Description

The invention relates to a safety brake device, in particular for elevator cars, with a housing and at least two brake shoes, of which at least one is parallelogram connected by at least two links with the housing and is movable from a release position into a catch position in which the at least two brake shoes a stationary Clamp rail by the force of spring means between them, which spring means are arranged on the links and the handlebars against the force of the spring means are variable in their length.

Brake safety devices have the task to shut down an elevator car at too high a speed. You must be able to stop the payload cab from free fall, with a range set for the deceleration to be achieved.

Most of the known brake safety devices have brake shoes which engage a rail oriented in the direction of travel of the car, for example a guide rail for the elevator car. The movement of the brake shoes takes place in the known brake safety devices by eccentric, wedges or rockers. The movement of the brake shoes with handlebars, which form a parallelogram, is already known. The patent application GB 2 314 070 shows such a brake device. This type of mounting of the brake shoes has the advantage that the braking surfaces of the brake shoes are always aligned parallel to the rail and that the brake device can be easily detached from the fishing position again. A disadvantage of this design is that it requires relatively many parts and is therefore expensive to manufacture. For example, additional guides are provided for each brake shoe together with at least two links with four joints, which receive springs on which the force transmitted to the handlebars is deflected.

From the DE-C-173355 is a brake device known which has two brake shoes, which are each mounted on two parallelogram-shaped arms. Also arranged on the handlebars are the spring means with which the brake shoes are pressed in the catching position against the stationary rail. The triggering of the safety brake takes place directly on the handlebars, with the result that the triggering force must be higher, the stronger the springs interacting with the parallelograms. In other words, the use of such a brake device for braking large masses and the release mechanism would have to be more dimensioned.

Based on this prior art, the present invention has the object to propose a brake device, which requires fewer components and therefore is inexpensive to produce, which takes up little space with large braking forces and which can be triggered with little effort.

This object is according to the invention solved in that adjacent to the at least one movable brake shoe, a lever is mounted at one of its ends in the housing so that it is aligned from an initial position in which it is at least approximately parallel to the links of the adjacent brake shoe, so is pivotable that first its other end touches the rail and then it is present at the adjacent brake shoe and this pushes into the catching position and that the lever against the force of arranged on him further spring means in its length is variable.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, two brake shoes are connected to each other with respect to the rail opposite by two bars parallelogram with the housing.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, another lever is axially symmetrical to the lever, wherein the longitudinal axis of the rail forms the axis of symmetry and the ends of the two levers facing the rail are hingedly connected to one another by tabs.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, the end of the at least one lever facing the rail has a friction-increasing segment and the lever and the friction-increasing segment are so designed that when triggering the safety brake device, the friction-increasing segment first touches the rail and at the further movement of the lever in the catch position away from the rail again. In the catching position of the lever then there is a non-friction-increasing surface of the lever on the rail. On account of this particular design, on the one hand it is achieved that the friction-increasing region is in contact with the rail only very briefly and therefore can not become clogged with chips removed from the rail. On the other hand, the wear of the rail is kept to a minimum.

The safety brake device is installed in a housing 1, which is strongly dimensioned so that it can absorb the high forces occurring during a braking operation. A permanently mounted in the elevator shaft rail 2 protrudes into the housing 1, as in particular in FIG. 3 sees. On both sides of the rail 2 in the housing 1 brake shoes 5 are arranged on two handlebars 3 in a range movable. In FIG. 1 , Which represents the release position in which the safety brake device is in normal operation of the elevator, it can be seen that the range of movement of the brake shoes 5 is limited downwards by stop pins 18 and that arranged in the release position on the brake shoes 5 brake pads 6 in a small Distance from the rail 2 are located. The other end of the range of movement of the brake shoes 5 is in the in FIG. 2 Fang position achieved by the brake shoes pending at the top of the wall 19 of the housing 1 and the brake pads 6 are pressed against the rail 2. Each link 3 is constructed so that it can yield to a force acting in its axis by a small amount. For example, the handlebars 3 can be constructed for this purpose from two telescopically movable parts. Further, each link 3 carries a spring 4, which has the shape of a package of disc springs in the present example.

The brake safety devices, which are usually mounted in pairs on opposite sides of an elevator car, are dimensioned so that in the catching position the force exerted by the springs 4 on the brake shoes 5 force is sufficient to full on the occurring between the brake pads 6 and the rail 2 friction to bring the loaded cabin to a safe stop. The triggering of the braking operation takes place, for example, by a triggering device which has a traction means, for example a cable, which is movable parallel to the direction of movement of the elevator car. The cable is guided at the ends of the route of the elevator car on rollers, one of which is equipped with a device for monitoring the speed and with a brake device for the rope. A pivotally mounted on the elevator car release lever is in the Figures 1 and 2 shown with broken lines and designated 14. As soon as the device for monitoring the speed determines that the elevator car, which is traveling downwards in the present exemplary embodiment, exceeds a predetermined limiting speed, the braking device is activated and said cable stops immediately. The continued downward movement of the elevator car now causes the release lever 14 is pivoted upward by the force exerted in the direction of the arrow 15 via the rope attached to it. According to a - not shown - embodiment of the invention, the release lever 14 can act on the brake shoes 5, for example via a on in the Figures 1 and 2 right illustrated brake shoe 5 arranged pin. According to this embodiment, not shown, the two right and left of the rail 2 arranged brake shoes 5 should be operatively connected to each other, so that they are moved together when triggered to the rail 2 out. As soon as the brake pads 6 touch the rail 2 and are pressed against them with a certain force, the upwardly directed, on the brake shoes 5 acting frictional force to bring the brake shoes fully in the catch position in which the maximum braking force is applied.

The above-described, not shown embodiment of the invention is sufficient for smaller and medium elevator cars. But if heavy elevator cars are equipped with the brake safety device, their parts, in particular the springs 4 must be very strong dimensions. This has the consequence that the time required for the release of the brake safety device initial force is also greater, because it may be necessary that the springs 14 are minimally compressed before the upward, acting on the brake shoes 5 friction, the brake shoes completely in the fishing position is pressing. If this initial force is not applied, there is a risk that the brake pads 6 slide along the rail 2, without properly gripping. On the other hand, it is desirable that the triggering device described above is not dependent on the mass of the elevator car in question, but can be used as a standard component.

This problem is solved by the illustrated in the drawings particular embodiment of the invention, with which a kind of servo brake is realized. Two below the handlebars 3 and approximately parallel to these arranged feed elevator 7 and 8 are pivotally mounted on the housing. Like the handlebars 3, the intake lifters 7 and 8 are constructed so that they can give way to a force acting in their axis by a small amount. Also, each feed elevator 7 and 8 has a spring assembly 17, which are dimensioned smaller than the springs 4 of the handlebar 3. At the free end of each feed elevator 7, 8, a friction-increasing segment 9 is preferably mounted interchangeable. This may be, for example, a hardened, teeth or tooth-like elevations exhibiting component. Unlike in the previously described embodiment, in this embodiment, the release lever 14 does not act directly on the brake shoe 3, but on the right in the figures shown intake elevator 7, via a pin 10 attached to it. The two intake elevator 7 and 8 are connected to each other operatively connected, with attached at their ends tabs 11 and 12, through which a bolt 13 protrudes, as particularly clearly in FIG. 3 you can see. To the Triggering this brake catching device is sufficient even a small, exerted by the trigger lever 14 on the feed elevator 7 force to let both feed elevator 7 and 8 attack with their friction-enhancing segments 9 on the rail. As a result, the feed lifter are moved by the frictional force upward, abut the lower ends 20 of the brake shoes 3 and push them with great force up into the catch position.

The FIGS. 4 and 5 show the friction-increasing segment 9 of the intake elevator 7 in relation to the FIG. 1 enlarged scale. How to get in FIG. 5 sees, the intake elevator 7 at its front end a slot into which a segment 9 made of a hard material, such as hardened steel, with pins, such as heavy-duty pins 21, interchangeable used. The segment 9 has a region with teeth 22 and the end of the intake elevator 7 is designed so that only a part of these teeth 22 protrudes, as it is particularly clear in FIG. 4 you can see. Of course, the intake elevator 8 is also equipped with such a segment 9. This design has the consequence that the teeth 22 attack only a short moment on the rail 2 when triggering the brake device and thereby the intake lifter 7 and 8 quickly into their upper, in FIG. 2 shown end position are brought. In this end positions, the teeth 22 no longer touch the rail 2, but the end faces 23 of the intake lifters 7 and 8 rest against the rail 2.

In FIG. 3 is to be seen a 16 designated connecting shaft, which is rotatably connected to the intake elevator 7 and has the task of simultaneously triggering a arranged on the opposite side of the elevator cabin further brake device by also there is rotatably connected to the corresponding intake elevator.

In the foregoing description, it has been assumed that the inventive brake catcher catches a lift cage that moves too fast downwards. Of course, however, the device according to the invention can also be used so that it catches a lift cage that moves too fast upwards. For this purpose, the device described is either rotated by 180 ° attached to the elevator car or it is mounted on the counterweight of the elevator. Of course, inventive brake safety devices can be combined with each other so that they are effective in both directions of travel of an elevator car. Finally, it should be mentioned that not only elevators, but any lifting equipment can be secured with the inventive braking device.

Claims (7)

  1. Braking device, in particular for lift cars, with a housing (1) and at least two brake shoes (5), of which at least one is connected to the housing (1) in a parallelogram-like way via two steering elements (3) and is movable from a release position into a caught position in which the at least two brake shoes clamp a stationary rail (2) between them through the force of spring means (4), which spring means are disposed on the steering elements (3), and the steering elements (3) are able to be changed in their length against the force of the spring means (4), characterised in that, adjacent to the at least one movable brake shoe (5), a lever (7) is borne, at one of its ends, in the housing (1) such that it is pivotable from a starting position, in which it is aligned close to parallel to the steering elements (3) of the adjacent brake shoe (5), such that first its other end (9) touches the rail (2) and it then abuts the adjacent brake shoe and pushes the latter into the caught position, and in that the lever (7) against the force of the further spring means (17) disposed thereon is able to be changed in its length.
  2. Braking device according to claim 1, characterised in that two brake shoes (5), opposite each other with respect to the rail (2), are connected to the housing (1) by two steering elements (3) each in a parallelogram-like way.
  3. Braking device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the spring means consist of packets of spring plates (4).
  4. Braking device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that a further lever (8) is present axially symmetrically to the lever (7), the longitudinal axis of the rail forming the axis of symmetry, and in that the two ends of the two levers (7, 8) turned toward the rail (2) are connected to each other in an articulated way by mounting plates (11, 12).
  5. Braking device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the end, turned towards the rail (2), of the at least one lever (7, 8) has a friction-increasing segment (9).
  6.
