Description

The invention relates to a low-voltage circuit breaker with a front wall and a rear wall Housing with certain functional divisions, with the front wall and the rear wall by a vertical in the use position running joint between the front wall of the housing and the rear wall of the housing are separated.

Located between the front wall of the housing and the rear wall of the housing the circuit breakers of the circuit breaker. It is consequently required for the purpose of maintenance or repair to remove the switch contact systems from the back of the housing, to get access to the corresponding assemblies. This can be done after all screws have been removed are which the rear wall of the housing directly with the front wall of the housing and connect with the foot plates. For large low-voltage circuit breakers is the rear wall of the housing and the housing front wall in proportion large and interlocking interlocking molded plastic parts, so that there is no avoiding separation the back of the case from the case front is a relative great effort is required. With one Tilting or gluing the two parts together into one jerky movement of the back wall in relation to the front wall of the housing.

It should be noted that the Current transformers are located using electrical cables the electronic release unit are connected, which is spatially in front of the front wall of the housing and the protective functions of the circuit breaker controls. With such a jerky movement or too much effort there is a risk that these connecting lines also jerky or overworked and possibly Suffer damage or from their terminals be torn out.

A low voltage circuit breaker of the ones considered here conventional design is for example in the U.S. Patent 4,764,650. This low voltage circuit breaker is with a vertical joint between the front wall and the rear wall with certain functional divisions provided and shows the between those in both housing parts arranged switch elements.

Durch diese Anordnung soll die Gefahr einer Beschädigung (abreißen) der empfindlichen Stromleitungen zwischen den Stromwandlern und den vorn liegenden Überstromauslösern vermieden werden.DE-GM 296 15 162 shows a low-voltage circuit breaker with one arranged concentrically to the connecting rail Current transformer and a connection line to the overcurrent release, in which the switch rear wall by a low and pivot axis arranged in the area of the foot plates is hinged to the rear. By this arrangement the risk of damaging (tearing off) the sensitive Power lines between the current transformers and the overcurrent releases at the front can be avoided.

However, there is nevertheless a risk of jerky or too vigorous movement is not excluded, although it only occurs as a pivoting movement of the switch rear wall.

The object of the present invention is now a Danger or damage to the electrical connection lines between the current transformers in the rear wall of the housing and the electronic in front of the housing front wall Exclude tripping unit when the low-voltage circuit breaker for maintenance or repair purposes is dismantled.

This object is achieved in that in particular for multi-pole low-voltage circuit breakers with a housing front wall and a housing rear wall, the due to a vertical joint in the position of use are separated from each other in the bottom of the rear wall of the housing an integrated cable duct is provided, which is below the contact carrier bearings and the lower connecting rails surrounding current transformer chambers, essentially across the entire width of the low-voltage circuit breaker extends and in the direction of the front wall of the housing one or more through openings for the passage of the Connection lines between the current transformers and one front electronic release unit. This Cable duct is not from other rooms of the low voltage circuit breaker cut, but forms a completely separate tunnel. It takes all the harnesses in one from the rest of the low-voltage circuit breaker in a separate room and thus avoids the risk of damage to the cables during assembly, repair and maintenance work on the switch.

The cable duct is closed with a cover plate that made of a thin and elastic material with sufficient Resistance to being pressed into the cable duct consists. A suitable material can suitably be a hard tissue his.

To accommodate the cover plate for the cable duct is in the floor the housing rear wall has a groove on the housing side with a groove in the Groove protruding over the entire length of the cable duct Nose provided, in which the cover plate for Closing the cable duct can be snapped into place.

The cover plate is preferably for assembly and disassembly provided with one or more disassembly openings. The cover plate can be done with the help of these disassembly openings of tools inserted into and removed from the groove be, the nose pushing through the cover plate prevented in the cable duct.

The invention is intended to be better understood in the following a preferred, the scope of the invention is not restrictive example, with reference to the associated Drawing to be explained in more detail.
