Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a fitting of lock for sliding door, window or the like, comprising, inside a housing, a sliding assembly movable in the direction longitudinal of the case and carrying a bolt holder, a operating member for actuating the sliding assembly from the wall on the inside of the door, and means for actuating the sliding assembly from the wall on the outer side of the opening by means of a lock cylinder driven by a key, the fitting comprising a drive member in the form of a plate adapted to slide in the direction longitudinal of the housing with respect to said housing and comprising, on the one hand, means adapted to cooperate with complementary means integral with the barrel to allow to move said drive member one way or the other using the key, the other part, means adapted to cooperate with means complementary to the sliding assembly to allow to move said sliding assembly in one direction or in the other by means of the key.
  • This fitting includes an external housing and an inner box fixed to each other by screws inserted from the inside of the door, and has many overlapping elements held by these screw.
  • This structure cannot be transposed to fittings suitable for being introduced in one piece from the inside of the door.
  • the object of the present invention is to remedy to the drawbacks of known fittings of the aforementioned type, and to propose a fitting of this type which is of simple and economical structure, extremely reliable, and that can be easily adapted to allow on-site adjustment, on the assembly site, of the position of the lock according to that of the opening relative to the frame, as for the bolt.
  • the fitting of the aforementioned type is characterized in that the housing is consisting of a profile with two walls longitudinal sides substantially parallel in protruding on the same side with respect to the wall exterior, and is suitable to be introduced into a opening in the inner wall of the door sliding, the outer wall of the housing covering fully the opening, and in that the plate is adapted to slide between the housing and a body integral guidance of the housing and extending along the inner face of the wall on the outer side of the opening, and has on its face adjacent to the side walls from the housing at least one stud in sailie towards the housing for driving the sliding assembly by said nipple.
  • the locking hardware 1 for opening sliding door 2, window or the like includes, to inside a housing 3, a slide 4 movable in the longitudinal direction 5 of the housing 3 and carrying a bolt holder 6, means for locking the slide 4 relative to the housing 3 in the locked position said slide 4, and means for releasing the slide 4 from its locked position.
  • the slide 4 comprises means forming an operating member 7 accessible through a longitudinal light 8 formed on the outer wall 9 of the housing 3.
  • the slide 4 has on its face 10 adjacent to the outer wall 9 of the boot 3 an element 11 projecting from a predetermined height C relative to said adjacent face 10.
  • This projecting element 11 is arranged in such a way that, in the locked position of the slide 4, it projects through the slot 8 and is in abutment against the edge 12 of the outer wall 9 which defines the longitudinal end of the slot 8 on the side opposite to the locking direction 13 of the slide (see figure 2).
  • the protruding element 11 defined by its transverse face 11a opposite to the direction 13 locking a song 11a which engages with the edge 12 in the locked position of the slide 4 (see figure 2).
  • Element 11 thus constitutes a burglar-resistant device and blocks slide 4 in its locked position.
  • Elastic return means 14 are arranged between the slider 4 and the housing 3 so as to permanently urge the slider 4 towards the outer wall 9 of the housing 3 while allowing movement of the slider 4 in the direction 15 perpendicular to the outer wall 9 over a distance at least equal to said predetermined height C. This makes it possible to push the protruding element 11 towards the inside of the housing 3 in order to unlock the slider 4 from its locked position, the protruding element 11 then sliding along the internal face 9a of the external wall 9 of the housing. 3.
  • the distance C is for example substantially equal to the thickness of the wall 9. The anti-intrusion element 11 has thus been released.
