Claims (10)
- Luftfilter zur Filterung der Ansaugluft für Brennkraftmaschinen von Kraftfahrzeugen, mit einem Filtergehäuse (10), das einen mit einem Ansaugstutzen (14) verbundenen Lufteinlaß (11) und einen mit einem Ansaugrohr der Brennkraftmaschine verbindbaren Luftauslaß (12) sowie mindestens einen am Gehäuseboden (101) angeordneten Wasserablauf (18) aufweist, und mit einer im Filtergehäuse (10) zwischen Luftein- und -auslaß (11,12) angeordneten, austauschbaren Filtermatte (13), dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß im Filtergehäuse (10) stromaufwärts der Filtermatte (13) ein Wasserabscheider (19) angeordnet ist und in dem mindestens einen Wasserablauf (18) Mittel vorgesehen sind, die im Wasserablauf (18) einen Wasserfüllstand (23) von einer solchen Höhe ausbilden, daß der im Filtergehäuse (10) auf den Wasserablauf (18) wirkende Unterdruck kompensiert ist.
- Luftfilter nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Mittel zur Wasserfüllstandsausbildung ein von einer Ablauföffnung (22) im Filtergehäuse (10) sich fortsetzendes Ablaufrohr (21) aufweisen, in dessen Verlauf eine Schlaufe (24) oder eine mäanderförmige Schleife (25) ausgebildet ist.
- Luftfilter nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Mittel zur Wasserfüllstandsausbildung ein von einer Ablauföffnung (22) im Filtergehäuse (10) sich fortsetzendes Ablaufrohr (21) aufweisen, das in einem von der Ablauföffnung (22) abgekehrten Rohrabschnitt mit einer Verengung (26) seines lichten Durchmessers versehen ist.
- Luftfilter nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Mittel zur Wasserfüllstandsausbildung ein von einer Ablauföffnung (22) im Filtergehäuse (10) sich fortsetzendes Ablaufrohr (21) aufweisen, das auf der Innenseite eine große Oberflächenrauhigkeit (27) aufweist.
- Luftfilter nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Mittel zur Wasserfüllstandsausbildung ein von einer Ablauföffnung (22) im Filtergehäuse (10) sich fortsetzendes Ablaufrohr (21) aufweisen, das in seinem hohlen Innern mit einem saugfähigen Material (28) ausgefüllt ist.
- Luftfilter nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als saugfähiges Material ein Schwamm oder ein textiler Docht eingesetzt ist.
- Luftfilter nach einem der Ansprüche 2 - 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Ablaufrohr (21) als Schlauch ausgebildet ist.
- Luftfilter nach einem der Ansprüche 1 - 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Wasserabscheider (19) unter einem spitzen Winkel geneigt zur Achse des Lufteinlasses (11) des Filtergehäuses (10) angeordnet ist und von dem unterhalb der Filtermatte (13) liegenden Innenraum (16) des Filtergehäuses (10) einen vorderen Bereich (20) abtrennt, in dem der Lufteinlaß (11) und der Wasserablauf (18) angeordnet sind.
- Luftfilter nach einem der Ansprüche 1 - 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Wasserabscheider (19) als Gitter, vorzugsweise aus nicht rostendem Strickmetall, ausgebildet ist.
- Filter nach Anspruch 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Gittermaschen oder -waben eine Größe von etwa 0,8 x 1,6 mm aufweisen.
