Description

The present invention generally relates to electrical connectors for electrical equipment to report in a trunking of electrical conductors, such as a strong or weak currents, a switch, a TV socket, a fuse holder and a light luminous.

It relates more particularly to an electrical connector for an electrical equipment comprising a functional front portion and a rear portion housing metal connection blades.

Such electrical equipment may advantageously be a modular apparatus that can be associated with another complementary electrical apparatus so as to constitute a strip of electrical equipment.

The present invention also relates to an electrical system comprising, on the one hand, an electrical equipment to report in a chute, and, on the other hand, such an electrical connector.

Already known from FR 2,727,801 is a modular electrical apparatus which comprises, for its power supply, a terminal block adapted to be positioned on an end face of said electrical equipment.

This terminal has a closed upper front face to prevent access to the inside of the terminal block when it is installed, and a lower rear face closed.

It further comprises a contact support comprising, at one end, means for fixing the electrical conductors to be connected to the electrical equipment. These fixing means are for example screw pads.

These screw pads are secured to conductive blades placed at the opposite end of the contact support of the terminal block. These conductive blades are intended to come into contact with the ends of the metal blades for electrical connection of the electrical equipment, when the terminal block is coupled to the latter by one of its end faces.

In addition to the fact that the aforementioned electrical connector is relatively complex, it is positioned in the chute at the same level as the electrical equipment to which it is connected in alignment thereof. It is therefore necessary to provide, in such an electrical connector, arrangements to prohibit access to its electrical connection means. In addition, he takes a certain place in the chute, a place that becomes unavailable for the installation of another electrical equipment in it.

Document FR 2 691 846 also discloses an electrical apparatus comprising a front part adapted to receive an electrical connection plug and a rear part provided with female contact pieces adapted to receive the pins of said plug and to connect to a cable of the power supply network.

According to this document, the rear part of this electrical equipment comprises insulation displacement metal contacts in a number equal to the number of conductors of the power supply network, for connecting said electrical equipment to the power supply network.

This electrical apparatus also comprises a cover of insulating material which can be fitted on its rear part, this cover comprising guides arranged in correspondence with the metal insulation displacement contacts of the rear part of the body of the electrical equipment and adapted to receive the electrical conductors. the power supply network to position them in front of the slots of said insulation displacement metal contacts and make them penetrate into said slots during the nesting of said cover on the rear part of the body of the electrical equipment.

Such a system of electrical equipment and electrical connector is relatively complex and difficult to implement in a chute, without the intervention of a special clamp to help the establishment of the cover on the rear part of the apparatus electrical, so as to insert said conductors that the cover carries in the slots of the insulation displacement metal contacts of said electrical equipment.

Finally, there is known a "vampire" type electrical connector for electrical equipment with screw terminals, which comprises an insulating housing housing a connecting blade comprising, on one side of the housing, a pair of insulation displacement metal contacts for connection to a terminal. electrical conductor circulating in a chute, and on the other side of the housing, metal contacts for the connection of a terminal connected to an electrical wire connected to one of the terminals of said electrical equipment.

The main disadvantage of such an electrical connector is that it requires a prewiring of the electrical equipment with the electrical wire provided with the connection lug to said connector.

Compared to the prior art, the present invention proposes a new electrical connector for electrical equipment comprising a functional front portion and a rear portion housing metal connection blades, which is simple to implement in the chute for electrically connecting the electrical equipment in question to the power supply network.

More particularly, the present invention provides an electrical connector of the type defined in the introduction, characterized in that it comprises an insulating housing housing at least one connecting blade having, on one side of the housing, a pair of self-cutting metal contacts for the connection of an electrical conductor flowing in said chute, and, on the other side of the housing, at least one metal contact to be inserted in the rear part of the electrical equipment, via an orifice provided in its wall of bottom, to engage with one of the metal blades of electrical connection of said electrical equipment.

Thus, according to the invention, the electrical connector is advantageously positioned on the rear face of the electrical equipment to be reported on the base of a chute, so it becomes difficult to access when it is put in place on the electrical equipment placed in the chute and takes no additional place in the longitudinal direction of said chute, place that can be reserved for the establishment of another electrical equipment of the same type.

In addition, the electrical connector according to the invention, comprising the insulation displacement metal contacts, is easily put in place on electrical conductors already circulating in the chute and then makes it possible to perform a subculture on an existing electrical network.

The direct connection of each connecting blade of the electrical connector according to the invention, on each metal blade electrical connection of the electrical equipment, avoids a prewiring of the latter.

According to an advantageous characteristic of the electrical connector according to the invention, each connecting blade is arranged so that the pair of insulation displacement metal contacts and said metal contact extend in the same direction in opposite directions.

Advantageously, there is provided an electrical connector 140 for electrically connecting the electrical equipment 100 to electrical conductors flowing in the chute on which said electrical equipment 100 is reported.

According to the preferred embodiment shown in Figures 1, 2 and 3, this electrical connector 140 comprises an insulating housing 141, 142 housing here three connecting blades 150 arranged in parallel. This insulating casing 141, 142 is in the form of an elongated bar accommodating the connecting strips 150 arranged in parallel and intended to establish, simultaneously, the electrical connection between three electrical conductors flowing in the chute and the three metal blades. electrical connection 131, 132, 133 of the electrical equipment 100.

Avantageusement, chaque lame de connexion 150 du connecteur électrique 140 comporte, d'un côté du boîtier isolant 141, 142, une paire de contacts métalliques autodénudants 152 pour le raccordement d'un conducteur électrique circulant dans la goulotte, et, de l'autre côté du boîtier isolant 141, 142, une paire de contacts métalliques 151 destinée à être insérée dans la partie arrière 110 dudit appareillage électrique 100, via un orifice prévu dans la paroi du fond du boîtier isolant constituant la partie arrière 110 dudit appareillage électrique 100, pour être enfichée sur une des lames métalliques de connexion électrique 131, 132 dudit appareillage électrique 100.Advantageously, each connecting blade 150 of the electrical connector 140 comprises, on one side of the insulating casing 141, 142, a pair of insulating metal contacts 152 for connecting an electrical conductor flowing in the chute, and on the other side on the side of the insulating housing 141, 142, a pair of metal contacts 151 intended to be inserted into the rear part 110 of said electrical equipment 100, via an orifice provided in the bottom wall of the insulating housing constituting the rear part 110 of said electrical equipment 100, to be plugged into one of the electrical connection blades 131, 132 of said electrical equipment 100.

More particularly, the insulation displacement metal contacts 152 define between them a slot 152A having a V-shaped opening and whose edges are cutting blades to cut the insulating sheath of the electrical conductor inserted in said slot 152A.

The metal contacts 151 of each connecting blade 150 delimit between them a slot 151A into which is inserted a portion of a metal blade electrical connection of the electrical equipment 100.

The insertion ports of the pairs of metal contacts 151 of each connecting blade 150 of the electrical connector 140, in the rear part 110, are located near the slots 118 of the insulating housing of the rear part 110 of the electrical equipment 100 and more particularly, between these slots 118 and the closed end wall 117 of said insulating housing of the rear part 110 of the electrical equipment 100.

As is more particularly shown in FIG. 3, advantageously, each connecting blade 150 of the electrical connector 140, made of metallic material, is arranged so that the pair of insulation displacement metal contacts 152 and the pair of metal contacts 151 intended to establish the connection with a metal electrical connection blade 131, 132, 133, extend in the same direction in opposite directions, and preferably in parallel directions Y, X, so that the insulation displacement metal contacts 152 are offset laterally relative to each other. with metal contacts 151.

The insulation displacement metal contacts 152 and the metal contacts 151 belong to the same metal part 150 and are connected by a lateral part 154.

This lateral offset of the insulation displacement metal contacts 152 with respect to the metal contacts 151 of each connecting blade 150 of the electrical connector 140 advantageously makes it possible to release space above and below the insulation displacement metal contacts 152 with respect to the metal contacts 151. which facilitates an intervention of an installer for, with the aid of a clamp, clamping the insulation displacement metal contacts 152 on the electrical conductor to be electrically connected to the electrical equipment 100 via said connector 140, and provide a stripping perfect of it.

The insulating housing of the electrical connector 140 comprises, on the one hand, a support portion 141 housing each connecting blade 150, open at the rear to let emerge each pair of insulation displacement metal contacts 152, and, on the other hand, a part cover 142 mounted pivotally on the support portion 141 so as to close the rear opening thereof.

Avantageusement, l'axe de pivotement de la partie couvercle 142 dudit boîtier isolant s'étend perpendiculairement à la direction Y selon laquelle s'étendent les contacts métalliques autodénudants 152 de chaque lame de connexion 150.Advantageously, the pivot axis of the cover portion 142 of said insulating housing extends perpendicular to the direction Y along which the insulation displacement metal contacts 152 of each connecting blade 150 extend.

Said cover portion 142 is connected to said support portion 141 of the insulating housing of the electrical connector 140 via a hinge hinge 147 which is formed by molding a plastic material with said cover portions 142 and support 141. This hinge hinge 147 is formed by a thin film.

In addition, the cover portion 142 of the insulating housing of the electrical connector 140 comprises, in its parallel side walls, in correspondence with each pair of insulation displacement metal contacts 152 of each connection blade 150, a cradle 145 for receiving and holding the conductor electrical insert for insertion into said insulation displacement metal contacts 152.

Each cradle 145 is formed by the edge of a circular opening provided in the side walls of the cover portion 142. Advantageously, to the right of the insulation displacement metal contacts 152 of each connecting blade 150, on the support portion 141 and the cover portion 142 of the housing, there are ribs 146 for gripping a clamp used by an installer to tighten the insulation displacement metal contacts 152 on the electrical conductors inserted into said insulation displacement metal contacts.

Each connecting blade 150 comprises, at the base and on one lateral side of a metal contact 151, a tooth 153 which hooks into the material of a branch 143 of a front part of the support part, to be maintained in the latter.

Each front portion is adapted to be inserted into the insulating housing of the rear portion 110 of the electrical equipment 100 via said hole provided in its bottom wall.

For this purpose, at least one of the branches 143 of each front portion of said insulating housing of the electrical connector 140 comprises, on an outer side, a ratchet tooth 144 for holding the electrical connector 140 on the rear part 110 of the apparatus electrical 100.

Such an electrical connector 140 forms, with the electrical equipment 100 shown in Figure 1, an electrical system.

Ce connecteur électrique 140 présente les avantages suivants :

  • il est simple et rapide à mettre en oeuvre ;
  • il est peu encombrant du fait qu'il se loge dans une partie de la goulotte située en dessous de l'appareillage électrique 100 où circulent les conducteurs électriques et ne prend pas de place dans cette goulotte suivant son axe longitudinal ;
  • il est une prise directe sur les lames métalliques de connexion électrique de l'appareillage électrique, ce qui permet d'éviter un précâblage de l'appareillage électrique pour son raccordement au réseau d'alimentation électrique ;
This electrical connector 140 has the following advantages:
  • it is simple and quick to implement;
