Claims (8)

  1. Connecting terminal for an electrical installation device, in particular for a line or fault current circuit breaker or the like, with a cylindrical clamp body (11), which has opposing axial slots on diametrically opposite sleeve surfaces, with a clamping screw and a clamping piece, which can be inserted in the cut-outs so that at least one conductor in each case can be clamped between the clamping screw and the clamping piece and between the clamping piece and the adjacent edge of the slot running at right angles to the centre axis of the clamp body, characterised in that a pressure plate (18), which has projections engaging in the slots for axial guidance, is fixed on the inner end of the clamping screw (15) rotatably with respect to the clamping screw (15).
  2. Connecting terminal according to Claim 1, characterised in that the internally threaded section (13) of the clamp body (11) finishes at a distance (L) from the actuating-side face of the clamp body, which is approximately the same size as the axial threaded region of the clamping screw (15) or else smaller, and that the inside diameter of the thread-free section is slightly greater than the outside diameter of the clamping screw (15) so that after the clamping screw has been unscrewed from the internally threaded section, the thread of the clamping screw is in the thread-free section of the clamp body and this guides the clamping screw (15) outside the internally threaded section.
  3. Connecting terminal according to Claim 2, characterised in that the length of the slots, which accommodate and guide the pressure plate, is sized so that when the clamping screw is in the thread-free section, the pressure plate can come into contact with the slot ends at the actuating end so that the clamping screw with pressure plate is prevented from falling out.
  4. Connecting terminal according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that a tab (22) is formed on an edge of one of the slots opposite the actuating end and is bent into the clamp body so that it runs perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the clamp body (11) and serves as a support for conductors to be clamped.
  5. Connecting terminal according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the screw has an extension with reduced diameter to which is attached a rivet extension with larger diameter and that the pressure plate (18) surrounds the extension with reduced diameter with its internal hole and is riveted therewith.
  6. Connecting terminal according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the internal thread of the clamp body and the external thread of the clamping screw is a sawtooth thread.
  7. Connecting terminal according to Claim 6, characterised in that the flanks, which run approximately radially, face the clamping point or point towards the clamp.
  8. Connecting terminal according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that diametrically opposite ridge-type mouldings, which engage in corresponding recesses in the housing in which the connecting terminal can be fitted and thus guide the clamp body, are attached to the outside of the clamp body.
