Definitions
- the invention relates to a suction roll with a rotatable, perforated Roll shell, the interior of which at least in a vacuum zone with a Vacuum source is connected, the vacuum zone at least axially from each a sealing element is limited.
- Suction rolls are used in machines for the production and / or finishing of paper, Cardboard, tissue, or other fibrous webs in general that Fibrous web in the area of the vacuum zone on, the suction roller partially looping, endlessly circulating and air-permeable tape. There a lot of false air is sucked in through the perforation of the roller shell. In addition, the air flowing through the perforation leads to a relatively large one Noise.
- the vacuum zone is generally wider than the fibrous web. This justifies ensuring the safe suction and thus sticking of the edges the fibrous web on the belt.
- the object of the invention is therefore the air flow through the perforation at least in the area of the suction roll lying axially outside the fibrous web and thus also to reduce noise.
- the object was achieved in that the relationship between the openwork and the non-openwork surface of the roll shell at least in one, preferably in both edge areas of the roll shell is lower than in the middle of the roller.
- the marginal areas with less perforation are predominantly, preferably entirely outside the fibrous web.
- the perforated edge area still offers as the fibrous web becomes wider enough suction area to ensure the adhesion of the web edges.
- the sealing elements reduce the negative air axially, the vacuum zone approximately limit to the width of the fibrous web, this should adapt to itself changing widths can also be designed axially displaceable.
- the relationship between the openwork and the non-openwork surface of the roll shell at least in the area of one, preferably both, sealing elements less than in the Middle of the roller.
- the roll shell in the edge area and / or in the area of Sealing element have fewer holes and / or the holes in Edge area of the roll shell and / or in the area of the sealing element have a smaller diameter.
- the problem can also be solved in marginal areas by that the axial sealing element is designed as a sealing strip and only one, preferably axially outer part of the radial surface of the sealing strip with the Roll jacket forms a sealing surface. This replaces the abrupt with a relative gradual transition between the vacuum zone and the axially outside lying area.
- the sealing strips can be set relatively close to what the fibrous web the amount of false air sucked in and the noise level are greatly reduced.
- the axial inside of the sealing strip approximately with the edge of the Fibrous web matches. Should the fibrous web become wider or move laterally, so it only gradually axially outwards reducing negative pressure a secure adhesion of the fibrous web, especially its Edges on the band.
- the gradual transition with regard to the negative pressure in the area of the sealing strip can be achieved in that the radial surface of the sealing strip with the Roll shell a preferably wedge-shaped opening towards the middle of the roll Gap forms and / or that the radial surface of the sealing strip extends axially Has grooves, the cross section of which preferably increases towards the center of the roll.
- sealing strip consists of several separate ones Last elements. This allows in particular constructions in which at least one sealing strip element with the roller shell has a sealing surface forms and at least one independent sound-reducing strip element the roll shell has a gap opening towards the center of the roll and / or radially has running grooves.
- the sealing surface regardless of the sound development and thus optimized with regard to the sealing function and on the other hand it will sound-reducing strip element not due to wear in the area Function of the sealing surface is impaired.
- at least one, preferably the sound-reducing strip element with the housing of the Vacuum zone can be connected.
- at least one, preferably the sealing strip element against the Roll jacket be designed to be pressable.
- the sealing element is preferably radially adjustable, especially rotatable or pivotable. In these Cases can occur when the radial surface of the sealing element wears parts that are not worn are brought into the area of the vacuum zone.
- the suction roll is advantageously used in machines for manufacturing and / or Refining a paper, cardboard, tissue or other fibrous web, whereby the fibrous web in the region of the vacuum zone preferably to a Suction roller partially looping, endless rotating and air permeable Tape is sucked.
- Belts generally include forming screens, press felts, Dryer fabrics or similar in question.
- the fibrous web is direct comes into contact with the suction roller.
- All suction rolls shown have a rotatable and perforated roll shell 1 whose interior in a limited vacuum zone 2 with a Vacuum source is connected.
- the perforation is from holes 4 in Roll shell 1 formed.
- Such suction rolls are used in particular in machines for the production of Fibrous webs 6 and there in particular in the area of sheet formation Press section for dewatering and the drying section for drying the Fibrous web 6 from an endlessly circulating and air-permeable belt 5 partially entwined.
- the negative pressure originating from the negative pressure zone 2 increases the adhesion of the outer fibrous web 6 to the belt 5 and thus supports their acceptance from another element.
- the vacuum zone 2 must cover and is at least the fibrous web 6 therefore a little wider than this.
- the outside of the fibrous web 6 to limit false air flowing through the bores 4 into the vacuum zone 2 the vacuum zone 2 is axially delimited by a fixed sealing strip 3. in the in general, the vacuum zone 2 is also limited to that of the belt 5 and the fibrous web 6 wrapped circumferential portion of the roll shell 1.
- the sealing strips 3 are to adapt to different web widths and positions the fibrous web 6 designed radially. This allows, as in Figure 1 see the axially inner side of the sealing strip 3 to the area of the edge to adjust the fibrous web 6. In order to do so in the event of fluctuations in the Width of the fibrous web 6 and / or its location adhering to the edges of the Ensuring fibrous web 6 on belt 5 comes according to FIGS. 1 and 2 a sealing strip 3 for use, the flow through the holes 4 of the Roll shell 1 is increasingly hampered in its area axially outwards and finally excludes. This has the consequence that also in the area of disabled Flow still has a suction effect and thus a liability of the Fibrous web 6 on the belt 5 can be effected. The result is one considerable reduction in the holes 4 outside the fibrous web 6 in the negative pressure zone 2 flowing false air and thus to one Reduction of noise.
- the band 5 extends over the vacuum zone 2 and the axial Sealing strip 3 also, while the edge of the fibrous web 6 here, for example, even is in the area of restricted flow. Nevertheless, the liability is sufficient Fibrous web 6 given on belt 5.
- the edge of the fibrous web is normally 6 offset with respect to the sealing strip 3 to the center of the roll.
- the flow in the area of the sealing strip 3 is obstructed by that only an axially outer part of the radial surface of the sealing strip 3 with the roller jacket 1 forms a sealing surface 10.
- This can be done in different ways become.
- the radial surface of the sealing strip 3 forms with the Roller jacket 1 has a wedge-shaped gap 8 opening towards the center of the roller. According to FIG. 2, this can also be done alone or in combination with the gap 8 take place that the radial surface of the sealing strip 3 axially extending grooves 9 possesses, the cross section of which widens towards the center of the roll.
- the sealing strip 3 consists of a seal against the roll shell 1 pressable strip element 3 'and one of them independent, with the housing of the Vacuum zone 2 connected and sound-reducing strip element 3 ".
- FIG. 3 shows the part of the suction roll which is not wrapped by the band 5 and the Magnification section 7, the perforation of the roll shell 1 in the area of Sealing strips 3, i.e. also in the edge area of the roll shell 1.
- the sealing strips 3 are also as in Figure 1 and / or 2nd shown executed.
