Definitions
- the invention relates to a plastic light well according to the specified in the preamble of claim 1 Genus.
- FIG. 7 A typical plastic light well according to the state of the Technique is shown in Fig. 7 in a side sectional view.
- This light well has a side wall 1, which in its upper area is designed as a bearing section 10.
- On the Bearing section 10 is an outer part 5 of a cover 4th on.
- the cover 4 shown is mostly by a metal grating formed of a cross section at its circumference U-shaped sheet metal strip which has the outer part represents, which rests on the bearing portion 10. Since the the cover usually also prevents slipping must be secured, conventional light wells have one circumferential edge portion 11, which compared to Bearing section 10 protrudes at a right angle and thus a Prevents the cover from slipping.
- the edge section 11 of the conventional plastic light well is - for example, due to impact forces or pedaling forces caused by pedestrians - heavy use exposed.
- the plastic edge portion 11th as is known through a special resistant Insert replaced. More precisely, the plastic light well initially made without an edge section. In In a further step, the insert is then placed on the Bearing section mounted so that it is perpendicular from the bearing section protrudes.
- the object of the present invention is a plastic light well to create the inexpensive and at the same time in can easily be protected against high loads.
- the object of the present invention is achieved by the features of claim 1 solved.
- edge protection is just a web on top of the Edge section is set. Through this bridge the Load taken up over the entire top of the edge section distributed so that on the edge section a relatively small Area load acts.
- edge protection only takes perpendicular to the Edge section acting on impact loads, so that accordingly both structure and attachment of the edge protector simple are executable. So it can be compared Manufacture inexpensive plastic light well that is nevertheless highly resilient.
- the edge protection is preferably made of a metallic Material such as steel.
- a corresponding one Edge protection is easy and inexpensive to manufacture and very tough. To protect the edge protection against rust, it can be galvanized or made of stainless steel getting produced.
- An L-shaped profile has been found to be advantageous edge protection. Accordingly, the above is Web an additional leg formed on the Inner wall or the outer wall of the edge section can be created can. Such a leg can be provided with a holding element with the help of the edge protection on the edge section is attachable.
- the Edge protection a U-shaped profile, with the inner leg and the outer legs are connected via the web, so that the Edge section is bracketed by the inner and outer legs.
- the inner leg with the inner wall of the Edge section in surface contact while the edge protection be attached to the edge portion via the outer leg can.
- Edge protection proved to be particularly advantageous Support the end of a leg on a support surface.
- a external loading force for example a pedaling force a pedestrian, is therefore over the web of edge protection not transferred to the top of the edge section, but over the web and the supported leg of the edge protection bridged to the supporting surface.
- the above support surface can expediently the bearing surface of the bearing section correspond.
- an inner leg of a U-shaped edge protector is on the bearing surface is supported, one against the Mounting direction of the edge protection directed support force on Attack the inner leg of the edge protector.
- Such Supportive force can be found on the outer leg Latching projection against the installation direction of the edge protector press against the recess, causing the U-shaped Edge protection firmly between the support surface and the Locking recess can be pinched.
- the locking projections are usually in one piece on the The outer leg of the edge protector is formed. Preferentially the locking projections in the outer leg of the Edge protection punched. It is particularly convenient here Latching projections to give the shape of a claw that leads to Avoiding a longitudinal displacement of the on the edge section mounted edge protector with the outer wall of the edge section can engage in punctiform engagement or in the Can cling to the outer wall. Such a claw-like shape can for example by a tetrahedral shape in the outer leg punched locking projection can be achieved.
- the latching projection can also be used as an in Longitudinal direction of the edge protector Detent be formed with the on the edge portion provided recess in a linear Locking engagement can be brought.
- the locking recess has the shape of a in the longitudinal direction of the Have a continuous undercut.
- a locking recess can also be provided from a plurality of in the longitudinal direction of the edge portion extending latching windows is formed.
- each locking window locking projections protrude so that any longitudinal displacement of the on the Edge section of mounted edge protector is stopped as soon as a locking projection with a locking window comes into contact.
- Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment of the invention in Spatial sectional view. Accordingly, part of a revolving Bearing section 10 of a plastic light well shown. On the bearing section 10 can be an outer part, not shown a cover, for example a grating, placed become. In order for this cover to slide sideways relatively to prevent the bearing section 10 is on the bearing section 10 an edge section 11 is provided. The edge section 11 is in right angle integrally formed on the bearing portion 10, so that a displacement of those stored on the bearing section 10 Covering from an inner side 12 of the edge section 11 is stopped. On the inside 12 opposite Outside 13 of the edge portion 11 is a locking recess intended. In Fig. 1 this recess is in the middle of Outside 13 formed as an undercut 14, the continuously in the longitudinal direction of the edge section 11 extends. As described below, this does the trick Undercut 14 engages with an edge protector 20.
- a cover for example a grating
- Such an edge protector 20 is made as a pressed part from one Metal sheet strips trained and serves to protect the Edge section 11.
- the edge protection 20 in a mounting direction A placed on the edge portion 11. in the This edge protector 20 is individual as one with a U-profile provided sheet metal strip formed of an inner leg 22 and an outer leg 21, which has a web 27th are connected.
- In the middle region of the outer leg 21 are in Edge protection longitudinal direction B spaced apart Locking projections 23 are provided, one of which is shown in FIG. 1 is.
- the locking projection 23 shown in Fig. 1 is a in the Outer leg 21 stamped locking teeth, which has the shape of a Tetrahedra with the sides 23a, 23b and 23c.
- upper horizontal side 23b of the tetrahedron is for Assembly direction A of the edge protector 20 vertically, while the Page 23a of the tetrahedron against the mounting direction A to opposite inner leg 22 is inclined and the Page 23c of the tetrahedron to the outer wall of the edge section 11 and is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction B of the edge protector.
- the edge protector 20 is shown in the assembled state, i.e. the edge protector 20 is with the edge section 11 locked.
- the locking connection is in detail thereby causes the side 23b of the tetrahedral Latching teeth 23 in surface contact with the undercut 14 brought.
- the edge section is 11 to reinforce the latching connection clamped between the inner and outer legs 21, 22.
- the tip of the tetrahedral locking prong 23 is so trained that it claws into the outer wall 13. This Engagement of the tip of the locking prong 23 in the outer wall 13 of the Edge section also causes the edge protection along the Edge section 11 is fixed and thus not relative moves to the edge portion 11 in a longitudinal direction.
- the side 23c of the tetrahedral is Latching teeth 23 perpendicular to the outer leg 21 of the Edge protection, so that the locking teeth 23 approximately the shape has a claw.
- Such a claw shape is particularly good capable of responding to a shift in the Edge protection in the direction B indicated in FIG. 1 in to claw the outer wall 13.
- This claw effect mentioned above takes place in that in FIG Top view shown assembly application. More specifically is it has been taken into account that the sides 23c are adjacent Locking teeth 23 in the circumferential direction of the circumferential Edge section 11 are facing each other. This will create a Longitudinal displacement of the mounted on the edge section Edge protection 20 both in the direction of arrow B and in Effectively prevented the opposite direction. According to this illustration is also in the pages 23b and 23c of the locking teeth 23 shown a breakthrough through the punching Outer leg 21 is present, which creates the claw effect set out above is reinforced.
- Such as. 2 shows the edge protection 20 on the one hand via its inner leg 22 on the support surface 10a supported and on the other hand via its locking projection 23c the undercut 14 is supported.
- One from the support surface 10a on the inner leg against the mounting direction A des Edge protection transmitted support force consequently causes the on the outer leg 21 located locking teeth 23 against the Installation direction A of the edge protector to the undercut 14 is pressed.
- the edge protection brought into this way pre-tensioned 20 is thus safely between the support surface 10a and Undercut 14 pinched.
- FIG. 5a shows an alternative embodiment of the above edge protection 20 outlined accordingly not in the form of individual locking teeth 23, but as one along the longitudinal direction of the outer leg 21 extending continuously Detent 33 formed to the opposite Inner leg 22 bulges out.
- the locking lug 33 but not with the outside 13 of the edge section 11 claws so that a relative displacement of the edge protector 20 in the longitudinal direction B of the edge section 11 only by the between the catch and the edge of the undercut 14 occurring linear friction contact is prevented.
- this is the same Embodiment that shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 Embodiment.
- the edge protector 20 is in its longitudinal direction, pocket-like in the Outer wall 21 stamped locking projections 43, one of which in 6a is shown.
- the associated with the locking projections 43 Locking recess is not, as in e.g. Fig. 1 shown as continuous undercut 14, rather than a plurality of in the longitudinal direction of the edge section 11 from each other spaced latching windows 15, one of which is formed in 5a is shown.
- the distance between the snap-in windows is correct 15 with the distance provided on the outer leg 21 Locking projections 43 match.
- Fig. 1 shown as continuous undercut 14
- the distance between the snap-in windows is correct 15 with the distance provided on the outer leg 21 Locking projections 43 match.
- a plastic light shaft which means a cover can be covered, the plastic light well a bearing section (10) on which the cover can be placed, and has an edge section (11) which a lateral sliding of the on the bearing section (10) stored cover prevented.
- an edge protector (20) made of a resistant material set.
