Abstract

A blind (10) having a canvas (12) which can be wound up exhibits two guide rails (14), which are arranged approximately vertically to the side of said canvas, and lever arms (22) which can be displaced along said guide rails and, on the one hand, are guided in the respective guide rail (14) and, on the other hand, are connected to the end of the canvas, and by means of which the canvas (12) is additionally held such that it can pivot about a stop (16) assigned to the respective guide rail (14). Upon reaching the position pivoted approximately vertically downwards around the stop (16), the lever arms (22) are secured against rotation by in each case one device (30) which locks automatically and, when the canvas (12) is moved upwards, automatically unlocks preferably in the same position. In this arrangement, the respective device (30) comprises a pawl (33), which is rotatably mounted in a guide element (20) of the lever arm (22) and has an axis of rotation which runs perpendicularly with respect to the guide rail (14), and further comprises a stop surface (24') on the steering lever (24). Upon lowering the canvas (12) and once the respective lever arm (22), upon the downward pivoting of the same, has reached the vertically downwardly directed position, the pawl (33), as a result of the rotation effected by the gravitational force and by its axis of rotation (38) offset with respect to the centre, locks automatically with the likewise vertically downwardly pivoted steering lever (24), in that, by means of one end (34), it engages around the stop surface (24') of said steering lever (24). Additionally provided for the respective lever arm (22) is a steering lever (24) which is guided in an articulated manner and is articulated on said lever arm (22), on the one hand, and is vertically adjustable on the guide rail (14), on the other hand. Said blind (10) according to the invention ensures absolutely satisfactory functioning of the same, even in the case of unfavourable conditions, and the abovementioned locking achieves, for the same, full stabilisation. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a store with a windable cloth, two laterally to that approximately vertically arranged guide rails and along the latter movable lever arms, which are guided on the one hand in the respective guide rail, on the other hand connected to the cloth end and by means of which the cloth additionally by one of the respective guide rail associated stop is pivotally held.

In a generic store or awning according to DE-A-33 44 359 two vertical and spaced-apart guide rails are also provided, which are attached to a wall or the like of a building on both sides of a window and in which one drop arm can be swiveled and slidably mounted in it. These extension arms are connected at the other end to a drop rail holding an awning fabric on its front edge. When the awning cover is unwound, these drop arms, which run vertically upwards in the retracted position, come into engagement with a stop device arranged on the guide rail, which essentially consists of a rack section running parallel to the guide rail, on which a gearwheel segment provided on the drop arm end rolls and is thus effected that the extension arm is additionally pivoted by 180 ° and thus the fabric, which is also pivoted outwards, provides maximum shade, for example, in the position pivoted out by 90 °, without it having to be completely lowered, with the purpose that there is still a clear view outside exists. After the extension arms have reached a vertically downward position when swiveling down, they can be pushed down to an end position. It is disadvantageous here that the cloth is not stabilized in the event of wind and the forces acting on the cloth and thus on the lever arms can lead to vibrations and thus damage to the same. During the subsequent lifting, these drop arms come back into engagement with the rack sections of the anchor devices and are pivoted up accordingly. The engaging teeth form a lever arm to the pivot axis of the extension arm, which arm is very minimal and, as a result, the practical application of such an awning can cause the extension arm to jam, whether at the start of the pivoting downwards or upwards. In addition, due to the small lever arm, enormous bending forces arise on the teeth of the gearwheel segment, which engage with the toothed rack section, which can lead to the latter breaking away quickly. A tooth is assigned to the toothed rack section below the teeth, which cooperates with a cam track on the underside of the associated drop arm, such that when the drop arm, which is folded down essentially vertically, is pivoted out by a predetermined angle when it comes into engagement with the first tooth . However, despite this additional cam track, this pulling up can lead to the fact that the drop arm is additionally bent by the wind forces acting on the cloth in such a way that a perfect interlocking of these teeth is made impossible. Also a bias generated by coil springs on the extension arms, which cause a downward force on the latter, cannot overcome the above-mentioned disadvantages of this awning.

Because of the above-mentioned disadvantages, it is an object of the present invention to develop a store or awning of the type described at the outset in such a way that, with a simple construction, it is absolutely stable in any position of the fabric and, at the same time, trouble-free operation is ensured even under unfavorable conditions.

The object is achieved according to the invention in that the lever arms are secured against rotation upon reaching the position pivoted approximately vertically downward by the stop by means of an automatically locking device and preferably automatically unlocking in the same position when the cloth is raised.

In this way it is optimally achieved that the store can be lowered down to a lower stop after pivoting in the downward position of the lever arms, but that the store is completely stabilized by this anti-rotation device according to the invention and therefore no noise-causing vibrations occur even with wind.

Another significant advantage is that when the cloth is pulled up, the respective lever arm is absolutely fixed until the stop is reached and only when it is securely locked in the pivot bearing when the stop is reached does the lever arm swivel around after the device has been automatically unlocked Stop and can then be swung up completely.

The initiation of the swinging out when lowering from the approximately vertical position of the lever arm as well as the initiation when pulling up the cloth is advantageously carried out by means of cooperating stop surfaces provided on the stop and on the lever arm, while the subsequent further pivoting of the lever arm by one of the stop arm and the stopper formed and in Interfering rotary bearing that is concentric to the swivel axis takes place.

Fig. 1 shows a store 10, which consists essentially of a windable and unwindable cloth 12, two laterally arranged approximately perpendicular to this guide rails 14, each in this sliding lever arm 22, each with this rotatably connected steering lever 24 and from a stop 16 exists. Furthermore, a roller 17 arranged transversely between the guide rails 14 is provided, which is rotatably held in guide elements 26 which slide in the guide rails 14 on both sides, wherein in the latter likewise a steering lever 24 articulated with its other end on the lever arm 22 is rotatably mounted. In the position shown, the lever arm 22 is pivoted out approximately 90 ° and the cloth 12 guided at its end is guided back to the roller 17 at the height of the guide rails 14 and from there vertically upwards, where it is expediently not by another shown role up or. can be developed. This role can be rotated either by hand using a crank mechanism or by an electric motor or the like. The store 10, for example arranged in front of a window, on the one hand offers optimal shade for the interior in the position shown and on the other hand there is nevertheless a clear view to the outside. The store 10 can also be fully lowered to cover the entire window, which is described in detail below.

The function of the pivoting of the lever arm 22 around the stop 16 is particularly illustrated in FIG. The stop 16 can be adjusted along the rear side of the guide rail 14 and can be fastened to this guide rail 14 at the most favorable height, depending on the application, by means of screws or the like. Changes in position of this stop 16 can therefore be made easily during or after assembly. Care must be taken that the stops 16 assigned to the two guide rails 14 are at the same height. The respective stop 16 has a bracket 18 arranged at a distance from the inside of the guide rail 14 and a pivot 19 extending on the latter perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the guide rail 14 and against it, which together with a groove 22 ′ of the lever arm 22 encompassing it forms a rotary bearing , the axis of rotation of which is arranged concentrically to the roller 22 ″ sliding in the guide rail 14, about which the lever arm 22 is pivotally held. The roller 22 ″ is a component of the guide element 20 attached to the end of the lever arm 22, in which the groove 22 ′ and also the device 30 serving to lock the lever arm 22 are integrated. The rotary bearing formed by the groove 22 'and the pivot pin 19 of the stop 16 causes the lever arm 22 and the rod 27 connected to it and holding the cloth 12 practically from its vertical upward to the vertical downward during pivoting about this stop 16 downward position is positively guided and therefore remains absolutely stable in the respective position even when wind occurs. This is also achieved to a greater extent by the steering lever 24 rotatable about the guide element 26, which at the other end supports the lever arm 22 as an additional guide member.

Somit ist der Hebelarm auch in dieser Stellung fixiert.3 shows the lever arm 22 in the approximately vertically upward position in which it is presented when the cloth 12 is retracted. He then remains in this position when the cloth 12 is lowered until the stop surface 20 'of the guide element 20 located at its lower end abuts the upper stop surface 16' of the stop 16, as is indicated by the dash-dotted representation of the guide element 20. At the same time, the groove 22 'engages in the pivot 19 of the stop 16. As soon as the latter is also present in the rounding of the groove 22 ' the lever arm 22 is rotated in particular by the dead weight generated by the roller 17 and by the bar 27 holding the cloth 12 and attached to the other end of the lever arm 22. As can be clearly seen from this Figure 3, due to the distance between the axis of rotation of the lever arm 22 and its stop surface 20 ', a torque with which the pivoting of the lever arm 22, which is already somewhat slanted in the initial position with respect to the perpendicularly running guide rail 14, occurs without problems can be initiated. This distance, which is described in more detail above, is preferably between two and ten centimeters, and of course depends on the other dimensions of the store. Here too there is a further advantage of the invention in that this distance can be adapted to any specific application without major design changes. After the lever arm 22 has only been rotated by a few degrees, it can no longer move relative to the pivot 19, but can only rotate about it. As a result, the lever arm and with it the cloth is held securely even in this pivotable area and it is consequently ensured that the store can withstand the wind and that it cannot disengage from the above-mentioned pivot point. Otherwise, the steering lever 24 is located parallel behind the lever arm 22 in the position shown. It has a stop surface 24 ′ against which a bolt 28 protruding on the lever arm 22 is prevented, by means of this arrangement the lever arm 22 is prevented from pivoting backwards can and besides it is pressed by the cloth 12 against the stop surface 24 '. The lever arm is thus also fixed in this position.

Here, the locking of the lever arm 22 and the steering lever 24 effected by the device 30 according to the invention is shown. For this purpose, this device 30 is assigned a pawl 33 rotatably mounted in the guide element 20 with an axis of rotation 38 running perpendicular to the guide rail 14 and a stop surface 24 'on the steering lever 24, in which the pawl 33 has the stop surface 24' with its one end 34. engages and thus a locking of the steering lever 24 and the lever arm 22 connected to it is reached.

When the lever arm 22 is pulled up by the cloth 12, the lever arm initially remains in a vertical position together with the steering lever 24. Now when the guide element 20 approaches the stop 16, the pawl 33 is first turned by striking one end 35 of the stop 16 and the other end 34 is thereby released from the stop surface 24 'of the steering lever 24. Then comes the Stop surface 20 "of the guide element 20 in contact with the lower surface 16" of the stop 16. At the same time, the groove 22 'engages in the pivot 19 of the stop 16 and as soon as the latter is also present in the rounding of the groove 22', the lever arm 22 is pivoted out. Even with this unlocking, it is once again guaranteed that even with strong winds, an inevitable opening of the guide element into the pivot is fully guaranteed.

If the lever arm 22 reaches this vertical position when the cloth 12 is lowered after it has been pivoted away, it is secured against further rotation by means of a stop surface 44 on the guide element 20 and the pawl 33 automatically locks with the steering lever 24 due to gravity and the offset pivot point the pawl 33 caused the same to twist. The said locking takes place immediately upon reaching the vertical position of the steering lever 24.

From an aesthetic point of view, a profile extending parallel to and over the entire length of the guide rail 14 and surrounding the latter could be provided, in which the stop could also be fastened at any point together with the pivot.

For the locking of the lever arms holding the cloth, of course, another device could also be provided in which, for example, the latch mechanism directly holds the lever arm.
