Definitions

  • the invention relates to a sleeve for ammunition, wherein the wall of the sleeve of a burnable or consumable bobbin consists.
  • Object of the present invention is therefore, despite a thinner wall thickness at the same outer diameter, the strength values of the sleeve wall maintain.
  • the winding body of the sleeve consists of man-made fibers, preferably synthetic fibers such as polyamides and polyesters, and off the inorganic chemical fibers such as silicate fibers (glass fibers) or carbon fibers.
  • synthetic fibers such as polyamides and polyesters
  • inorganic chemical fibers such as silicate fibers (glass fibers) or carbon fibers.
  • the Fibers can also be in a limited, predetermined length in random Arrangement are interconnected with each other in the form of a nonwoven fabric.
  • the tensile strength of the fibers used according to the invention is substantially higher than that of the fibers of natural raw materials.
  • the tensile strength of glass fibers, measured in the fiber direction is higher than that of steel and is about 2500 N / mm 2 .
  • the tensile strength of carbon fibers, for example, is between 1500 N / mm 2 and 3500 N / mm 2 .
  • aramid fibers with a tensile strength of about 3000 N / mm 2 are suitable.
  • Aramid fiber fabrics have a high modulus of elasticity and extreme impact strength. The elastic modulus of these fibers is about 130 ⁇ 10 3 N / mm 2 .
  • the winding body is wound from a mixture of threads, each one of the above Fiber types exists. At least two threads can be different Fiber types in a parallel arrangement next to each other in one layer of the bobbin be filed. This is both in a parallel deposit of threads on the Scope of the bobbin as well as when filing the threads in a cross position possible. This allows for optimal coordination of the wall thickness of the bobbin and its strength threads with a material with a higher tensile strength be used as advantageous where the higher stresses on the Sleeve occur.
  • the bobbin can also off Fabric strips are constructed. This has the advantage that the winding of the Sleeve wall made even easier. In addition, there is no danger that then, if a thread breaks, as otherwise at the break point of individual threads a weak point occurs within the sleeve wall. Furthermore, the winding process is faster completed.
  • the wrapping of tissue has opposite the filing of Monofilaments continue to have the advantage that a fabric strip with a more uniform Distribution of the tension on the winding body can be applied as a single or several individual threads next to each other.
  • a fabric usually consists of the longitudinal ones Warp threads and the transverse weft threads.
  • Warp threads When winding a fabric is it makes sense in terms of the stability of the fabric that the warp threads around the Sleeve axis are wound and that the weft threads substantially in Run longitudinally of the sleeve.
  • the warp threads are made of a material that a higher tensile strength than that of the weft threads.
  • Thread density and weave weave influences The properties of a wound body of tissue will continue through the Thread density and weave weave influences.
  • a plain weave fabric has a smaller floating (narrower curvature) of the threads than a tissue in Satin weave.
  • a larger fleet leads through the better stretching of the threads to a better drapability and strength of the bobbin.
  • the winding body of at least consist of a warehouse of a fleece.
  • a fleece does not consist of threads but of individual fibers of a certain length, which are usually irregular in the Nonwoven oriented.
  • a fleece has a much lower strength than a Tissue, however, by an appropriate choice of fibers and their Arrangement in the nonwoven be given such a strength that it is suitable for a winding process is suitable.
  • a nonwoven Compared to a fabric, a nonwoven has the advantage that it can absorb a much larger volume of liquid substances than a tissue. This makes it possible, by means of a nonwoven fabrics in the bobbin contribute, for example, in their combustion in addition to the charge Generate propellant gases.
  • the strength and cohesion of the bobbin is substantially through the binder produced in a known manner either before winding the Threads are added to the fabric or the fleece or with the Winding body is soaked after its completion.
  • the binder can also be used in Known manner be admixed with an explosive, so that the burn-up or the Consuming the winding tube is accelerated and additional propellant gases for the Storey be provided. That the porosity of the thread layers, a fabric Has influence on the burning or consumption of a wound sleeve is already known.
  • the fleece in the sense has no open pores, it is particularly suitable to absorb not only liquid substances, but also during the Winding process to fix fabrics that are between an already wrapped and the be wound layer fleece introduced into the winding nip. It is not required that these substances are applied in liquid form. Your Consistency only needs to be such that it is present during the wrapping process the two nonwoven layers are fixable.
  • FIG. 1 in the view a), a plan view of a fabric 1 in plain weave is shown shown.
  • the view of the differently colored warp and weft threads shows the typical checkerboard pattern of a plain weave.
  • the dark drawn Threads 2 and the brightly shown threads 3 alternate with respect to their Bonding points 4 in a continuous change. Between the individual threads remain pores 5, which with binder or optionally binders with the Addition of explosives can be filled. You can, however, also as Air pores are used to combustion air required for the combustion To make available.
  • the section through the fabric 1 shown in Figure 1 b) shows the typical Thread course with the binding-related strong curvature, floating, the threads.
  • Figure 2 a is the plan view of a fabric 10 in a so-called twill weave shown. This type of binding has a diagonal course of the binding points 4 the threads 3 and 4 on.
  • the section through the fabric 10 shown in Figure 2 b) shows that the Fleet, the curvature of the threads, is further and the threads thereby a larger Stretching.
  • Figures 4 and 5 show two fabrics that are different with threads Fiber materials are woven.
  • Figure 4 shows a blended fabric 30 in a plain weave, for example the threads 32 made of carbon fibers running in the indicated X-direction and the Y-directional fibers 31 are made of glass fibers.
  • FIG. 5 shows a so-called hybrid fabric 40. Both in X and in Y-direction, the threads of different fibers alternate with each other. Thus, next to each thread of Aramidfasem 41 is a thread of carbon fibers 42nd
  • a sleeve 50 is shown, the wall 51 of three superimposed layers 52 of a nonwoven web 53 consists.
  • This nonwoven web is at a pitch angle 54 about the axis 55 in three layers 52 wound.
  • the fleece 53 itself can in addition to the binder with explosives in support of the Be soaked in burning or eating.
  • During the winding process can also be when winding on the already existing first nonwoven layer a substance between the already wound nonwoven layer and the wound nonwoven layer are introduced. He can additionally the binding support between the nonwoven layers 52. He may optionally in addition Explosives have a different composition, such as in the substance is present, with which the web 53 is soaked itself.
