Definitions
- the invention relates to a window for space or Floor heaters with an open flame, made of transparent glass ceramic or heat-resistant glass and is curved.
- Room or floor heating devices with an open flame be it solid fuel devices or devices powered by gas or liquid fuel - apart from open fireplace arrangements - self-contained devices, which have a viewing window to observe the flame.
- the viewing window is part of a door that gives access to the inside of the device procured, for example to add solid fuel or ashes clear out.
- Temperatures are typically made from viewing windows accordingly heat-resistant glass or glass ceramic used, for example a Single-pane safety glass, which under the brand DURAX® as well as a Glass ceramic that has become known under the ROBAX® brand. This Viewing windows are mechanically held in a suitable manner in the heater.
- the known viewing windows either have a flat, flat viewing window or a uniaxially deformed lens in angled shape or with continuous or running radius on (DE 198 01 079 A 1).
- panes are small Shock resistance of the transparent glass ceramic due to the large areas.
- a disadvantage of all the shapes mentioned is the attachment, which is typical done with a frame that the screwed strips or brackets circumferential edges fixed. This requires an increased assembly effort.
- Flat visors often also show soot. This soot is often tried to avoid by an air curtain; thereby arise however, very high contact temperatures on the outside of the pane due to the increased oxygen input.
- the invention is based on the object, the one mentioned Form the viewing window so that it has increased shock resistance and opposite flat lenses have a lower contact temperature.
- This problem is solved on the basis of a viewing window for Room or floor heaters with an open flame, made of transparent Glass ceramic or temperature-resistant glass and is curved, according to the Invention in that the lens is shaped like a dome.
- Simple and quick assembly / disassembly of the lens on the heater is given according to a development of the invention if the scope of Lens holding elements of a bayonet-type closure for Active intervention with corresponding brackets attached to the heater are.
- a lens designed in this way can be used with the circumferential Holding elements first between the corresponding brackets on Heater used and then bayonet-like by means of a rotary movement fixed to the heater. This makes installation quick and easy possible.
- the glass used is preferably hard glass, especially a borosilicate glass Application that is a chemically resistant and thermally resistant device glass with high softening temperatures and a very small thermal Coefficient of linear expansion.
- thermally toughened soda-lime glass can be used that have comparable thermal properties.
- a glass ceramic is preferably used as the glass ceramic material, the high temperature resistant with very small thermal Expansion coefficient is.
- Such a glass ceramic is, for example Material that has become known under the ROBAX® brand.
- the temperature-resistant glass or glass ceramic can also be preserved the transparency should be colored.
- the lens can also be coated to increase functionality wear from oxidic, electrically conductive materials, especially one Layer reflecting infrared radiation.
- Figure 1 shows a viewing window 1 for (not shown) room or Open flame floor heaters such as fireplaces, stoves and the like made of transparent glass ceramic or temperature-resistant glass, preferably Tempered glass is made, and is shaped like a dome.
- the protuberance of the Viewing window 1 is outwards, i.e. directed into the room (to the right), whereas the open side of the bowl faces the flame.
- the viewing pane according to the invention with the wall thickness 2 preferably consists of temperature-resistant glass, preferably hard glass or glass ceramic with a correspondingly low coefficient of thermal expansion.
- hard glass is a chemically resistant and thermally resistant device glass with high softening temperatures and a thermal coefficient of linear expansion ⁇ ⁇ 6.10 -6 K -1 .
- Such tempered glass is typically borosilicate glass.
- glass ceramic is an inorganic melting product to understand with additions of nucleating agents, this initially when cooling Glass solidifies, but through a subsequent controlled thermal Treatment crystallized in different phases.
- this glass ceramic product is almost without exception a minimal thermal Coefficient of linear expansion characteristic.
- a thermally tempered soda-lime glass can also be used, that is easily deformable and particularly resistant to temperature shocks and mechanical loads.
- a refractory glass ceramic is preferably used as the glass ceramic material Application that has become known under the ROBAX® brand.
- the glass ceramic viewing panel extends the functionality also coated. For example, by applying oxidic, largely electrically conductive layers of infrared radiation reflected, i.e. the heat radiation and thus the contact temperature reduced, the high light transmission in the visible range, i.e. the visual transparency, remains guaranteed.
- a colored glass ceramic can also be obtained while maintaining visual transparency be used.
- the wall thickness 2 of the viewing window is typically in the range from 4 to 6 mm.
- connection of the viewing window made of tempered glass or glass ceramic metallic parts can be glued, clamped or screwed respectively.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 there is an example of a construction indicated that the advantage is a simple and quick assembly / disassembly of the Viewing panel on a heater 6, which has a door frame 5, allowed.
- This construction is designed in the manner of a bayonet lock and has a series of holding elements fastened to the periphery of the lens 1 4 for active intervention with corresponding brackets on the door frame 5 of the Heater on.
- the lens 1 can then with the extensive Holding elements 4 first between the corresponding brackets on Door frame of the heater inserted and then by means of a rotary movement can be fixed bayonet-like on the door frame of the heater. This is simple and quick assembly possible.
