Claims (5)

  1. Briefschließvorrichtung für eine Postmaschine, mit ersten Transporteinrichtungen (21,22), um einen Umschlag (12), dessen Klappe (14) geöffnet ist, zu einer Briefschließstation hin zu transportieren, an der Schließstation angeordnete Einrichtungen (2,3) zum Schließen der Briefklappe und zweite Transporteinrichtungen (26,27), um den Umschlag, dessen Klappe geschlossen ist, von der Schließstation abzutransportieren, wobei die Transporteinrichtungen und die Schließeinrichtungen von Steuerungseinrichtungen gesteuert werden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Schließeinrichtungen ein einziehbares Preßelement (2, 3) haben, das in der Schließstation quer zum Weg des Umschlags angeordnet ist, wobei die Steuerungseinrichtungen eingerichtet sind, um
    a) das Preßelement (2,3) an den Weg hin zu führen und die Klappe (14) zu stoßen, wenn der Umschlag (12) noch in der Schließstation ist und mit den zweiten Transporteinrichtungen (26,27) im Eingriff ist;
    b) die zweiten Transporteinrichtungen (26,27) während einer ausreichend langen Zeitdauer in entgegengesetzte Richtung zu drehen, um den Umschlag (12) und seine Klappe (14) zum und im Preßelement zurück kehren zu lassen,
    c) das Preßelement (2,3)zu aktivieren, dann zu entspannen, um die Klappe (14) an den Umschlag zu kleben,
    d) die Vorwärtsbewegung der zweiten Transporteinrichtungen (26,27) wieder aufzunehmen, um den Umschlag (12) aus dem Preßelement (2,3) und aus der Schließstation abzutransportieren, und
    e) das Preßelement (2,3) wieder einzuziehen.
  2. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Schließstation Einrichtungen (15,16,17) zum Befeuchten der Briefklappe aufweist.
  3. Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die ersten und/oder zweiten Transporteinrichtungen aus zwei Paaren von Transportrollen (21,22;26,27) bestehen.
  4. Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Preßelement aus einem drehbaren Tisch (2) mit einem dazu gehörigen Preßschuh (3) besteht, wobei der Tisch und der Schuh an Steuerungseinrichtungen (32,35) angeschlossen sind.
  5. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Preßschuh (3) aus einem Blech mit rundgebogenem Rand besteht.
