer parts.
- the figure shows a reservoir 1 of primary isoparaffinic solvents, a reservoir 2 of secondary isoparaffinic solvents, a working chamber 3 of the single-tank installation, a distiller 4 of isoparaffinic solvents, a device 5 for producing deionized water in a closed circuit, tanks 6 of detergent solvents and a distillation resentant 7.
- the solvent in tank 1 and the distillate in tank 2 is a mixture of isoparaffin solvents C g to C 11 .
- the device is equipped with a vacuum system, which makes it possible to maintain a pressure below 12o mbar and to use the isoparaffin solvent above the flash point and to dry the parts under vacuum, after a first or a second washing. It is possible to add an isoparaffinic solvent vapor phase and vacuum drying after washing with detergent, to protect the parts against corrosion.
- a mixture of isoparaffin solvents C 9 to C 11 is used at a temperature above the flash point under vacuum or at a temperature of at least 15 ° C below the flash point, when the installation does not work under vacuum.
- the device uses an aqueous solution heated above 45 ° C. This aqueous solution consists of deionized water and a composition suitable for the parts to be cleaned. Washing is followed by rinsing with deionized water and then drying carried out under vacuum.
