Description

The invention relates to an awning with an awning fabric and an awning roller, onto which the awning fabric can be rolled up, with awning arms and with awning legs which can be stowed inside the awning roller. Such awnings are already known. For example, the DE 20 2014 104 014 U1 such an awning. Also the DE 20 2010 008210 U1 shows such an awning. In this awning, the awning arms are connected to the awning roller by means of a double linkage, namely by means of a swivel joint, which in turn is rotatably arranged on the awning roller.

The invention has set itself the task of creating an awning of this type in which the stability is improved. This object is achieved by the awning reproduced in claim 1.

The awning according to the invention has an awning fabric. The awning also has an awning roller, which has a longitudinal extension and onto which the awning fabric can be rolled up. Awning arms and awning legs each having a longitudinal extension are provided. The awning arms and legs can be stowed inside the awning roll. The awning arms have a flattened cross-section, with a longer dimension and a shorter dimension. The longer dimension is preferably perpendicular to the shorter dimension. The longer dimension is preferably the longest dimension of the cross section. Fastening means are provided for fastening the awning arms to the awning roller. The fastening means comprise a swivel joint, by means of which the awning arms can be swiveled relative to the awning roller, preferably about a pivot axis running perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the awning arms. The fastening means also include a swivel arm joint, by means of which the awning arms can be rotated about an axis of rotation parallel to their longitudinal extension. This creates a prerequisite for the awning arms in the awning roller can be arranged next to the awning legs so that they can make the best possible use of the space available in the awning roller, can be conveniently moved out of and into the awning roller and in the built-up position State can be arranged in their ideal rotational position against vertical deflection. The smallest possible vertical deflection can have a positive effect on the compressive strength of the awning arms in the direction of their longitudinal extension. In this way, a higher tension can be achieved in the awning fabric.

The pivot axis of the swivel joint preferably always runs perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the awning arms and more preferably always perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the awning roller.

For the best possible use of the space available in the awning roller, the awning arms can for example be shaped and arranged next to an awning leg in the awning roller that their cross section together with the cross section of the leg corresponds approximately to the cross section of the cavity of the awning roller.

The flattened cross section preferably causes a geometrical moment of inertia - preferably an axial geometrical moment of inertia - which depends on the rotational position of the awning arms, preferably in such a way that the greatest axial geometrical moment of inertia is achieved in exactly one rotational position and a smaller axial geometrical moment of inertia is achieved with a rotational position of the awning arms rotated by 90 ° . In other words, when the awning arms are aligned horizontally with their longitudinal extension, they have a different height around their longitudinal extension depending on the rotational position, so that their resistance to vertical deflection depends on this rotational position.

The awning roller is preferably hollow, particularly preferably tubular. The awning roller preferably has at least approximately a hollow cylindrical shape, preferably with a circular base area. The awning roller can comprise aluminum. The same applies preferably to the awning arms and / or awning legs.

In the stowed state of the awning, the awning arms are preferably arranged with their longitudinal extension parallel to the longitudinal extension of the awning roller. In the assembled state of the awning, the longitudinal extension of the awning arms preferably runs at least approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the awning roller.

The pivot joint preferably comprises two pivot joint parts connected to one another in a pivotable manner. One of these swivel joint parts preferably comprises a fork which particularly preferably forms the swivel joint part facing the respective awning arm. The other swivel joint part preferably comprises a projection which can preferably also be referred to as a tab and which more preferably has a bore. The projection is preferably arranged in the fork and furthermore preferably forms the swivel joint part facing the awning roller. The pivot joint further preferably comprises a pivot joint pin which particularly preferably defines the pivot axis and preferably connects the fork with the projection.

The awning arms and / or awning legs are preferably arranged securely on the awning roller, preferably even after they have been taken out of the awning roller for the purpose of building the awning. The awning arms and / or awning legs are preferably arranged inseparably on the awning roller. The awning arms and / or awning legs are preferably designed telescopic.

The awning can preferably be brought into a stowed state in which it can be stowed in a space-saving manner. In the stowed state, the arms and legs are preferably arranged in the awning roller. An awning arm can preferably be stowed next to an awning leg in the awning roller. In order to make the best possible use of the space in the awning roll, the awning arm can be stowed in the awning roll so that an imaginary extension of the shorter dimension of its cross-sectional area runs through the awning leg. The cross-sectional area of the awning arm can be approximately semicircular. It is preferably approximately semicircular, with a flattening lying opposite the straight line which separates the semicircular shape from the imaginary full circular shape.

The awning leg also preferably has a flat cross section, with a longer dimension and a shorter dimension perpendicular thereto. The cross-sectional area of the awning legs can be similar or identical to the cross-sectional area of the awning arms.

Fastening means can be provided for fastening the awning legs to the awning roller, which can be designed like the fastening means of the awning arms. In the stowed state of the awning, the fastening means of the awning arms and / or the awning legs are preferably arranged in the awning roller.

The awning arms and awning legs can preferably be stowed in the awning roller in such a way that the pivot axes of their pivot joints run parallel to one another. As a result, they can preferably conveniently be pivoted in the same direction - for example downwards - after being taken out of the awning roller, without interfering with one another.

In the context of this document, the term “running parallel to one another” preferably denotes both congruence and also running parallel to one another at a distance.

The awning arms and / or awning legs can preferably be stowed in the awning roller in such a way that the shorter dimensions of their cross-sections run parallel to the pivot axis of their pivot joints.

The arm swivel joint allows the awning arms to rotate about the axis of rotation parallel to their longitudinal extension, regardless of the swiveling of the swivel joint. The arm swivel joint therefore preferably also allows the awning arms to rotate about the axis of rotation parallel to their longitudinal extension when the awning arm has been pivoted relative to the awning roller - for example such that the longitudinal extension of the awning arms is at least approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the awning roller .

The arm pivot allows the arm to rotate relative to its pivot joint. The arm swivel joint preferably comprises a rotationally symmetrical projection which is further preferably rotatably arranged in a recess complementary thereto. The arm pivot joint preferably comprises two pivot joint parts rotatably connected to one another. One of these swivel joint parts preferably comprises a rotationally symmetrical projection which further preferably forms the swivel joint part facing the awning roller. The other swivel joint part preferably comprises a recess, which is preferably complementary thereto. The projection is preferably rotatably arranged in the recess. The projection preferably defines the axis of rotation of the arm pivot joint. The recess preferably forms the swivel joint part facing the respective awning arm. The swivel arm joint preferably comprises a securing means, which more preferably secures that the projection remains in the recess. The securing means can also be referred to as a connecting means between the projection and the recess. The securing means preferably comprises a screw.

The arm pivot joint preferably has a rotation limiter. The rotation limitation preferably limits the rotatability of the two rotatably interconnected swivel joint parts. The rotation limitation preferably limits the rotatability of the two rotatably interconnected swivel joint parts to one Angular range that can be between 70 ° and 110 °. The rotation limiter preferably limits the rotatability of the two rotatably interconnected swivel joint parts to an angular range of approximately 90 °. The rotation limiter preferably comprises a stop surface arranged on one of the two rotatably interconnected swivel joint parts and a counterstop surface arranged on the other swivel joint part. The rotation limitation preferably effects a limitation in both directions of rotation. There are therefore preferably two stop surfaces and two mutually spaced counter stop surfaces.

The arm swivel joint preferably has a rotation lock. This preferably prevents unwanted turning. The rotation lock preferably comprises means for increasing and preferably maintaining rotational friction, which preferably occurs during rotation in the arm swivel joint. Advantageously, the rotation lock does not prevent rotation in the arm swivel joint, but preferably only increases the friction to be overcome here.

The means for increasing and preferably maintaining rotational friction preferably comprise a spring element. The spring element preferably ensures that a selectable contact pressure is maintained between the two rotatably interconnected swivel joint parts of the arm swivel joint even after numerous actuations of the arm swivel joint. The means for increasing and preferably maintaining rotational friction preferably comprise a spring element which preferably acts on the securing means. A washer can be provided between the spring element and the securing means.

The fastening means preferably have a swivel joint which allows the awning arms to rotate about an axis of rotation parallel to the longitudinal extension of the awning roller and is preferably referred to as a roller swivel joint in the context of this publication.

Preferably, both parts of the swivel joint that are connected to one another pivotably can each be rotated relative to adjacent parts by means of a swivel joint. Both parts are preferably pivotably connected to one another of the swivel joint parts of a swivel joint adjoining the swivel joint.

Preferably, the part of the swivel joint facing the awning roller is also part of the roller swivel joint. Preferably, that part of the swivel joint facing the awning arm is also part of the arm swivel joint.

The fastening means preferably allow the awning arms to be rotatable about three axes that are independent of one another, preferably relative to the awning roller.

The attachment of the awning arms to the awning roller preferably allows a rotation of the awning arms relative to the awning roller by all three rotational degrees of freedom.

The fastening means preferably comprise an element which is arranged in the manner of a piston which can be moved back and forth inside the awning roller. The swivel joint, the arm swivel joint and preferably also the roller swivel joint attach the awning arms to this element. The element embodied in the manner of a piston that can move back and forth inside the awning roller is preferably arranged in the awning roller so that it cannot rotate in relation to it.

The awning roller is preferably arranged on the front edge of the awning fabric in the unwinding direction of the awning fabric.

In principle, it is conceivable that the awning has articulated arms which, for example, have a pivot joint approximately halfway along its length. However, the arms of the awning are preferably not designed as articulated arms of this type. The awning arms and the awning legs are preferably designed to be telescopic.

The awning should preferably be opened manually. In the context of this document, this means in particular that it cannot be opened by cranking or by motor, but by unrolling the awning fabric by hand from the awning roller. This is preferably done by turning the awning roller while it is held in the hand.

Exactly one end piece can be arranged at each end of the roller awning. This end piece can close or reduce the gap between the awning arms and awning legs and the awning roller and therefore make it difficult for contaminants to penetrate the awning roller, as well as providing a sliding bearing for the awning arms and legs while they are being moved in or out of the awning roller. Each end piece preferably has an opening through which the arms and legs can be pushed back and forth, in particular during the erection or dismantling of the awning. The opening is preferably oval, particularly preferably elliptical. In one embodiment the awning is a pocket awning. So it does not have a housing, but can be stowed in a bag, which can preferably be attached to a camper van. In principle, it is also conceivable that the awning is a cassette awning and thus has a housing, for example made of aluminum, in which it can be stowed.

The exemplary embodiment of the awning according to the invention shown in the drawings and designated as a whole by 100 is a pocket awning. Such as Fig. 1 shows, the awning can be stowed in an awning pocket 20. The awning pocket 20 has a zipper for opening and closing. In the exemplary embodiments shown, the awning is arranged on a caravan 19.

Such as Fig. 1 shows, the awning 100 has two arms 3, 3 'and two legs 4, 4'. The arms 3, 3 'and legs 4, 4' are telescopic. The awning has an awning fabric 1. An awning roller 3 is arranged in the unwinding direction R on the front edge of the awning fabric 1 (see FIG Fig. 1 ).

Like that Figures 2 and 3 can be seen, exactly one arm 3 and one leg 4 can be stowed in one half of the hollow awning roller 2. So both awning arms and both awning legs can be stowed in the awning roll. For these reasons, the awning can be folded up to save space.

The awning arms 3, 3 'and awning legs 4, 4' are permanently attached to the awning roller 2 by means of fastening means 5.

At each end of the awning roller 2, an end piece 21 is arranged, which provides a sliding bearing for the awning arms 3, 3 'and awning legs 4, 4' during the in- or cause shifting out of the awning roller 2. Each end piece 21 has an opening through which the arms and legs can be pushed back and forth, in particular during the erection or dismantling of the awning. The opening is elliptical.

Approximately Figure 4a shows that the awning arms 3, 3 'have a flattened cross section, with a longer dimension L and a shorter dimension K. perpendicular thereto. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the cross-sectional area A is approximately semicircular, with a flattening 18 compared to the approximate semicircular shape of an imaginary approximated full circular surface shape delimiting straight lines 17. A comparison of the Figures 2 and 3 with the Figures 1 and 4th shows that the awning arms 3, 3 'in the stowed state are arranged with their longitudinal extension LA parallel to the longitudinal extension LR of the awning roller 2, while in the assembled state the longitudinal extension LA of the awning arms 3, 3' is at least approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal extension LR of the awning roller 2 runs.

Figure 4b shows schematically the arrangement of an awning arm 3 next to an awning leg 4 in the awning roller 2. The cross section of the awning arm and awning leg are shown in this illustration for the sake of simplicity in a semicircular shape, without flattening. The end piece is also not taken into account for the sake of simplicity.

The fastening means 5 comprise a swivel joint 6, by means of which the awning arms 3, 3 ′ can be swiveled relative to the awning roller 2 about a swivel axis S running perpendicular to its longitudinal extension LA (see, for example, FIG Figures 4 and 5 ). In addition, the fastening means 5 comprise a swivel joint 7, by means of which the awning arms 3, 3 'can be rotated about an axis of rotation AD relative to the swivel joint 6, this axis of rotation running parallel to the longitudinal extension LA of the awning arms. The arm swivel joint 7 allows the awning arms 3, 3 'to rotate about the axis of rotation AD, which runs parallel to the longitudinal extension LA of the arms 3, 3', independently of the swiveling of the swivel joint 6.

Fig. 6 shows an awning arm 3 ′ in a rotational position rotated in the direction of arrow P by means of the arm pivot joint 7 about the rotational axis AD running parallel to its longitudinal extension LA. In the in Fig. 5 The rotary position shown, the awning arm 3 'can be stowed in the awning roller 2 together with the awning leg 4' to save space. In the in Fig. 6 Rotational position shown, its deflection is reduced due to the larger dimension L of its cross-sectional area A, which now runs at least approximately vertically.

The arm swivel joint 7 comprises a rotationally symmetrical projection 10 which is arranged in a recess 11 complementary thereto (see, for example Figures 7 and 8 ).

The swivel arm joint also comprises a securing means 14, which secures that the projection 10 remains in the recess 11.

To implement a rotation limiter 12, which limits the rotatability of the awning arm 3, 3 'in the illustrated embodiment by 90 °, a projection with two spaced-apart stop surfaces 12a is provided on one of the two rotatably connected swivel joint parts 7a and on the other swivel joint Part 7b are counter-stop surfaces 12a formed by a recess, of which in the drawings ( Fig. 7 ) only one is recognizable is provided.

To implement a rotation lock 13, means 15 are provided for increasing and maintaining rotational friction. These means 15 comprise a spring element 16 which acts on the securing means 14, which is designed as a screw. A washer 22 is provided between the spring element 16 and the securing means 14. Due to the spring element 16, a constant contact pressure is always present between the two rotatably interconnected arm / swivel joint parts 7a, 7b, which causes a selectable friction that prevents the awning arm 3 'from rotating back unintentionally from the in Fig. 6 vertical position shown in Fig. 5 shown horizontal position prevented.

About the Figures 5 and 6 also show that the fastening means 5 have a roller swivel joint 8 which allows the awning arms 3, 3 'to be rotated about an axis of rotation RD parallel to the longitudinal extension LR of the awning roller. It can also be seen that the two pivotably connected parts 6a, 6b of the pivot joint 6 each form a part of the two pivot joints adjoining the pivot joint 6 (namely arm pivot joint 7 and roller pivot joint 8).

The fastening means 5 therefore allow the awning arms 3, 3 'to rotate about three independent axes S, AD, RD, relative to the awning roller 2. The element 9 of the fastening means 5, which is arranged in the manner of a piston that can move back and forth inside the awning roller can be seen in FIGS. 5 and 6, for example. It can be designed to be rotationally fixed to the awning roller 2.
