DISPLAY DEVICE FOR SCREENS:

Application filed July 19, 1927. Serial No. 206,977.

This invention relates to display devices for screens, the primary object being to sup-' display device, and I have desired to cover the display device broadly for any use to which it can be put.

lVith this and other objects in view, the invention consists in certain novel features of construction and combinations and arrangements of parts, which will. be more fully hereinafter described and pointed out in the claim. I

1 represents a base bar andQ are cylindrical posts fixed to the basebar 1 and secured at their upper ends to a. top bar 3. These bars 1 and 3 and theposts 2 constitute a siueportingframe, and the base bar 1 may be secured to the floor and the frame supported in any way desired.

Arms l have openings 5 therein receiving the posts 2, said arms resting on'the base bars 1, but permitted to swing freely on the posts and preferably supported at their outer ends by casters 6 or other analogous devices which will ride easilyover the floor.

On the supporting armsa, spring clamps 7 a are secured and projected upwardly therefrom and are adapted to receive a screen door or other device 8 therebetween. Clamps 9 are pivotally mounted on the posts 2 and these clamps are adapted to engage the screen or other device 8 is positioned on the arm 4 wlththe lower end of the screen in clamp 7,

and the rear edge or bar of the screen positioned in the clamp 9.

. This clamp 9 is capable of vertical adjustment on the post 2 but freely swings or pivots so that in conjunction with the supporting arm i a hinged and swinging mounting is provided for a screen or other article mounted thereon,

It will thusbe noted that a relatively large number of screen doors or other articles can be supported in close relationship, and each 7 screen can be swung or moved very much in the action of a hinged door, so that different types and. sizes of screens can be conveniently displayed. and offered for sale.

By reason of construction of this kind I am not only enabled to carry a sizable stock of screens in a. relatively small space but I can conveniently manipulate these screens so that by the use oi the device a convenience in selling as well as attractiveness in the display is the result.

Various changes and alterations might be made in the general form of the parts described without departing from my invention and hence I do not limit myself to the precise details set forth but consider myself at liberty to make such changes and alterations fairly fall within the spirit and scope of the up pended claim.

I claim:

A. device of the character described, in-

cluding a base bar, a plurality of vertical cylindrical posts on the base bar, a top bar secured by the posts, arms having openings therein receivi the posts and swinging free ly therefrom, supporting devices under the free ends of thearms, means on the arms to receive the lower end of the screen or other device, and a clamp on each post adjustable vertically on the post-and adapted to clamp an article supported by the arm.
