Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a roof, a cladding or similar component, constituted by contiguous corrugated plates, comprising a device for fixing a protective cover or insulation or for hanging devices various on this roof.
  • Roofs or similar roofing elements have been known for more than a century, formed of corrugated resistant plates, in particular made of a material of the fiber-cement or steel type, and more recently of polyester resin, with or without fiberglass. or the like.
  • corrugated plates are able to form a continuous coating, separating the interior and exterior of any building, in particular to protect the interior thereof under the roof thus formed vis-à-vis water infiltration rain or other, the latter collecting on the top of the coating in the hollow corrugations of the plates, to flow outward if the roof has a suitable inclination on the horizontal.
  • corrugated plates generally have relatively limited dimensions so that the coating is necessarily formed by the juxtaposition of such plates, overlapping each other over a suitable distance along their adjacent edges, at least the last wave of a plate which has become lodged at the end. the interior of the corresponding corrugation of the neighboring plate partially overlapping it.
  • the difficulty consists precisely in securing the cover or the ridge plate of the corrugated sheets, the latter, especially when they are made of cement fiber, whether it is an existing roof or a new construction, being difficult to drill for the passage of studs or other fastening means, cooperating with locking nuts or the like, allowing to immobilize the cover vis-à-vis the plates.
  • French patent FR 590.921 discloses a roof of this kind formed of corrugated sheets, in particular asbestos cement, comprising a fastening device, in particular for ridge plate, and provides in one embodiment, the implementation of pieces in the form of clamps, asked jumper on the shore of a corrugated plate located in line with the area where the ridgeboard is to be placed, these parts serving as anchor for a bolt which extends perpendicularly to the corrugated plate and which serves the same purpose to immobilize the ridge plate relative thereto.
  • Such a fixing device can of course be applied without any modification of the means used, when it comes to applying and fixing on the roof formed of corrugated sheets, an insulating coating, applied against the surface of this roofing, using in exactly the same way the pliers-shaped parts mounted on the edges of the corrugated plates and the mounting studs supported by these parts.
  • French patent FR-A-2,524,524 also describes a device for mounting and immobilizing an insulating or other coating on a roof formed of corrugated sheets, which again uses pieces or staples placed as a jumper on the banks of the plates, as already known from the French patent FR 590.921 , the invention described being limited to a particular form of these parts comprising two clamping jaws which cooperate with a bolt whose head is integral with one of the jaws and which comprises a threaded rod cooperating with a first nut to immobilize the other jaws against the first by clamping the edge of the corrugated plate, this threaded rod then passing through the insulating coating which is applied to the corrugated plates by a second nut engaged with the protruding end of the threaded rod.
  • the patent German DE-A-198 10 722 also discloses a similar solution for attaching and attaching an insulation and / or protection cover, or supporting various apparatus on the top of a roof constituted by the juxtaposition of corrugated plates, in which the edge or side edge of at least one plate is held between the two jaws of a clamp so as to avoid drilling the plate, connecting means being provided between the clamp and the cover.
  • the present invention relates to a new solution for mounting a support piece at the edge of a corrugated plate of a roof of the aforementioned type, which has vis-à-vis the known solutions mentioned above particularly appreciable advantages , while again avoiding the drilling of this plate for the immobilization of the support piece.
  • a roof or cladding according to the invention in particular avoids any system of clamping jaws on the banks of corrugated plates, allowing not only to ensure the right of each support piece a punctual anchoring for fixing the cover of insulation or protection to apply and immobilize on the top of the roof formed by these plates, but also to mount between parts of this kind, arranged on either side of the same corrugated plate, means adapted to support fasteners of the cover, distributed at will on these means, so that the implementation of a sandwich structure where the cover is immobilized between two corrugated plates, is no longer necessary.
  • Another advantage of the invention is that the proposed device allows to perfectly position the panels constituting the insulating layer, before immobilization of the latter by the retaining means retained.
  • Yet another advantage of the invention is that it allows to hang or fix any type of device to be mounted and fixed on a roof or cladding.
  • the roof or cladding formed by the juxtaposition of corrugated sheets, in particular fiber cement or a similar material, a cover or an apparatus being fixed on the top of the roofing or cladding, without drilling said plates is characterized in that the cover or the apparatus is fixed (e) by means of a plurality of support plates disposed on the lateral side of at least one corrugated plate and connecting means provided between each plate and the cover or the apparatus, each support plate being disposed on the lateral edge of a corrugated plate between at least two successive wave peaks thereof, each support plate having at least two parallel nesting slots in the manner of a comb on the edge of the edge of the plate at the vertices of the waves.
  • the invention therefore consists in providing and mounting on the corrugated sheets of a roof of a cladding or similar element of construction, in particular on the banks at the lateral ends of these plates, support plates which nest on these banks in the manner of a comb, the slots of the same plate in engagement with two successive waves of the same plate, realizing a perfect immobilization of this plate, on which can then be provided the means for fixing the cover or devices, applied on or under the roof or cladding.
  • each plate is made of metal or plastic.
  • each support plate is formed of a plate of generally rectangular shape, having along its length a central portion which extends between at least the two successive waves of at least one corrugated plate, and two end portions, separated from the central portion by the interlocking slots, these slots, which extend parallel to the small width of the wafer, being limited, so that the edge of the edge of the corrugated plate, which enters these slots, abuts on the bottom thereof, when the plate is placed on the plate.
  • the plate of the plate has four slots, two by two parallel, and forming two pairs of slots disposed respectively close to each lateral end of the wafer, each pair of slots being nested on the top of a wave of the corrugated plate.
  • the ends of the wafer are curved so as to fit underneath the shape of the top of the wave of the corrugated plate on which it fits, in order to stabilize the plate and thus to distribute the forces which she supports.
  • the plate comprises in its surface at least one and preferably one plurality of holes, particularly in the central portion of the wafer for mounting dowels extending perpendicularly to the plate, for fixing the cover on the roof.
  • each corrugated plate of the roof comprises in its opposite and parallel edges two plates facing one another, on which is mounted a rail extending transversely between the two plates in the hollow which separates the two waves on which are fixed these plates, the rail cooperating with a set of studs adapted to allow the attachment of the cover according to a layout comprising as many points distributed along the length of this rail.
  • the plate has a continuous surface adapted to receive a bonding material for the cover applied to the corrugated sheets of the roof.
  • the support plates do not prejudge in any way the structure of the cover, which may be constituted in particular by a layer of an insulating material, in particular formed of juxtaposed panels, of a thermally insulating material of the polyurethane foam type or blocks of expanded polystyrene.
  • a layer is generally itself covered with a sealing coating, based on bitumen, cast in situ or reported in the form of unwrapped strips and bonded to the insulating layer.
  • the cover fixed on the roof via the support plates may be constituted by a metal element, in particular to form the ridge area of the roof, or a rigid frame for receiving a grating or a passage way , or any other apparatus or accessory punctually attached to the corrugated plate elements.
  • the device does not prejudge the orientation of the plates corrugated, which can be arranged vertically, the cover applied against these plates with the aid of this device forming in this case a wall cladding cladding.
  • the reference numeral 1 denotes a conventional corrugated plate made of cement fibers or a polyester resin, or even any other similar material, intended to constitute with other adjacent plates (not shown), the roof of any building.
  • the roof of corrugated sheets in order to constitute an appropriate separation between the interior and the exterior of the building, it is generally necessary for the roof of corrugated sheets to be provided with a covering which is applied to its upper external surface, this cover consisting of by one or more layers of one or more materials having insulating properties and capable of forming a tight coating, in particular to prevent water infiltration through the roof, particularly in the regions where the various corrugated plates are adjacent, possibly overlapping each other on their adjacent edges.
  • this blanket of insulation and / or protection is firmly linked to the corrugated plate roof, so as to prevent it from separating from it, including the effects of tearing due in the wind.
  • the present invention therefore relates to a support plate may be associated with a roof or cladding of the kind in question, to ensure the attachment and fixing rigid and secure coverage or various devices, avoiding any drilling corrugated plates.
  • the fixing device is constituted by a plate 2 which, in this embodiment is in the form of a plate 3 of generally rectangular shape, adapted to fit laterally on the bank 4 of at least one corrugated plate 1, immobilizing closely relative thereto.
  • the plate 2 made of stamped metal or, where appropriate, of molded rigid plastic, of the armed or non-reinforced polyester resin type, comprises in this example four slots, respectively 5 and 6 on the one hand, and 7 and 8 on the other hand, these slots extending parallel to the short sides of the rectangular plate, from one of its longitudinal sides of greater length 9, without going to the opposite side 10.
  • Each pair of slots, 5, 6 on the one hand, 7, 8 on the other hand, thus delimit two tabs, respectively 11 to the right of the first pair, 12 to the right of the second, these tabs being arranged so as to be able to slip under the corrugated plate 1, substantially at the neighboring vertices 13 and 14 of two successive corrugations of this plate, the plate 2 is thus fitted laterally on the edge 4 of the plate until it abuts against the closed end of the four slots.
  • the plate 2 is thus put in place, has in its central portion 17, a plurality of holes 18, for mounting suitable fastening means for the cover applied to the corrugated sheets of the roof, this cover not shown in Figures 1 and 2, but shown in Figures 3 and 4 in particular.
  • the cover disposed on the corrugated plates 1 is designated as a whole by the reference 19, this cover being constituted by a first layer 20 of a thermal insulating material, for example formed of a plastic material of polyester or polyurethane type, itself covered with a waterproof coating 21, avoiding any water infiltration towards the roof.
  • a thermal insulating material for example formed of a plastic material of polyester or polyurethane type
  • the cover 19 is secured to the roof by means of the plate 2, preferably also by means of two plates of this type mounted facing the ends of the corrugated plate 1 considered, in line with the same vertices 13 and 14 of two successive undulations of the latter.
  • This arrangement makes it possible in particular to associate with the two plates 2 thus mounted on each side of a plate, a common rail 22 which extends transversely above the plate in the recess 23 formed between the two vertices 13 and 14.
  • each of the two plates 2 can thus be secured to the rail 22 which extends between them, by means of a stud 24 which extends perpendicular to the central portion 17 of the plate and which passes through the insulating layer 20 of the cover 19.
  • the stud 24 may be in the form of a rod comprising a threaded end 25, which cooperates with one of the holes 18 provided in the central portion 17 of the plate and tapped for this purpose, the other end of the rod comprising a head 26 coming to press the layer 20 against the roof according to the screwing of the stud.
  • the threaded end 25 of the rod can cooperate with a nut allowing the same way the screwing of the rod and the immobilization of the cover 19.
  • the rail 22 may have any suitable shape, as long as it extends longitudinally in the recess 23 between the two plates, this rail can be associated with as many studs 24 fixing the cover 19, distributed according to its length, the immobilization of the cover 19 can thus, by making a suitable choice for the positioning of the plates and the rails which are integral with them, allow a calepinage best suited to obtain a setting up and a perfect maintenance of this cover.
  • the sealing liner 21 may then be placed on the insulating layer 20. Where appropriate, when the layer and its coating are previously made and fixed to each other, the studs 24 may pass through this coating, the head 26 studs leaning on the top of the latter.
  • the rail 22 is in the form of a closed box, which makes it possible to keep the screw-retained fastening nut, if applicable, free from water infiltration. threaded end 25 of the studs 24.
  • the support plate 2 nested in exactly the same manner as that already described on a lateral edge 4 of the plate 1, is secured to the cover 19 by means of an adhesive joint 27, disposed between the upper surface of the plate and the lower face of the layer 20, this bond may in some cases be strictly equivalent to the mechanical fastening by studs or the like envisaged in the previous variant.
  • the shape of the plate 2 is slightly different, the central portion 17 thereof being slightly lowered to be substantially in the recess 23 between the vertices 13 and 14 of two successive corrugations of the plate 1.
  • connection of the central portion 3 with the tongues 11 and 12, to the right of the slots 6 and 7, is effected by means of extensions 28 and 29, which follow the outer curve of the corrugations in the areas thereof facing, allowing a better support of the plate 2 on the corrugated plate 1.
  • the plate 2a is arranged to extend transversely over a larger number of successive corrugations of the plate 1, this plate comprising, as in the previous example, pairs of slots 5 and 6, 7 and 8 which, two by two, fit on these undulations according to the longitudinal dimension of the plate.
  • the plate In each central part 17 of the latter, separated by the tongues 11 and 12, the plate comprises fixing holes 18, as in the variant of FIG. 2.
  • FIG. 8 shows another way of fixing the cover 19 when, in particular, the thermal insulation layer 20 consists of contiguous blocks, such as 20a and 20b, respectively comprising in their adjacent sides, respectively, a protrusion 30 coming to be arranged. in a recess 31, so as to juxtapose suitably on the top of the roof formed with the corrugated plates 1.
  • the fixing of the insulating layer 20 by means of a stud 24 may advantageously be achieved by using an L-shaped connecting piece 32, of which a vertical branch 33 is housed between the two blocks 20a and 20b. the other branch 34 applying against the central portion 17 of the plate 3 constituting the support plate 2.
  • the connecting piece 32 may in particular be secured by its branch 34 of the plate 2 by means of a rivet 35 or the like.
  • Figures 9 and 10 further illustrate other variants for the fixing stud 24, Figure 10 showing the use of a nut 36 and a plate 37 mounted under the head 26 of the stud to complete the effort of application applied on the roof against the corrugated sheets of the roof.
  • Figures 11 and 12 illustrate an embodiment wherein the support plate 2 is more specifically adapted to particularly take wind straining efforts. These forces, transmitted from the plate 2 to the corrugated plate 1, are distributed over the entire surface of the tabs 40, 41 of the plate 2 in contact with the corrugated plate 1. In the opposite direction, the forces due to the weight, transmitted from the platinum 2 to the corrugated plate 1, are concentrated on a smaller surface, close to the slots 38, 39.
  • FIGS. 11 and 12 illustrate an embodiment where the support plate 2 is more particularly adapted to be mounted in a zone of edges where two corrugated plates, respectively 1a and 1b, overlap each other, in particular in their adjacent edges according to FIG. extent of the roof.
  • the plate 2 may have, in the vicinity of the side edges of the wafer 3, only two slots 38 and 39, defining with the central portion of the plate of the curved end tongues 40 and 41 which are placed under one or the other of the two plates la and 1b, right of the vertices of two successive waves where these plates overlap each other.
  • a device for supporting and attaching a protective or insulating cover, attached and fixed on a set of corrugated plates which is of great simplicity, while providing a particular efficiency for the required function.
  • the assembly is easy to set up or remove, and above all requires no drilling to be performed in the plates themselves, which also has the advantage of making it very easy to adapt the device of the invention to roofs already existing, while distributing without limitation the necessary fixing points according to the extent of the surface to be covered.
  • cover reported and fixed on the corrugated plates is arbitrary, and may in particular be made in the form of a supporting framework on which a suitable grating or decking is then installed, or still be formed of any apparatus or accessory.
  • the fixing device is not limited to its application to a roof itself, but can adapt in the same way to a wall surface, vertical or not, the reported cover constituting in this case a cladding of protection.
  • this device can allow the attachment, in particular in a substantially vertical plane, or more generally the attachment, of any type of device that can be attached to a roof or a cladding, such as for example an antenna, an extractor ventilation, a suspended ceiling, a shelf ..
