Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for wetting a flexible mat-shaped Carrier material containing guide elements designed in this way for transporting and guiding the carrier material that at least one cavity defined by the carrier material is formed, in which a spraying device for wetting the inside of the Cavity facing surface of the carrier material introduced can be.
  • the invention further relates to a method for wetting a flexible mat-shaped carrier material, in which the carrier material is performed with formation of at least one cavity and the surface of the carrier material facing the inside of the cavity is wetted.
  • a device and a method of the type mentioned are under other known from DE 196 33 656 C1.
  • the carrier materials can it be e.g. around nonwovens and fiber mats made of plastics, glass fibers and natural fibers act, the materials mentioned both as a primary raw material as well as recycled goods or as a mixture thereof can be present.
  • Such carrier materials are often through Spray on liquid components with a stiffening To provide matrix material.
  • the liquid components it is usually two-component resins, e.g. Polyurethane resins, epoxy resins and the like. Due to the adhesive effect and the curing process creates intrinsically stable molded parts that e.g. used in the automotive sector, in the furniture industry and in the consumer sector can be.
  • a second pair of tunnel sprockets in the wetting device arranged, with the help of which a second cylindrical (tunnel-shaped) Cavity is formed.
  • the inside of the outer surface of the cavity however, from the other, i.e. the not yet wetted Formed side of the carrier material. Can in this second cavity therefore the second side of the carrier material can also be wetted.
  • wetted applicator rolls carry this Wetting agent on the carrier materials. There is no or hardly any overspray and only a little pollution of the room air. Further these methods achieve a high area coverage, but have significant pollution problems in the system.
  • Linear spray heads in spray tunnels are also known. This require slightly lower investment costs and smaller plant footprints with the same area coverage as the high pressure spray technology. Regarding their daily availability and secondary waste quantities they are also comparable to the latter.
  • the spray systems can with or work without ("airless") air.
  • spray heads are mechanical Forced action mixers have been developed with relatively low media pre-pressures of up to 15 bar and only very small amounts of additional air can be operated (Tartler, Lützelbach, Germany).
  • a centrifugal wheel spray head with a continuous rotatable axis provided, which is preferably snail-shaped for transporting wetting agent to its front end is designed.
  • wetting agent striking the centrifugal disc it is thrown radially outwards due to the centrifugal forces, where it reaches the object to be wetted.
  • the mat can be fixed to the inner wall of a rotating drum become.
  • the surface of the mat facing the inside of the drum can then by the centrifugal wheel spray head described above be wetted.
  • this procedure is only one-sided Wetting of the carrier materials possible because of an upside-down insertion the mat in the drum the inside of the drum from the already wetted surface of the carrier material would be dirty.
  • wetting agents are often resin components and thus are substances that can also be used as adhesives, represents the contamination of wetting systems with the wetting agent is a particular problem.
  • a disadvantage of the "drum wetting processes" described above is, among other things, that when you turn off the device either leave only partially, (i.e. one-sided) wetted raw mats, or else require a relatively high technical effort to avoid this. For example, facilities for "self-threading" the mat ends are provided. If two mat webs at the same time to be processed, this is caused by the double design of machine parts (unwinding, drying, goods storage, extraction unit, Joining device) a relatively high investment, which only if the very high possible output is used is justified.
  • the object of the present invention was to provide a device at the outset mentioned type to improve in such a way that it is structurally easier is and can therefore be produced more cost-effectively that the coating result is homogeneous and that different possible cut sizes can be processed flexibly.
  • a device that is similar to the "Drum wetting process" is a flexible mat-shaped carrier material is shaped over guide elements so that one of the carrier material limited cavity arises in which a spray device for Wetting the inside of the cavity can be introduced.
  • the transport and guiding elements formed a frame with side strips, in which a mat of the carrier material can be clamped, the frame at least has a flexible side bar, which from the straight into a curved (curved, kinked) shape and can be transferred back.
  • the device according to the invention thus realizes the transport and the Formation of a cavity from the mat of the carrier material after a different principle than the state of the art. It won't be one (Endless) web of mats of the carrier material conveyed and through an appropriate web guide for the intermediate training of Cavities, but a single mat of the carrier material is first firmly clamped in a frame.
  • the one from sidebars The frame formed limits an area that is the size of the Size of the mat corresponds or preferably somewhat larger than the mat surface is.
  • Suitable holding means such as Brackets or hooks attached to the side rails of the frame are then a mat to be coated in the frame area be spanned.
  • Such a mat inserted in the frame can be move together with the frame as you like and especially from a mat loading station to and from a coating station a further processing station, for example to a press.
  • the peculiarity of the frame is that at least one Sidebar is flexible. That means that they are straight, straight Shape into a curved or kinked shape and back can be transferred.
  • the sidebar can be both like a metal wire be continuously bendable and consist of rigid segments, which are articulated to each other, so that in the curvature a polygon is created in the sidebar.
  • By bending the flexible sidebar it is possible to use the initially flat frame a flat frame surface in a three-dimensional spatial shape bring which is essentially a curved cylinder wall (with circular or polygonal base area).
  • the sidebar is therefore of the clamped in the frame Mat of the carrier material formed a cavity in which in a known Way a spray device for wetting the inner surface of the cavity can be introduced.
  • the formation of the cavity has the advantage over spraying a flat surface that losses occur as far as possible around the carrier material of coating agents can be minimized.
  • the support frame used according to the invention is structurally significant simpler than the devices known from the prior art.
  • a corresponding coating device can thus be less expensive getting produced.
  • the mat can be cut to a certain extent Limits can be kept variable because of different lengths of fastening clips on the side parts of the frame mats different Size can be kept or by a sliding design of an articulated arm the distance between the brackets on the lateral articulated arms can be changed.
  • the invention Device thus allows variations in mat size without problems of up to 10% in both cutting directions. It can be within this Limits even alternately different cuts are made, for example for the front door and rear door of a vehicle. The machine changes for a change of the blank size can be automated.
  • Another advantage of the invention The device consists in that it is considerably more compact, that means with a smaller space requirement than known devices can be realized.
  • the flexible sidebar on both sides of the frame surface in a curved Be brought into shape in a curved Be brought into shape. That means the flexible sidebar also assume the curvature mirror-inverted to the first curvature can. This ensures that a mat inserted into the frame can form two different cavities, each with a different one Surface of the mat forms the inside. Through a curve the flexible sidebar in the first direction of curvature and then the clamped in the second direction of curvature Mat of the carrier material coated one after the other from both sides become.
  • the mat of the carrier material could be coated on both sides in principle also through two different groups of flexible sidebars can be achieved, the first group forming a cavity guaranteed with a first surface of the mat as the inside and the second group has a curve to form a second Cavity, in which the second surface of the mat of the carrier material forms the inside.
  • first group forming a cavity guaranteed with a first surface of the mat as the inside
  • second group has a curve to form a second Cavity, in which the second surface of the mat of the carrier material forms the inside.
  • Such an arrangement also has the advantage that the coating of both cavities without complex manipulations carried out by the same spraying device can be.
  • the sidebar can, as expressed in claim 3, of several (rigid) segments connected with hinge joints consist.
  • Such a structure can be implemented constructively and guarantees high stability of the frame because of the joints and the hinges can be designed with virtually any stability, without sacrificing easy curvature of the sidebar would.
  • the setting angle of the hinges can be easily checked, so that the movement and shaping of the frame is automated can be.
  • the entire Frame movably arranged preferably between at least a position with a horizontally aligned frame surface and at least a position with a vertically aligned frame surface is. Due to the flexibility of the frame as a whole, the mat can from a recording location to a coating station and from there to a further processing, for example to a pressing station become. Since mats made of the carrier materials to be coated in the Usually delivered horizontally, it is advantageous if the frame is for picking up and clamping a mat in a horizontally aligned one Position.
  • the frame can then be brought into a vertical position, in which by a corresponding curvature of the flexible side bar formed essentially cylindrical cavity with a vertical axis can be.
  • the spray device can namely along the vertical axis into the cavity.
  • the shape of the flexible sidebar is changed accordingly Claim 5 preferably via a drive motor and a corresponding one Transmission. This allows a defined curvature to be created in a simple manner can be set, and the entire coating process can be thus automate.
  • the invention further relates to a method for wetting a flexible mat-shaped carrier material, in which the carrier material forming at least one preferably cylindrical cavity is transported and directed towards the inside of the cavity Surface of the carrier material is wetted.
  • This is the procedure characterized in that a mat of the carrier material on a Carrier frame is stretched and the cavity by curving one flexible side of the support frame is formed.
  • Such a method has the advantage that the mat to be coated can be firmly clamped in a support frame in a simple manner and no expensive means for threading and stable guidance the mat must be provided during transportation. Much more the mat inserted in the carrier frame can be easily together with the entire support frame or over the support frame handle. By curving a flexible side of the support frame the mat to be coated can be shaped so that it preferably forms cylindrical cavity. This cavity can then be used in the known manner, the inside of the To coat the cavity with as little loss as possible with a spray device.
  • the method according to the invention can preferably be carried out with perform a device of the type described above.
  • the method can be developed so that one after the other through two opposite curvatures of the flexible side of the support frame two cavities are formed, the inside each of different surfaces of the mat of the carrier material be formed. In this way, a mat can be coated from both sides without bending the flexible Side of the support frame from a positive to a negative curvature further elaborate steps would be required.
  • the inventive method is preferably so executed that the axis of the cavity formed perpendicular is aligned. This has the advantage that the spray on the Gravity acting spray device does not cause inhomogeneity of the Coating on the mat can result in no area of the mat gravity is preferred.
  • FIG. 2 A U-shaped frame can be seen here, which consists of the side parts 104, 102 and 101 is formed. This frame and the side parts are also used as “drum gripper frames” due to their function explained below or “gripping frame” or referred to as “gripping arms”.
  • the frame is a fiber mat to be coated via clips 105 10 clamped.
  • the mat 10 is preferably clamped when taking over a blank mat from a template table, preferably from a level lifting table.
  • the brackets only appear at the final transfer of the impregnated mat to the next one Press tool released again. That means that the mat is more beneficial Is fixed continuously and no intermediate transfer processes take place, which ensures high process reliability becomes.
  • the gripping frame can also be used as Tenter frames are used to support a wrinkle-free deformation process. A special handover with a stenter function is therefore not necessary.
  • the middle side bar of the U-shaped Frame is formed from four individual segments 102, 101, which are connected to one another via hinge joints 103. hereby it is possible to angle the segments 102, 101 against each other and the corresponding flexible sidebar of the frame to give curved shape. The latter can be seen, for example, from FIG. 3.

  • this change is that the frame area now points vertically downwards away from the carrier 150.
  • the flexible side bar of the frame is also through right-angled buckling on the hinges 103 and 108 from the extended Shape brought into the shape of an (almost) closed square Service.
