Abstract

The baking oven has a muffle and muffle flange (3) around the front opening. The flange has a seal against which a curved inner pane (13) rests belonging to the vertical oven door (7) to close the baking oven muffle. The inner pane covers the whole muffle opening including the flange seal. The distance between the inner pane and the plane tensioned by the muffle flange is greater in the central part of the inner pane than in the peripheral part. The inner pane is clamped onto a support element (9) of the oven door.
