Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen beheizten Trockenzylinder (4) zur Trocknung einer ihn teilweise umschlingenden Faserstoffbahn (1), insbesondere einer Papier-, Karton- oder Tissuebahn in Maschinen zu Herstellung und/oder Veredelung derselben, wobei ein endlos umlaufendes Band (2) die Faserstoffbahn (1) gegen den Zylindermantel (3) des Trockenzylinders (4) drückt.
Davon ausgehend soll das Ablösen der Faserstoffbahn (1) bei gleichzeitiger Gewährleistung eines guten Trocknungsergebnisses erleichtert werden.
Erreicht wird dies dadurch, daß der Zylindermantel (3) im Kontaktbereich der Faserstoffbahn (1) luftdurchlässig ist und der Innenraum des Trockenzylinders (4) an eine Druckluftquelle (5) angeschlossen ist.
