Definitions

  • the invention relates to a valve for dispensing in a Containers of pressurized fluids, especially liquids, Pastes, gels, creams or the like, with an in a container lid attached valve body, via which an in A riser pipe arranged inside the tank with an outside pipe actuatable dispensing tube is fluidly connectable, and with a atomizer cap that can be snapped into place on the peripheral edge of the container lid, the one corresponding to the delivery tube and includes atomizer nozzle directed approximately perpendicular to the container axis.
  • US 2,767,888 and JP 9-120 68 relate to caps for containers which be placed on the valve.
  • the atomizer nozzle which is connected to the valve, thus forms one of the cap independent unit, so that the functions of a cap and an atomizer nozzle by two separate units be taken over.
  • Valves of the type mentioned above or with such valves provided containers are generally known. It is in the Aerosol application very often necessary with the atomizer nozzle align the riser pipe inside the container; i.e. the Spray direction must match the point at which the inside the riser pipe end the medium to be sprayed sucks. This applies in particular to the spraying of Temple thickness, furniture polish or the like, in which the Users tend to tilt the container down a bit. If the inside of the riser pipe is not below the spray nozzle is about half of the medium after spraying the inside of the riser pipe above the level of the spraying medium with the result that through the Riser pipe is essentially only sprayed with propellant. The rest of the blowing agent is then no longer sufficient to completely empty the container.
  • the generic DE 2 417.602 relates to a plate made of light metal for Attaching an allotment valve to a housing body Aerosol container.
  • a cover has at its lower end inwardly projecting projections of the jacket part, which in a engage the ring-shaped joint on the collar of the plate.
  • the collar can also have an outwardly projecting rib have which engages in a groove which in the Inner surface of the jacket part of the cap is cut.
  • both cases are axial, but not non-rotatable fixation of the cover hood to the collar of the plate With respect to the longitudinal axis of the container.
  • the cover can at most by forming several projections different heights can be attached to the plate.
  • the described disadvantage of the existing risk of twisting the atomizer cap is on the peripheral edge of the container lid thus given in the subject of DE 2 417 602.
  • the present invention has for its object a valve to create with an associated atomizer cap, in which the Originally set alignment between atomizer nozzle and the end of the riser pipe inside the container remains in such a way that the inner end of the riser pipe below the Spray nozzle is located, i.e. points in the same direction as the spray nozzle, and which is a simple and inexpensive manufacture such a rotatable fixation allowed.
  • the essence of the present invention is therefore that the Atomizer cap non-positively and positively by forming of sharp-edged projections on the peripheral edge of the container lid is held, in particular is held against rotation.
  • the Atomizer cap finds a "stamping" or “clawing” of the protrusions in the Material of the cap to form a complementary Deepening instead.
  • the production of sharp-edged Projections on the peripheral edge of the container lid required namely a comparatively low production cost in Compared to the training of exactly complementary interlocking projections and depressions on the Peripheral edge or the cap. So is a simple and inexpensive manufacture of a rotatable fixation of the cap ensured.
  • the cross section of the projection can be rectangular or preferably be a pointed roof.
  • the at least one projection on the peripheral edge of the container can advantageously by deforming the peripheral edge to the outside or by punching out a material flag and bending it out the same can be obtained externally.
  • Atomizer cap a radially inwardly extending projection is formed with a complementary recess on the peripheral edge of the container lid corresponds to the purpose a rotationally fixed connection between these two components.
  • a preferred embodiment is characterized in that at least three or more evenly over the circumferential edge of the Container lids distributed projections or depressions are provided.
  • the container lid consists of sheet metal, in particular Tinplate, and the plastic atomizer cap. Between the peripheral edge of the container lid and the associated Opening edge of the container is another in the conventional manner Elastomer seal arranged.
  • the peripheral edge of the container lid which has an approximately C- or U-shaped cross section, is in the assembled state around the opening edge of the container flanged around, with the interposition of the mentioned Elastomeric ring seal.
  • this has an approximately U or C-shaped cross section bent outwards and in the upper area on the outside a surrounding bead, which in the assembled state with a complementary, at least partially over the projection extending the inner periphery of the atomizer cap corresponds, with the lower limit of the atomizer cap the lower limit of the peripheral edge of the container lid engages behind. So that the atomizer cap is firmly between the mentioned bead and the lower boundary of the peripheral edge of the container lid held. This axial stop is superimposed through the rotation lock mentioned above. This is the atomizer cap permanently fixed by the manufacturer under avoidance all of the disadvantages mentioned at the beginning.
  • Fig. 5 shows, like Fig. 6 in longitudinal section, a can-like container 10, on the opening edge 11 with interposition an annular seal 12 a container lid 13 is placed.
  • This container lid 13 comprises a valve 14 for the delivery of fluids under pressure in the container 10, here Liquid 15.
  • the valve 14 has a fluid-tight edge a lid opening formed in the container lid 13 can be fastened Valve body 16, one axially displaceable in the valve body, 5 from a closed position the effect of an elastic element, namely here Helical compression spring 17 movable delivery tube 18, and a between the edge of the lid opening and the valve body 16 that Dispensing tube 18 closely surrounding ring seal 19 made of rubber or the like elastic sealing material.
  • the inside of the valve body 16 is in the inside of the container opening fluid channel 20 connected to the interior of the container, whereby at the fluid channel 20 a down to the bottom of the container 10 extending hose-like riser 21 connected is.
  • An atomizing nozzle 22 is fluidly connected to the dispensing tube 18, namely via an inside an atomizer cap 23 arranged fluid channel 24.
  • the atomizer cap 23 includes a Integrated actuation button 25. Is this in the direction of Arrow 26 pressed towards the container, one takes place Displacement of the delivery tube 18 into the valve body while opening the one formed in the dispensing valve Fluid channel 27 or its connection to the interior of the valve body 16 and thus with the riser pipe 21 and under pressure standing medium 15.
  • the atomizer cap 23 is on the peripheral edge 28 of the container lid 13 locked.
  • the atomizer cap 23 If the atomizer cap 23 is not rotationally fixed on the peripheral edge 28 the container lid 13 is fixed, the atomizer cap 23 twist around the longitudinal axis of the container and valve body, and relative to the riser pipe 21. It is then in the worst case a twisting of the atomizer cap 23 in a Possible position in which the atomizing nozzle 22 relative to the longitudinal axis of the container diametrically to the inside 29 of the container Riser pipe 21 is located, as shown in Fig. 6. Then there is after partial emptying of the container 10 in the Fig. 6 shown inclined position the same risk that the inner end 29 of the riser pipe 21 in one position above the liquid level with the result that then propellant 31 passes through the riser pipe 21 to the outside.
  • the projections 32 by punching out a material flag and bending out the same get outside.
  • the projections are obtained 32 on the peripheral edge 28 of the container lid 13 by deformation of the peripheral edge to the outside.
  • care must be taken that the protrusions are sharp, i.e. in particular sharp ones extending approximately parallel to the longitudinal axis of the container Have boundary edges.
  • a single lead 32 is enough.
  • the inner peripheral edge of the Atomizer cap extends radially inward projections train with complementary depressions on the peripheral edge 28 of the container lid 13 correspond. It is crucial that a positive and non-positive connection between the atomizer cap 23 and the peripheral edge 28 of the container lid 13 is the atomizer cap 23 both axially and holds securely in the circumferential direction.
  • the container lid 13 is usually made of sheet metal, especially tinplate, while - as already mentioned - the Atomizer cap 23 is made of plastic.
  • the peripheral edge has 28 of the container lid 13 is approximately U-shaped or C-shaped cross-section bent outwards and outside in the upper area a surrounding bead 33 on the assembled state the atomizer cap 23 with a complementary, over the projection 34 extending inner periphery of the atomizer cap corresponds, with the lower limit 35 of the atomizer cap 23 the lower boundary 36 of the peripheral edge 28 of the container lid 13 engages behind.
  • the atomizer cap 23 is thus in the axial direction on the peripheral edge 28 of the container lid 13 between the upper circumferential bead 34 and the lower boundary 36 held.
  • This area of the peripheral edge 28 of the Container lid 13 is within a circumferential Well 37 placed, which over the Perimeter extending projection 34 the upper limit of the recess 37 and the circumferential lower limit 35 of the atomizer cap 23 the lower limit of Define recess 37.
  • the described interaction between the outside of the peripheral edge 28 of the container lid 13 and the atomizer cap 23 ensures the aforementioned Locking the atomizer cap 23 on the peripheral edge 28 of the Container lid 13 in the axial direction.
  • Fig. 2 also leaves a lot clearly see how the projections 32 with the atomizer cap 23 interact.
  • the riser pipe 21 long is formed that the container inner end 29 in one Container corner ends, i.e. in a corner between the bottom of the container 38 and the side wall of the container 10.
  • the atomizer cap 23 with atomizer nozzle 22 is then on the peripheral edge 28 of the Container lid 13 placed so that the atomizer nozzle 22 in the same extend through the longitudinal axis of the container Longitudinal plane above the end 29 inside the container of the riser pipe 21, as shown in FIG. 1 is.
  • Fig. 2 also very beautifully leaves the ring seal 12 between the opening edge 11 of the container 10 and the peripheral edge 28 of the Recognize container lid 13.
  • the peripheral edge 28 of the container lid 13 is crimped around the opening edge 11 of the container 10 with the interposition of the rubber ring seal 12 or the like elastic sealing material.
  • the described and claimed anti-rotation lock of the atomizer cap 23 also becomes independent of the arrangement described and positioning the riser pipe 21 as an inventive improvement claimed; because that is decisive for the invention described and claimed interaction between the peripheral edge 28 of the container lid 13 on the one hand and the atomizer cap 23 on the other hand.
