Abstract

The system to carry paper sheets to a workstation by pushing them from below, and especially to a sheet-fed printing press, has a setting drive to control the in and out movements of the deflection rollers (8) at the downwards suction belt table (1), where the sheets are carried from the feed plane (5) through a kinked transfer point (7) to the suction belt. The control is linked to the machine control so that, at the start of a forward movement, the rollers are in a rest position over the feed plane. After the feed of at least two sheets (B) pushed from below over the kinked transfer point, the deflection rollers are activated to bear strongly against the suction belt. When a sheet has been caught between the rollers and the belt, the pressure is reduced.
