Abstract

außen spannenden Kolbenringen (10,10',10'') in Zylindern.
Mittels eines die Kolben (9) umspannenden Spannkörpers werden die Kolbenringe
(10,10',10'') im Kolben zentrisch gehalten. Der Spannkörper (1) weist Segmente auf, die
unter Federkraft an den Kolbenringen (10,10',10'') anliegen. Die Spannkraft ist so
bemessen, daß die Tangentialkraft der Kolbenringe überschritten wird.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur Montage von Kolben mit radial nach außen spannenden Kolbenringen in Zylindern, insbesondere von Brennkraftmaschinen, mittels eines die Kolbenringe umgreifenden, aus mindestens zwei Segmenten bestehenden Spannkörpers.The invention relates to a device for mounting pistons with radially outward exciting piston rings in cylinders, especially internal combustion engines, by means of one encompassing the piston rings and consisting of at least two segments Clamping body.
Aus dem Stand der Technik sind verschiedene Vorrichtungen zum Einführen von mit
Kolbenringen bestückten Kolben zu entnehmen.
Es sind Montagebuchsen bekannt, die als Rohrkörper ausgebildet sind, wobei die
Innenfläche leicht konisch verläuft.
Aus der DE 21 55 998 ist eine solche Montagebuchse zu entnehmen. Zur Benutzung
wird die Montagebuchse auf den Motorblock aufgesetzt und der Kolben zusammen mit
den Kolbenringen durch die Buchse gedrückt. Auf diese Weise wirken auf die
Kolbenringe sowohl axiale als auch radiale Kräfte. Eine Beschädigung der Kolbenringe
ist dann gegeben, wenn die Ringe exzentrisch in der Kolbenringnut liegen und eine
geringe Wandstärke aufweisen. Bei einer solchen Konstellation werden die Ringe beim
Durchdrücken durch die Montagebuchse verbogen oder können sogar brechen.
Neben den Montagebuchsen sind Vorrichtungen bekannt, die aus miteinander
verbundenen Ringhälften bestehen und als Spannband ausgebildet sind. Derartige
Vorrichtungen werden im Bereich der Kolbenringe um den Kolben gespannt. Die
Kolbenringe werden so in der Nut des Kolbens zentriert gehalten. Das deutsche
Gebrauchsmuster 1728 262 offenbart ein Spannband, das um den Kolben gelegt wird
und mittels einer Verschlußvorrichtung fest am Kolben befestigt wird.
Zum Einbau des Kolbens in die Zylinderbohrung muß der Verschluß erst wieder gelöst
werden, damit der Kolben durch das Spannband gedrückt werden kann. Diese
Konstruktion ist nicht für eine automatisierte Großserienanwendung geeignet. Various devices for introducing pistons fitted with piston rings can be found in the prior art.

Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, Kolbenringe mit großer Ringspreizung und
geringer axialer Höhe sicher in der Ringnut eines Kolbens zu fixieren, so daß der Kolben
zusammen mit den Ringen mittels eines Automaten in die korrespondierende
Zylinderbohrung einsetzbar ist.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß durch die Merkmale des Patentanspruchs 1 gelöst.

Der erfindungsgemäße Spannkörper ist so ausgelegt, daß er lediglich durch radiale
Federkraft die Kolbenringe im Kolben fixiert. Es reicht aus, daß die Federkraft nur
geringfügig größer ist als die Tangentialkraft der Kolbenringe, d.h. die nach außen
spannende Kraft der Kolbenringe.
Auf diese Weise werden die Kolbenringe bis auf Block, d.h. ohne Stoßspiel
zusammengespannt.
Die Vorrichtung dient nicht nur als Montagevorrichtung sondern auch als
Transportvorrichtung des Systems Kolben - Kolbenring. Im Gegensatz zur bisherigen
Verfahrensweise können die mit Kolbenringen bestückten Kolben auf diese Weise mit
gespannten Kolbenringen bis zur Montagestraße des Motorenherstellers transportiert
werden.
Da der Spannkörper lediglich durch Federkraft am Kolben gehalten ist, ist es möglich,
das komplette System Spannkörper, Kolben und Kolbenringe von einem Automaten auf
den Motorblock der Verbrennungskraftmaschine aufzusetzen und durch Druck auf den
Kolben diesen durch die Spannkörper hindurch in die Zylinderbohrung zu pressen, ohne

Der in der Figur 1 dargestellte Spannkörper 1 besteht aus zwei Halbschalen 2, 2'. Die
Halbschalen 2, 2' weisen je einen Flansch 4, 5 auf, in den sich Schrauben 3 erstrecken.
Der Flansch 4 weist ein Gewinde 6 auf und der Flansch 5 eine Bohrung 7 mit einem
Durchmesser, der so gewählt ist, daß sich die Schraube 3 mit Spiel durchführen läßt.
Zwischen Schraube 3 und Flansch 5 ist eine Feder 8 vorgesehen, die beim Anziehen der
Schraube 3 eine Druckkraft auf die Halbschale 2' ausübt, so daß die Halbschalen 2, 2'
unter Federkraft an dem zu montierendem Kolben anliegen.
Die Federkraft wird dabei so eingestellt, das die Tangentialkraft der zu fixierenden
Kolbenringe überschritten wird.The

Die Figur 2 zeigt einen Kolben 9 mit aufgesetztem Spannkörper 1. Der Kolben 9 weist
insgesamt 3 Kolbenringe 10, 10', 10'' auf, die mittels der Halbschalen 2, 2' zentriert in
den Nuten festgelegt sind. Der Kolben wird mit seinem Schaft in die Zylinderbohrung 11
eingesetzt und zwar bis die Unterflanke 12 der Halbschalen auf dem Motorblock 13
aufliegt. Durch Druck auf den Kolbenboden 14 wird der Kolben 9 in die
Zylinderbohrung 11 gepresst, ohne das die Halbschalen 2, 2' gelöst werden müssen.
Der Spannkörper 1 bzw. die Halbschalen 2, 2' können zur Wiederverwertung an den
Lieferanten zurückgeschickt werden, der diese Vorrichtung als Transportvorrichtung
verwenden kann. Die mit Kolbenringen bestückten Kolben können mit dem Spannkörper
zum Motorenhersteller transportiert werden. Diese Baueinheit läßt sich dann mittels
eines Montageautomaten sicher transportieren und montieren.FIG. 2 shows a
