Description

The present invention relates to a chassis for sliding door or window, of which the opening is made by one or more leaves which are likely to be move by sliding laterally in parallel planes on horizontal support rails mounted to the part lower of a fixed frame receiving this opening and that it closes in the closed position of the door or window and releases in open position.

Conventionally, in a door or window of this genre, the opening usually comprises a glazed panel, single or double, generally rectangular, framed by a frame which borders it along its four sides, this chassis being formed by means of rigid profiles, in metal such as aluminum or other, wooden, material plastic, or even by combining such materials.

Each of these sections is cut at the ends of the panel to surround in a straight section, perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the profile, or more generally in a bias cut, called "tab", allowing the elements thus cut, arranged according to the sides of the panel to be joined together by means which vary from one realization to another, presenting for example in the form of squares whose branches penetrate the open ends of profile elements, or by connecting members screw or the like which bring two elements together by blocking them in position around the panel glazed, or by gluing, if necessary by combination of these various solutions.

In its lower part or cross, under the element of profile which constitutes the lower side of the chassis the opening, one or more wheeled carts are fitted or similar rollers, suitable for sliding transverse of this opening relative to the fixed frame.

The frame is itself constituted by a rigid frame, made of metal or other material, joined to the structural work or the frame of the assembly where the door must be arranged or window, this frame being analogously to the opening, formed of profiles extending along its four sides, with a conventional assembly of these profiles.

The lower frame profile, which, barring exceptions, extends horizontally, has at least one rail suitable for cooperate with the carriage (s) mounted under the crossmember opening sash, to allow lateral sliding of it, this opening being guided in its movements by this rail in the lower part of the frame and by other means, also rails or the like, provided in part high of the frame of the frame, the opening being thus kept at its lower and upper ends in a way that does not hinder its movement when opening or closing from the door or window.

The opening can be made up of one or more leaves of the same or variable dimensions, which move respectively on horizontal lower rails at the lower part of the frame, these rails being parallel one to each other and separated by a distance that corresponds substantially the thickness of a leaf, so that, in open position, two consecutive leaves are superimposed against each other, freeing up space correspondent surrounded by the frame, while in position closing, these leaves are arranged in the extension from each other with only a lateral offset corresponding to the spacing of their sliding rails respectively.

In the case where the opening is formed by two leaves, their width dimensions are substantially equal to the half that of the frame surrounding them.

Advantageously, the vertical sides of the chassis which surrounds each leaf, arranged substantially in the middle of the dormant and next to each other in the closed position, have mutual locking means for blocking the door or window in this position, before these means are released, allowing one to slide by compared to each other the two leaves on their rails of guide.

These commonly used solutions, however, include the disadvantage of using a sash whose rigid profiles overlap at least in part with those of the frame of the frame, creating all around the panel glazed a metallic or other mass which is not aesthetic and which especially limits the free surface of this panel through which the light passes, as agreed to call "clear glazing". In addition, these profiles which line the panels cause subjection to reduce, or even eliminate, air and water leaks at the crossing of the opening frame.

Improvements have already been envisaged, consisting in increasing the visible surface of the opening, with the use of glazing beads carried by the frame. However, if the opening is thus partially hidden by the frame without its chassis adding to the limitation of clear glazing, the aforementioned drawbacks are not however entirely discarded.

The subject of the invention is a new door frame. or window which eliminates the disadvantages of the solutions traditional, reducing it completely significant the necessary quantity of profiles framing the frame supporting the glass panels, allowing a significant increase in the glazing clear, easier assembly of the elements which constitute this chassis and a manufacturing and mounting of the latter significantly lower.

To this end, the opening frame considered, formed of retaining profiles on the sides of a central panel, in particular glazed, of generally rectangular shape, suitable for be slidably mounted in a fixed frame made up of a frame surrounding the opening and comprising profiles lower and upper horizontal, the lower profile being provided with at least one rail on which moves at minus a carriage carried by the leaf for opening or closing of it vis-à-vis the frame, is characterized in that it only consists of a cross lower horizontal under which the carriage is mounted and a vertical upright forming with the cross two contiguous sides of this chassis against which apply two corresponding sides of the central panel, both other sides thereof lacking profiles maintenance.

Advantageously, the vertical amount of the chassis includes locking means in the position of door or window closing.

In a particular embodiment of the invention, where the opening comprises two neighboring leaves moving in sliding in parallel planes on two equally parallel rails carried by the frame, each leaf comprises a frame according to the invention, the two vertical uprights of the two leaves being provided to be adjacent to each other in the closed position of the door or window, substantially in the middle of the width of the frame frame.

Preferably and in this same embodiment, each frame profile has a partition vertical delimiting two neighboring but separate zones, respectively reserved for each of the two leaves. according to an advantageous characteristic, this vertical separation consists of a poor conductive material of the heat, achieving a crossing of the profile thermal bridge between the two opposite sides of this profile.

According to a particular characteristic, the two sides of the central panel without retaining profiles, are capped by decorative caps, possibly removable, and independent of the crossbar profiles horizontal and vertical upright.

Advantageously, at least the decorative cap mounted on the horizontal upper side of the central panel, has sufficient height to partially penetrate in the upper profile of the frame.

According to another characteristic, this cap is provided of seals, preferably of the brush seal type, supported on the surface facing the upper profile of the frame of the sleeping.

Other characteristics of a new sliding door or window frame, established in accordance with the invention, will become apparent from the following description of an exemplary embodiment, given by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the accompanying drawings. on which ones :
  • Figure 1 is a diagram illustrating in a synthetic way the structure of a sliding door or window frame, as well known in the prior art.
  • Figure 2 is a diagram similar to that of Figure 1, but illustrating the essential characteristic of the chassis according to the invention.
  • Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view, on a larger scale, of the frame of Figure 2, showing in more detail the practical embodiment of the latter.
  • Figure 4 is a partial perspective view of the chassis of Figure 3.
  • Figure 5 illustrates a complementary detail of the chassis considered.

In Figure 1, reference 1 designates a door or sliding window of a conventional type, comprising mainly a fixed frame or sleeping frame 2, to inside which are likely to move, for lateral sliding, two opening leaves, respectively 3 and 4, of the same dimensions, each surrounding a panel central 5 or 6, preferably glazed and having a profile rectangular whose four sides are surrounded by a chassis 7 formed by four elements of metal profiles such as 8, suitably cut to size corresponding on these sides and joined together by conventional means not shown in the diagram.

The frames 7 of the openings 3 and 4 are preferably identical and have a width dimension substantially equal to half that of frame 2 of dormant so that in the closed position of the window, the two leaves are in the extension one on the other, while in the open position, they overlap each other. For this purpose, the two leaves are likely to move on parallel rails (not shown), mounted in the sleepers, respectively lower 9 and upper 10, of frame 2.

Such an embodiment well known in the art requires both the frame frame and the chassis opening leaves are formed by profiles which overlap, so that a part which is not negligible of the central glass panels 5 and 6, is hidden, limiting the "clear glazing" achieved. This solution further complicates the mounting of the sleeping like openings, whatever the nature of these metal profiles, in particular aluminum, wood or plastic, or even using a combination any of these various materials.

According to the invention, according to the assembly shown schematically in Figure 2, on which we have taken identical reference numbers to designate organs similar to each other, the chassis 7 of the panels central windows 5 and 6 no longer surround the four sides of these panels, but are constituted by profiles 11 and 12 which extend horizontally and vertically together forming an L on two sides of each panel, the other two sides of the latter being devoid of such profiles.

In the diagram in Figure 2, the profile 11 of the chassis 7 of each leaf constitutes a horizontal crosspiece mounted in the equally horizontal lower cross member of the frame of frame 2, while profile 12 forms a vertical upright. Preferably, the vertical uprights of the two leaves are arranged so that they are substantially superimposed on each other in the position of closing the door or window, the other two sides of the panels 5 and 6 being advantageously covered by hoods, preferably removable, for purely effect decorative, respectively 13 and 14, depending on whether they cover the horizontal upper edge of these panels or their side vertical lateral, opposite to that which is held by the amount 12.

Figures 3 and 4 illustrate in more detail the practical realization of a door or window frame two identical leaves 3 and 4, moving in mutual sliding inside a frame 2 fixed.

In these figures, the central panels 5 and 6 represented consist of two parallel panes 15 and 16, separated by an insert 17, these panels being immobilized within appropriate rebates 18 and 19, respectively provided in sections 11 and 12 which constitute the lower horizontal cross member and the vertical lateral upright of each opening 3 and 4 with interposition of a seal 20.

Les capuchons décoratifs dont un seul, correspondant à la référence 14, est représenté sur la Figure 3, sont fixés par simple emboítement et serrage sur les côtés des ouvrants opposés aux profilés 11 et 12.Decorative caps, only one of which corresponds to reference 14, is shown in Figure 3, are fixed by simple fitting and tightening on the sides of opening opposite profiles 11 and 12.

Avantageusement, dans l'exemple considéré où la porte ou fenêtre comporte deux vantaux ouvrants, le cadre 2 du dormant est muni d'une séparation verticale intermédiaire 21, réalisée en un matériau mauvais conducteur de la chaleur, de manière à former une rupture de pont thermique entre les côtés opposés des profilés 9 ou 10 qui constituent les traverses inférieure et supérieure du cadre 2.Advantageously, in the example considered where the door or window has two opening leaves, frame 2 of frame has an intermediate vertical partition 21, made of a material which is a poor conductor of the heat, so as to form a thermal break between the opposite sides of profiles 9 or 10 which constitute the lower and upper crosspieces of the frame 2.

The profile 9 comprises, on either side of the intermediate separation 21, parallel rails 22 and 23, on which the carriage rollers roll respectively 24 or 25 of the openings 3 and 4 (Figure 4), these rails being separated by a distance which corresponds substantially to the thickness of each of the leaves, so that they can slide freely relative to each other in frame 2 and, in position closing the door or window, overlap their vertical uprights 12 in the middle of this frame.

Preferably and as shown in dashed lines on Figure 3, at least one of the profiles forming these amounts includes mutual locking means 26 of these in this position.

Finally, the decorative caps 13 and 14 provided on the sides of the panels 5 and 6 devoid of rigid profiles in each of the chassis 7 of the openings 3 and 4, are provided additional seals such as brush seals 27 (see Figures 3 and 5). Advantageously, the cap 13 provided on the upper edge of each panel enters a hollow 28 formed in the section 10 which constitutes the cross-member upper part of frame 2, the brush seals coming from apply against the walls opposite this profile and the intermediate separation 21 provided in the example shown where the door or window has two leaves parallel.

Of course, it goes without saying that the invention is not not limited to the example of embodiment more specifically described above with reference to the accompanying drawings; she in on the contrary embraces all variants, within the framework of the appended claims.
