Gelenkarm-Markise umfassend wenigstens zwei Gelenkarme (1), wobei jeder Gelenkarm (1) einen inneren und einen äußeren Gelenkarm-Abschnitt (2, 3) aufweist, die über ein Gelenk (4) mit einer im wesentlichen vertikalen Schwenkachse miteinander verbunden sind, wobei der äußere Gelenkarm-Abschnitt (3) jedes Gelenkarmes (1) im Bereich seines äußeren Endes über ein Gelenk (9) mit im wesentlichen vertikaler Schwenkachse (10) mit einem Ausfallprofil (11) verbunden ist, wobei das lagerseitige innere Ende jedes inneren Gelenkarm-Abschnitts (2) über ein Gelenk (5) mit im wesentlichen vertikaler Schwenkachse (6) mit einer gebäudeseitigen Lagerung verbunden ist, wobei an jedem Gelenkarm (1) ein Kippgelenk (7) um eine horizontale Schwenkachse vorgesehen ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Gelenkarm-Abschnitte (2) und Gelenke (5, 9) derart dimensioniert und positioniert sind, daß auf eine quer verschiebbar gelagerte Kippwelle (12) eine Querkraft parallel zum Ausfallprofil (11) bzw. zur Gebäudewand ausgeübt wird, wenn das Ausfallprofil (11) eingefahren wird, daß das die lagerseitige Kippwelle (12) gegen die Kraft einer Feder (18) in Richtung der Querkraft verschiebbar gelagert ist, daß eine in Abhängigkeit von dieser Verschiebung aktivierbare und deaktivierbare Kupplung (10) derart vorgesehen ist, daß bei eingefahrenem Ausfallprofil (11) und dementsprechend die Kraft der Feder (18) übersteigender Querkraft die Kupplung (19) ausgekuppelt ist und ein Verschwenken der Kippwelle (12) um eine horizontale Schwenkachse (15) ermöglicht und bei ausgefahrenem Ausfallprofil (11) die Kupplung (19) eingekuppelt ist und das Verschwenken blockiert.
