Definitions

  • the invention relates generally to lighting strip systems, and more particularly to an adapter device capable of utilizing lights of a lighting system in a support rail of an otherwise incompatible system.
  • components of the system such as ballasts, sockets or reflectors
  • ballasts, sockets or reflectors age comparatively quickly in the often aggressive environment.
  • the often aggressive dirt in such halls attacks the surface of the reflectors, so that not even the original reflection properties can be achieved by cleaning the reflectors and the illuminance in the room goes back accordingly.
  • this problem can be solved by replacing the corresponding components.
  • the conventional light band systems are therefore usually constructed of a mounting rail and on the support rail, possibly via intermediate elements, releasably mounted lamp elements, so that a simple replacement of individual elements is easily possible.
  • the parts that are compatible with this system are often no longer available as standard and you either have to rely on costly custom-made parts or have to replace the entire lighting system.
  • new attachment points for the suspension of the light band usually have to be set and the electrical connections have to be redefined.
  • Such work may require the temporary cessation of operation in the corresponding industrial hall.
  • the mounting rails used in most lighting systems are usually still functional when other parts of the system are already worn out. It would therefore be desirable to be able to continue to use these mounting rails and the associated electrical supply, in particular from the viewpoint that this extensive conversion work and the associated interruption of operation in the corresponding facility could be avoided.
  • From the DE 43 00 415 A1 is a connecting element for reflectors of continuous strip luminaires known, which overlaps the reflectors from below at the junction between two lamp units.
  • the connecting element described therein essentially serves only the correct orientation of the reflectors and has no supporting function. In particular, it is not able to support the weight of a whole lamp unit.
  • a fastening device for a lamp having the features of the preamble of claim 1 which has a carrier profile with an opening into which a lamp housing is used.
  • the luminaire housing is held by means of a spring element at an edge of the opening of the carrier profile.
  • the spring element has on both sides mutually opposite hooks, which are supported in a groove of the lamp housing and on a projection of the retaining profile.
  • a lighting system is provided with at least one mounting rail, one or more adapters and at least one lamp unit, in particular a light strip luminaire unit, wherein one or more adapters via at least one movable locking element, in particular via a latching connection, are connectable to the mounting rail.
  • a lamp unit provided with one or more adapters can be anchored in a mounting opening of a mounting rail.
  • one or more adapters can be connected to a mounting rail via a latching connection.
  • the adapter compatible with the mounting rail latching device is attached to the lamp unit, so that the lamp unit can be mounted without tools by simply plugging on the mounting rail.
  • this elastically designed pawls which are deflected when pressed and then engage above or below a locking surface.
  • a side wall of the support rail or the lamp body is at least limited elastically deformable to promote the engagement. This is advantageous to compensate for any dimensional tolerances and to ensure a tight fit of the lamp unit.
  • the one or more adapters have one or more pawls and the mounting rail has a mounting opening and one or more facing away from the mounting hole locking surfaces, such that the lamp body are inserted with one or more attached thereto adapters in the mounting hole of the mounting rail and the pawls can engage the locking surfaces.
  • a lamp body of the lamp unit has one or more legs facing away from a light exit opening, which consist essentially of a U-shaped element.
  • the U-shaped elements consists of a correspondingly shaped plate which acts like a spring.
  • the lamp body may in particular be made in one piece from a metal sheet, as for example from the DE 195 31 351 A1 is known.
  • the lamp unit has a lamp body with a pointing away in use of the mounting rail edge, wherein the lamp unit is supported on the said edge on an adapter which is held on the support rail. Legs, as described above, may be provided on the lamp body, pointing away from said edge.
  • the lamp unit (or the lamp units) can be supported on the adapter via an edge of a reflector, which in particular can at the same time completely or partially limit the light exit opening.
  • the adapter element thus acts directly on the edge of the reflector
  • one or more adapters can be connected to a lamp unit via a latching connection.
  • the preceding mentioned leg can be used in an advantageous manner for attaching a fastener to the lamp body.
  • an adapter has a device for connecting to one or more legs of the lamp unit and a further means for connecting to the pioneering in use of the mounting rail edge, in particular the edge of a reflector, so that the adapter between one or several of the legs and the edge can be braced.
  • the or the adapter elements may have a hook or groove-like element for engaging over a leg, which is elastically connected to a further hook or groove-like element for engaging around said edge.
  • the adapter in the mounted state and attack on opposite sides of the lamp body and overlap this completely or partially.
  • the adapter overlaps and supports the lower edge of the lamp body, in particular the lower edge of the reflector, on both sides.
  • the edge cross-over ends can be elastically biased against each other, so that the adapter element acts like a clamp.
  • the adapter element has U-shaped legs, so that it is elastically deformable in this area and thereby favors a snap into the mounting rail.
  • an adapter for mounting on a mounting rail and for supporting a light strip-capable lighting unit, in particular for a lamp unit, which has a lamp body, which has an edge facing away from the mounting rail in use, which by at least one movable locking element is characterized for substantially positive engagement with the support rail, wherein such a locking element may be in particular a latching element for locking on an edge of the support rail, which may lie in particular on the inside or on the outside of the support rail, wherein the locking element on the support rail attack both inside and out.
