Multiple-sheet monitoring device for a sheet-processing machine, the device comprising a pivotable sensing element arranged at a distance above a sheet or stream of sheets and a stationary switching element actuatable in accordance with the pivoting position of the sensing element, with multiple or at least two sensing elements (24) being provided over the format width of the sheets (7) to be conveyed or the stream of sheets to be conveyed,
    characterized in that all sensing elements (24) are arranged together on a cross-member (28) and are adjustable to a sheet thickness to be processed by means of a common adjusting means (46).
  2. Multiple-sheet monitoring device according to claim 1,
    characterized in that an actuating element (37) for the switching element (41) is supported so as to be fixed against rotation with respect to the pivotable cross-member (28).
  3. Multiple-sheet monitoring device according to one of the preceding claims 1 or 2,
    characterized in that all sensing elements (24) cooperate with only one switch (41).
  4. Multiple-sheet monitoring device according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that the multiple-sheet monitoring device (21) is arranged in the region of the beginning of a feed table (9).
  5. Multiple-sheet monitoring device according to claim 1 or 3,
    characterized in that the sensing element (24) is a roller.
  6. Multiple-sheet monitoring device according to claim 1 to 3,
    characterized in that a distance between the sensing roller (24) and the counter-roller (22) is adjustable indirectly via a pivotable support (39) by means of an adjustment screw (46).
  7. Multiple-sheet monitoring device according to claim 6,
    characterized in that the switching element (41) is supported together with the support (37) so as to be adjustable by means of the adjustment screw (46).
  8. Multiple-sheet monitoring device according to claim 6,
    characterized in that the distance between the sensing roller (24) and the counter-roller (22) is slightly larger than the sheet (7) or shingled stream of sheets to be monitored.
  9. Multiple-sheet monitoring device according to one of the preceding claims,
    characterized in that a rotatable roller (22) is arranged below the sheet (7) or stream of sheets to be conveyed.
  10. Multiple-sheet monitoring device according to claim 9,
    characterized in that the roller (22) is arranged opposite the sensing element (24).
