Definitions

  • the present invention relates to structures for including the storage of artistic works such as paintings in museum reserves.
  • Museums generally include a part of exhibition in which some artistic works are highlighted, and a part of reserve in which a large number of works are stored between the periods of exhibition.
  • a first known solution is to store the works on the walls of a spare room, possibly providing an intermediate partition on which are also arranged works. According to this solution, if one has a piece of about 5 m by 5, the available space to receive works is about 69 m 2 .
  • a second known solution described in EP 0 600 506 A, in the same spare part of 5 m by 5, consists of storing the works on suspended grids arranged in a row of parallel vertical grids and each movable by horizontal translation in their plan, with a lower support wheel. One can thus move selectively a grid for the examination of the works it carries. In this way, the area available for receiving works is increased.
  • the grids are also arranged in a row of vertical grids parallel, and are movable not in their plane, but perpendicular to their plane, on mobile carts.
  • the grids are then used on both sides for the storage of artistic works, and it is considered that the available area is then increased to about 144 m 2 , always in a spare room of 5 m by 5.
  • EP 0 599 112 A discloses a display for ceramic tiles, comprising a frame with uprights, sleepers, and rectangular base, and tile support panels mounted rotatably 360 ° between upper and lower beams themselves pivoting on the frame.
  • Such a device is complex, by the presence of the pedestal frame, pivoting beams and hinge means of the panels, and it is not suitable for the support of works of art because there is a significant risk of shocks between a pivoting panel and objects held on adjacent panels.
  • a problem proposed by the present invention is to further increase the available space for the storage of artistic works in museum reserves, while ensuring the accessibility of the works and a sufficient distance to examine them, without requiring or allowing manipulation. likely to run the risk of degradation of the works.
  • the storage structure must be stable and autonomous, requiring a priori no attachment to a building, while being collapsible into a folded position compact.
  • Another object of the invention is to design such a storage structure which is particularly reliable, simple and inexpensive, so as to further reduce the cost of installation and use of the structure.
  • another object of the invention is to provide better protection for the works of art hanging on the storage structure.
  • protection must be provided against various types of nuisance, including shocks, vibrations, dust, humidity and water run-off.
  • Another subsidiary object of the present invention is to provide a possibility of adjustment of the articulated panels to receive objects thicker or thinner, without risk of contact or shock with objects of adjacent panels.
  • the adjustment must be made using simple tools such as a key, and without changing parts.
  • each hinged panel comprises a rolling member constituting a support means and capable of rolling on the ground according to a rolling surface with regular surface.
  • one of the end panels is fixed, permanently oriented according to the first limit orientation at approximately 45 ° with respect to the common link structure, and in permanent support on the ground.
  • the other panels are articulated.
  • the intermediate articulated panels are devoid of rolling members, and pivot being supported only on their respective axes of articulation. This reduces the vibrations caused by the rolling on the ground, which improves the protection of works of art. But it is preferable that the size of the structure is relatively small, to limit the weight supported by each point of support on the ground.
  • damped cylinders arranged to solicit smooth and smooth pivoting each panel articulated towards one and the other of its limiting orientations from a median orientation generally perpendicular to the common link structure.
  • the user can release the hinged panel as soon as it has exceeded the median orientation, and the hinged panel is placed itself, in a slow and cushioned movement, in its chosen limit orientation.
  • the end panels are solid, constituting cover walls for enclosing all the intermediate panels when the structure is in the folded position. This ensures an improved protection of works of art, protection against dust or other external pollutants.
  • the storage structure comprises panels consisting of one or more rigid rectangular frames surrounding and each retaining a grid.
  • the works can thus be fixed on the grid, at any desired location, by fasteners such as hooks or links.
  • An advantageous variant of this embodiment consists in replacing the grid by parallel slats held by the amounts of the panel frame.
  • the slats can be made for example of aluminum, and include perforations allowing the use of different systems for hanging works of art. Of interest is that the slats are easier to assemble and assemble in tight spaces for containing the storage structure.
  • An advantageous embodiment consists in replacing the grid by one or more perforated plates folded into crenels, held by the uprights and crosspieces of the panel frame.
  • the storage structure comprises panels consisting of a rectangular frame surrounding and holding horizontal shelves. We can then place the objects on the shelves.
  • each hinged panel is mounted on the common connecting structure by an upper pivot and a lower pivot, passing through respective upper and lower holes of the panel, at least one of the pivots being removably attached to the structure of common link.
  • the panels may be useful to provide means to prevent the objects stored on the panels may touch during the pivoting movements of the hinged panels.
  • the panels comprise, in their upper or peripheral zone and away from the hinge pins, abutment means to ensure sufficient clearance between the consecutive panels and thus prevent contact between the objects. they wear.
  • the peripheral frames of the consecutive panels are joined, with possible interposition of anti-shock seals.
  • the set of frames of the panels thus constitutes a dust-proof frame, which protects the works contained in the structure.
  • the walls of the extreme frames are then waterproof, or at least dustproof and breathable, for example made of a fiber material distributed under the Gore-Tex brand.
  • the vertical uprights of the panel frame may have parallel profiles defining successive or movable housings that can receive the central structure of panel grid or slats or perforated sheet, so that the user can choose the position of the central panel structure to define a free space of greater or lesser thickness on both sides of the panel to receive the objects.
  • the common connecting structure, on which the panels are articulated may advantageously comprise a generally rectangular frame with two uprights connected by two sleepers, the sleepers receiving the hinge means of the panels, and the common connecting structure resting on the floor by height adjustment means such as two screw jacks. This ensures the smoothest possible movement of the articulated panels, with a better stability of the structure.
  • FIG. 5 is firstly shown, illustrating in plan view a square-shaped building part 1, for example a museum reserve part, in which a storage structure according to one embodiment of the invention is adapted. .
  • the storage structure comprises articulated panels which are arranged in a first group of panels 2 and a second group of panels 3.
  • the first group of panels 2 is fitted in a first corner 4 of the room 1, while the second group of panels 3 is fitted in the opposite corner 5 of the room 1.
  • Each group of panels such as the first group of panels 2 comprises a plurality of panels such as panels 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25, generally rectangular, oriented vertically, and articulated according to a respective vertical axis of articulation 210, 220 , 230, 240 and 250, in the vicinity of a first vertical edge, to a common fixed structure 26 for pivoting between two limit orientations.
  • each panel 21-25 can rotate 90 ° between a first limit position parallel to a first wall 6 of the part 1, and a second limit position parallel to the second wall 7 of the part 1.
  • Objects such as artistic works, can be attached to both sides of the panels 21-25, or at least on their faces facing an adjacent panel.
  • the respective articulation axes 210-250 of the consecutive panels 21-25 are offset laterally, on the common fixed structure 26, by a distance. D chosen to allow the panels to rotate between the limit orientations without the objects they are touching.
  • FIG 1 illustrates in perspective the first group of panels. 2 according to a first embodiment.
  • Each panel such as panel 21 has a generally rectangular shape bounded by a first vertical edge 21a, a second vertical edge 21b, a lower horizontal edge 21c and an upper horizontal edge 21d.
  • the hinge axis 210 of the panel 21 is disposed in the vicinity of the first vertical edge 21a.
  • Each panel such as the panel 21 comprises, according to its lower horizontal edge 21c, a support wheel 21e disposed away from the axis of articulation 210 of the panel 21 and arranged to roll on the ground along a parallel axis of rotation 21f in the general plane of the panel 21 and to support the panel 21 in cantilever.
  • each panel such as the panel 21 consists of a rigid rectangular frame, two posts bordering the vertical edges 21a and 21b and two crosses bordering the horizontal edges 21c and 21d.
  • the frame surrounds a grid 21g constituting a mesh on which objects such as works of art may be suspended.
  • the frame can surround and hold horizontal shelves for supporting objects such as trinkets, vases or other artistic works.
  • the common fixed structure 26 includes a frame generally Rectangular two uprights 26a and 26b connected by two crosspieces 26c and 26d, optionally with an intermediate reinforcing member 26e when necessary.
  • the crosspieces 26c and 26d receive the articulation means of the panels 21-25.
