Claims (9)

  1. Method for feeding sheets (B) to a sheet-processing machine by feeding sheets (B) in an underlapped manner from a sheet feeder in a substantially horizontal plane to a feed table (1) which is inclined downwards with respect to the said substantially horizontal plane and is configured as a suction belt table, via a turn point which is defined by the feed plane and the plane of the feed table (1), by deflecting the underlapped stream of sheets by means of deflection rollers (8) at the turn point out of the feed plane into the plane of the feed table (1),

    - in that the actuating drive can be activated by means of the controller after at least the front end of the first sheet (B) of a stream of sheets which lies in an underlapped manner has been fed until over the turn point between the feed plane and the feed table (1) and after the front edge of the first sheet (B) has passed the position of the deflection rollers (8),
    - in such a way that the deflection rollers (8) can be set against the feed table (1) with an increased force, the feed table (1) being a suction belt table, and

  3.
