    1.       a) a maintenance subassembly (21, 47) for the glue subassembly (16, 39) is positioned in the region of the maintenance or cleaning position,
      b) the maintenance subassembly (21, 47) comprises a water container (25) or a water basin (49), a roller (22, 50) made of elastic material, and a collecting container (24) or a collecting basin (48) for receiving glue portions,
      c) the glue subassembly (16, 39), in the maintenance or cleaning position, is positioned above the maintenance subassembly (21, 47),
      d) in a first position of the glue subassembly (16, 39), the glue subassembly (16, 39) is located above the water container (25) or above the water basin (49), the nozzle (14, 15) of the glue subassembly (16, 39) butting against the roller (22, 50), which is driven temporarily in rotation, as closure and cleaning element,
      e) the roller (22, 50) is mounted above the water container (25) or the water basin (49) and has a sub-region dipping into a bath with a solvent for glue within the water container (25) or the water basin (49),
      f) in a second position in the region of the maintenance subassembly (21, 47), the glue subassembly (16, 39) is located above the collecting container (24) or the collecting basin (48) for receiving glue portions, which are discharged on a trial basis by the glue subassembly (16, 39) before the latter moves back into the operating position.
    2. Packaging machine according to Claim 1, characterized in that the glue subassembly (16, 39) with the glue nozzles (14, 15) can be moved, by a pivot arm (18), from the operating position into the region of the water container (25) or of the water basin (49) and, thereafter, into the region of the collecting container (24) or of the collecting basin (48) and back into the operating position.
    3. Packaging machine according to Claim 1, characterized in that the maintenance subassembly (21) can be displaced transversely relative to the glue subassembly (16) in the maintenance position such that alternatively the water container (25) with roller (22) or the collecting container (24) is positioned beneath the glue nozzle (14) of the glue subassembly (16).
    4. Packaging machine according to Claim 1, characterized by the following features:
      a) the glue subassembly (16) is fitted on a pivot arm (18),
      b) the glue subassembly (16), in the operating position, is positioned with glue nozzles (14) directed radially in relation to a folding turret (11),
      c) by virtue of the pivot arm (18) being actuated, the glue subassembly (16) can be advanced towards the maintenance subassembly (21), which is positioned in a stationary manner alongside the folding turret (11), such that the glue subassembly (16) is positioned above the roller (22), or above the collecting container (24), with the glue nozzles (14) directed essentially downwards.
    5. Packaging machine according to Claim 1 or one of the further claims, for producing packs (10) with a band (36) fastened on the pack (10) by glue, characterized by the following features:
      a) the bands (36) can be transported in a vertical plane by a band conveyor (37),
      b) the glue subassembly (39) is mounted in a stationary manner adjacent to the band conveyor (37) and can be pivoted by an arm (45),
      c) in the operating position, the glue nozzles (15) are positioned obliquely downwards at an angle, adjacent to the band conveyor (37),
      d) in the maintenance or cleaning position, the glue nozzles (15) are positioned, by way of a pivoting movement, above the maintenance subassembly (21, 47).
