Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a locking fitting for sliding door leaf, window or the like, comprising a housing elongate in one direction and adapted to be introduced into an opening in a wall on the inside of the sliding leaf, a sliding assembly which is movable in the longitudinal direction of the housing and which comprises an operating member for actuating the sliding assembly from said wall of the sliding leaf, this actuating member being accessible through a longitudinal slot formed in an outer wall of the housing, sliding assembly comprising a bolt-holder carrying a bolt and receiving a locking screw of the bolt accessible by the light, the sliding assembly being shaped such that the head of the screw is masked by a removable cover integral with said sliding assembly.
  • a fitting of the aforementioned type is known, for example, from GB-A-2 310 453 whose homologue GR-A-2 001 772 was published before the priority date claimed in the present application.
  • EP-A-345 185 also discloses a close fitting.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a fitting of the aforementioned type which is of simple and economical structure, extremely reliable, and which can be easily adapted to allow adjustment on site, on the assembly site, the position of the lock according to that of the opening relative to the frame, as for the bolt.
  • the fitting of the type thus cited at the beginning of the description is characterized in that the above-mentioned cover and sliding assembly comprise means adapted to retain the cover on the sliding assembly during the actuation of the screw.
  • the lock fitting 1 for a sliding leaf 2 of a door, window or the like comprises, inside a casing 3, a slider 4 movable in the longitudinal direction 5 of the housing 3 and carrying a bolt carrier 6, means for locking the slider 4 relative to the housing 3 in the locked position of said slider 4, and means for releasing the slider 4 from its locked position.

  • the guide member 115 has two openings or through slots 131 formed from the surface 115a of the member 115 adjacent to the wall 102, respectively at the positions occupied by the two tabs 129 in the position of the plate 103 corresponding to the locked position of the bolt and shown in Figures 17 and 18.
  • each groove 130 has a slight depression 130a at the position of the corresponding lug 129 when the plate 103 is in the position of FIGS. 17 and 18 corresponding to the locked position of the bolt.
  • These recesses 130a define this position of the plate 103 with the necessary precision to obtain with certainty the snapping of the projecting element 11 in the light 8 when it is desired to lock the bolt by means of the key 45.
  • Similar conformations 130a are also provided for the positions of the tabs 129 of the plate 103 corresponding to the open position of the bolt.
  • the plate 103 comprises on its face 125 facing the guide member 115, on either side of its transverse plane of symmetry 124, two ribs 132, 133 extending parallel to said plane 124 and to the transverse direction 18 of the fitting 101, the facing faces of the ribs 132 and 133 forming the walls 50a, 50b above.
  • Each rib 132, 133 has an L shape and comprises a respective rib member 137, 138 extending in the longitudinal direction 5 and defining the respective wall 80, 82 above.
  • the two ribs 132 and 133 are thus adapted to cooperate with the finger 49 integral with a disc 48 driven by the barrel 46.
  • the length and the spacing of the two ribs 132, 133 are determined so as to allow the finger 49 to penetrate in the housing 50 between the two ribs 132, 133, when the disc 48 rotates in one direction or the other, to bear on the wall 50a, 50b of the second rib 132, 133 encountered, and to push, by by means of this second rib 132, 133, the plate 103 in the direction corresponding to the longitudinal direction 5 over a predetermined distance in order to move the sliding assembly 4 from the locked position to the open position of the bolt 40 or vice versa, and then to allow finger 49 to escape said second rib 132, 133 encountered to allow the end of the rotation of the barrel 46.
  • the disc 48 is adapted to be received in the housing circular 134 formed in the guide member 115 opposite the plate 103.
  • the disc 48 has a flattened open flat 46a in which is adapted to penetrate the tongue 109 to allow the actuation of the disc 48 by the barrel 46.
  • the plate 103 provided with two pins 126 thus makes it possible to control by means of the key 45, from outside the opening 2, the displacements of the sliding assembly in the locking direction 13 to its locked locked position.
  • the element 11 engages the edge 12 under the action of the elastic means 114.
  • the plate 103 likewise makes it possible to control the displacements in the opposite direction by means of the key 45.
  • the surface 111 of the pin 126 acting on the surface 53 of the stud 52 extracts the projecting element 11 from its position in FIG. taken with the song 12 of light 8.
  • a fitting 101 of simple and modular structure has thus been described making it possible to choose on the spot the functions that one wishes to obtain: locking by means of the key, locking by means of the key, automatic locking in the locked position, etc. .
  • the elements constituting the fitting 101 are adaptable to all ranges and to all opening materials, and to all dimensions.
  • a handle of any type other than that described above for example a lever or rocker or pusher handle, passing through the lumen 8.
  • a slider and a housing respectively comprising the fingers 34 and bulges 36, or the lug 61 and the conformations 62, 63 and 64, without having a projecting element 11 adapted to project by the light 8 in the locked position of the slider 4.
  • the bolt carrier 6 and the bolt 40 may be of any type.
  • the guide member 115 could be fixed to the housing 3 in another way.
  • the attachment of the guide member 115, by rivets easy to install, on the fastener 117 allows to use the guide member 115 only in the case where there is provided a lock for the control, since the outside of the opening, of the sliding assembly by means of the key 45.
