Definitions
- the invention relates to a carbon holder arrangement intended for electric motors, comprising one made of electrically insulating material such as ceramic or plastic material existing carrier such as carrier plate with at least one of these out of metal existing quiver-shaped carbon brush holder, the inner surfaces at least in sections Guides of a carbon brush axially displaceable in the carbon brush holder are, in particular intended for a layered carbon brush, at least two opposite Have inner surfaces of the carbon brush holder electrically insulating material.
- Coal holder arrangements consist of a carrier plate made of plastic exist, on the case made of brass in particular as carbon brush guides are attached.
- the choice of material for the carbon brush guides ensures that the carbon brushes are precisely guided and therefore flat to the desired extent rest on a commutator or a slip ring (EP 0 291 765 A2, EP 0 655 169 B1, DE 36 29 634 C2).
- Coal holder arrangements made of plastic are known for layered carbon brushes.
- the carbon brush guides can be made of plastic to avoid that cross currents flow between the carbon bars separated by an insulating layer.
- Then, use of carbon brush guides made of plastic material the Disadvantage that the sections serving as guides are not exactly aligned with one another can be, so that it is not ensured that coal bars in the required Place the circumference flat on a collector. Rather, it can be said that at times only one of the layers touches the collector. However, this changes the interconnection angle a corresponding stratified carbon brush motor.
- a coal holder arrangement of the type mentioned at the outset is known from EP 0 358 812 A1 remove. All inner surfaces of the carbon brush holder are made of polytetrafluoroethylene coated. A carbon brush on its outer circumference is surrounded by insulation, can be found in DE 1 735 714 U1.
- the present invention is based on the problem of a carbon holder arrangement at the outset mentioned type so that it is inexpensive to manufacture and at the same time ensures that the carbon brush axially displaceable in the carbon brush holder, in particular Coating carbon brush is guided with sufficient accuracy so that the required contact to a collector or a slip ring.
- Using short-circuit carbon brushes can be avoided, i.e. a current flow between the carbon bars in the area of their long sides penetrated by the insulating layer be excluded.
- the problem is essentially solved in that the electrically insulating Material a covering the respective inner surface and in the carbon brush holder strip material to be used.
- a carbon brush holder made of metal can be used without the Use of carbon brushes to be used must be restricted. Rather there is without further ado the possibility of using layered carbon brushes in the carbon brush holders, without the risk of cross-circuits in the area of the long sides of the carbon brushes, that is, between the carbon bars, which are separated by an insulating layer.
- the strip material consisting of plastic material has a width that is equal to or approximately equal to the inner surface of the carbon brush holder, along which the cover extends.
- the strip material - also called cover below - can be cut with the carbon brush or the inner surface connected as glued.
- the cover is welded to the Komebürstenhatter, in particular ultrasonic welding is to be preferred.
- the wall of the carbon brush holder to be provided with the cover has at least one receptacle for engaging in this section of the cover facing away from the carbon brush.
- the receptacle can have an opening such as a hole and the one engaging in it Section be a knob like a cylindrical projection.
- the wall preferably has several shots and accordingly the cover several protrusions.
- the wall of the carbon brush holder designed to be electrically insulating or has a cover made of electrically insulating material on which the carbon brush can be supported with its insulating layer and slides, so there is easily the possibility that the carbon brush holder is completely or almost completely corresponding on the inside is trained.
- the carbon brush holder itself can be made of brass-brass-laminate-aluminum-zinc.
- FIG. 1 shows, in principle, a collector 10 with fins 12 of an electric motor, on which a carbon brush 14 is supported at a desired connection angle.
- the Carbon brush 14 is made of a conductive carbon brush holder 16 made of electrically conductive Material guided recorded, which in turn from a quiver-shaped Brush holder housing 18 is made of plastic material.
- Different designed carriers for Carbon brush holders are also possible, especially carrier plates with a central one Breakthrough which is penetrated by a shaft of an electric motor and on which preferably four carbon brush holders with carbon brushes arranged axially displaceably in these are arranged, as described in EP 0 291 765 A2, EP 0 655 169 B1 or DE 36 29 634 C2 is known.
- a corresponding carbon brush holder 16 is shown in perspective in FIG. 2 shown, which has in its transverse walls 20, 22 so-called spring bellies 24, 26 to a Take up spring element such as coil spring 28, the plastic or plastic coated metal can exist. In this respect, however, is based on well-known solutions directed.
- the carbon brush holder 16 is designed such that its longitudinal inner surfaces 30, 32 in their areas or surfaces that come into contact with the carbon brush 14 is electrically isolated. This can be done in that the inner surfaces 30, 32 completely or partly with a corresponding coating consisting of electrically insulating material are provided or are electrically insulating.
- the inner surface 30, 32 is preferably made of an electrically insulating material Material existing strips 34 covered, as is clear from FIG. 2.
- the one made of plastic material or other suitable electrically insulating material consisting of strips 34 on its carbon brush remote Surface 36 protruding nub-like projections 38 which like in corresponding recordings Engage holes 40 in the side wall 42, 44 of the carbon brush holder 16.
- the strip 34 can then optionally be glued to the inner surface 30, 32 or the wall 42, 44 or be welded in particular by means of ultrasound.
- a solution or construction in this regard is particularly for laminated carbon brushes 46 suitable, which consist of carbon bars 50, 52, which are mutually connected via an insulating layer 48 are separated, as shown in FIGS. 3 to 6.
- the carbon brush is supported 46 with their corresponding longitudinal surfaces 52, 54, 56, 58 each with one made of electrical insulating material existing cover 60, 62 of the inner surfaces of the longitudinal side walls 64, 66 of a carbon brush holder 68, the structure of which is in principle that of FIGS. 1 and 2 can correspond.
- FIG. 1 the embodiment of FIG.
- the covers exist 60, 62 made of electrically insulating strip material, which with the inner surfaces of the Longitudinal walls 64, 66 can be glued or welded. By this measure is ensures that a short circuit between the carbon bars 50, 52 in the area of their Longitudinal surfaces 52, 54, 56, 58 are omitted.
- Corresponding strip material 34 provided with knob-like projections 38, 74 has 5 on carbon brush holder, the knob-like projections 38, 74 pass through corresponding holes 76, 78 of the longitudinal side walls 64, 66.
- Fig. 6 is an enlarged section of another to be highlighted Embodiment of a carbon brush holder 80 shown, the longitudinal side wall 82nd is covered on the inside by an insulating layer 84 which corresponds to that previously explained Embodiments formed by, for example, strip material or a coating can be.
- the longitudinal side wall 82 and the cover 84 in the Area of the insulating layer 48 of the layered carbon brush 50 a slot or channel-shaped Recess 86, which extends to the carbon bars 50, 52.
- the edge regions of the carbon bars 50, 52 which directly adjoin the insulating layer 48 not in contact with the cover 84. This ensures that abrasion Do not collect coal dust directly between the coal bars 50, 52 and can deposit, which could otherwise lead to an undesirable short circuit.
