Description

The invention relates to an internal combustion engine according to the preamble of claim 1.

For the cooling of piston crowns it is customary to provide oil spray nozzles. The oil spray nozzles are positioned on the inside of a crankcase and supplied with lubricating oil via an oil passage penetrating the crankcase axially parallel to the crankshaft, see for example US 5 503 116 A. This oil passage also supplies the lubricating nozzles for the lubrication of the valve lifters. The oil spray nozzles and the lubrication nozzles are arranged in separate bores which of course requires a large number of bores. In order to ensure proper cooling of the piston crowns an exact positioning of the oil spray nozzles is essential, which causes difficulties during installation. Furthermore, the plurality of holes for the oil spray nozzles and the lubricating nozzles is a high production cost.

The invention has for its object to keep the production costs for the attachment of the oil spray nozzles and the lubricating nozzles as low as possible and to affect this without the functionality of these parts.

This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.

Characterized in that concentric bores are provided for the oil spray nozzles and the lubricating nozzles and this bore at the same time penetrate the oil passage, a plurality of holes is saved.

Eine vorteilhafte Weiterbildung ist Anspruch 2 zu entnehmen. An advantageous development is shown in claim 2.

The fact that the circumferential casing of the lubricating nozzle also serves to prevent rotation, a separate component is saved for this function. It is readily apparent that a separate anti-rotation is not easy to arrange for reasons of space.

A further advantageous embodiment can be taken from claim 3.

The oil spray nozzles used in the first holes are kept both oil-tight and secured against rotation by means of a tab and only one screw.

The push rod is not shown here.

For cooling a piston, an oil spray nozzle 4 is provided, which is directed against the piston crown. The supply of the oil spray nozzle 4 and a lubricating nozzle 5 with oil via a common oil passage 6 which penetrates the entire cylinder bank 1 axially parallel to a crankshaft.

According to the invention, the oil spray nozzle 4 and the lubricating nozzle 5 are introduced into concentric bores 7, 8, which start from the interior of the crankcase and penetrate the oil passage 6 and terminate in a tappet guide 9. The oil spray nozzle 4 is installed in a outgoing from the crankcase and opening out into the oil passage 6 first bore 7, the lubricating nozzle 5 in a outgoing from the oil passage 6 and opening in the tappet guide 9 second bore 8.

The lubricating nozzle 5 is used with its peripheral jacket of the leadership of the roller tappet 2, which has for this purpose on its tappet jacket 10 has a longitudinal groove 11 in which the circumferential casing of the lubricating nozzle 5 slides and protects the roller tappet 2 against rotation. For attachment, the lubricating nozzle 5 can be screwed or pressed into the second bore 8. The lubricating nozzle 5 supplies the roller tappet 2 with lubricating oil via a bore 14.

The oil nozzle 4 is connected to its attachment and simultaneous positioning with a tab 12. The tab 12 in turn is fastened to the crankcase by means of a screw 13 (FIG. 2). The tab 12 represents a rotation of the oil spray nozzle 4.

(Fig. 2).To seal the oil spray nozzle 4 is a cylindrical shoulder 15 which projects into the first hole 7. The oil spray nozzle 4 is held by the screw 13. (Figure 2).
