Abstract

L'invention concerne la prise en compte d'informations routières supplémentaires pour le fonctionnement d'un dispositif de navigation monté à demeure dans un véhicule, contenant des cartes routières internes numériques. Selon l'invention, le point de départ et le point de destination sont donnés à un calculateur central et un itinéraire établi dans ledit calculateur central est transmis au dispositif de navigation monté à demeure dans le véhicule, avec prise en considération des informations routières supplémentaires. Un tel procédé est mis en oeuvre avec un faible débit de transmission de données et avec des temps de transmission courts par le fait que les cartes routières numériques internes du dispositif de navigation sont pourvues d'indications permettant un codage local, que la transmission de l'itinéraire se fait par indication de sections routières définies par le codage local, qui se trouvent entre le point de départ et le point de destination, et que les sections routières transmises sont, dans les cartes routières internes numériques du dispositif de navigation (1), modifiées de sorte qu'elles sont prises en considération par rapport à d'autres sections routières non transmises lors de la recherche d'itinéraire exécutée ensuite dans le dispositif de navigation monté à demeure dans le véhicule.
