  • Each trolley 5 also presents at its rear and/or front a plate 300 for closing the ports 40 of each chamber C' and C" to prevent, within the tunnel lower region A, air flows countercurrent to the direction of advancement of the material within the tunnel 2.
  • the drying fluid for example air heated to a temperature between 100°C and 180°C is fed, with reference to Figure 1, to those upper regions B corresponding to the six chambers C' and C" closest to the tunnel doors 21.
  • the fluid fed into that upper region B corresponding to the last tunnel chamber C' is directed by the four blower means 8 against the products 6, so that in passing through them it transfers heat to the products and absorbs a certain quantity of water in the form of steam.

  • the fluid passing from one chamber to the next transfers heat to the products and absorbs a quantity of water, to increase its water content and relative humidity, so that when the fluid finally grazes the products present in the initial tunnel chambers it has a relatively low temperature, generally between 40°C and 45°C, and a high relative humidity, close to 100%.
  • the drying effect of the fluid is less incisive and the quantity of water yielded by the material is less.
  • the invention uses the burners 12, which are positioned at those chambers C' close to the doors 20 through which the trolleys 5 enter the tunnel 2. Said burners 12 heat the drying fluid (air) to a temperature between 70°C and 75°C, without substantially changing its water content. In this manner the plant of the invention is able to remove from the material a water quantity between 40 and 50 g/m 3 of drying fluid fed into the tunnel, against the 20-25 g/m 3 of drying fluid in those plants of the known art.
  • the invention advantageously uses a smaller volume of drying fluid (air), so enabling a plant of smaller dimensions to be constructed, able to use drying fluid delivery fans and blower means less powerful than those used in plants of the known art, so resulting in considerable energy saving.

Claims (11)

  1. Installation de séchage continu de produits de briques creuses, comprenant un tunnel (2) possédant au moins une porte d'entrée (20) pour des chariots (5) portant les produits (6) à sécher, et au moins une porte de sortie (21) de ceux-ci, l'intérieur du tunnel (2) étant divisé en plusieurs chambres espacées (C' et C") dont l'une au moins est alimentée en un fluide de séchage et l'une au moins comporte un dispositif d'aspiration du fluide, les chambres communiquant mutuellement par une ouverture (40) par laquelle les chariots (5) peuvent avancer, chacun de ces derniers ayant une plaque (300) de fermeture de l'ouverture (40), les chambres (C' et C") étant raccordées mutuellement par un conduit qui est délimité par un faux-plafond (3) du tunnel (2), au moins un dispositif à ventilateur (8) disposé d'un premier côté des produits (6) et destiné à diriger le fluide de séchage sur eux étant raccordé au conduit et associé à chaque chambre (C' et C"), le fluide de séchage étant extrait successivement de l'une des chambres et étant transporté vers la chambre suivante par l'intermédiaire du conduit,
       le dispositif à ventilateur (8) étant dirigé en alternance, dans les chambres successives (C' et C"), d'un premier côté des produits dans l'une des chambres et du côté opposé dans la chambre suivante, et
       dans chaque chambre (C' et C"), au moins un orifice (30) est formé dans le faux-plafond (3) pour la communication entre chaque chambre (C' et C") et le conduit au-dessus du faux-plafond (3), l'orifice (30) ayant une position telle que, pendant le fonctionnement de l'installation, l'air a tendance à remonter par l'orifice (30) vers le conduit après être passé à travers les produits.
  2. Installation selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend deux rangées de chariots (5).
  3. Installation selon la revendication 1, caractérisée par le positionnement alterné des dispositifs à ventilateur (8) dans les chambres successives (C' et C") sur les côtés du tunnel (2) et au centre du tunnel (2).
  4. Installation selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que le conduit comprend des déflecteurs (10) de rétrécissement placés au niveau des murs (4) qui séparent les chambres (C' et C") les unes des autres.
  5. Installation selon la revendication 4, caractérisée en ce que les déflecteurs de rétrécissement (10) sont disposés sur les côtés et au centre du conduit.
  6. Installation selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que les dispositifs à ventilateur (8) peuvent traverser dans chaque chambre (C' et C").
  7. Installation selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que les dispositifs à ventilateur (8) sont fixés à l'intérieur de chaque chambre (C' et C") et peuvent tourner autour de leur axe d'un angle prédéterminé.
  8. Installation selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce qu'un dispositif de chauffage au moins (12) du fluide de séchage est associé aux chambres (C' et C") qui sont proches de la porte d'entrée au moins (20).
  9. Installation selon la revendication 8, caractérisée en ce que le dispositif de chauffage au moins (12) est disposé dans le conduit.
  10. Installation selon la revendication 8, caractérisée en ce que le dispositif de chauffage au moins (12) est un brûleur.
  11. Installation selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que le fluide de séchage est l'air chaud.
