Definitions
- the invention relates to a method and a device for presenting instructions for operating a machine, in particular (cigarette) packaging and / or manufacturing machine.
- Packaging and manufacturing machines for cigarettes have a very complex structure. A plurality of units cooperate to produce cigarettes and / or finished packages. Every single unit can be disturbed. This is especially due to the high production speed of such machines. As an example may be mentioned that a cigarette in the machine during the current packaging process is transverse and thus hinders subsequent cigarettes.
- the invention is based on the problem to improve the machines mentioned in such a way that the operator the handling of the machine is facilitated.
- a method for representing instructions of operation of a cigarette packaging and / or manufacturing machine wherein in the presentation of the instructions video sequences are played on a screen connected to a machine control and wherein wireless transmission of the audio and / or video sequence on a headphone or a head-up display one of a plurality of channels, in particular one of a plurality of frequencies, one of a plurality of time slots and / or one of a plurality of codes is selected, which is not used by other locally accommodated machines.
- An inventive device for presenting instructions for operating a machine, in particular (cigarette) packaging and / or manufacturing machine is provided with a controller, a visualization module, a database and a screen, wherein in the database video sequences are stored, depending on a selection device and / or recognized by means of the control machine states are displayed and displayed on the screen via the visualization module, wherein means for selecting one of a plurality of channels, time slots and / or one of a plurality of codes are provided such that one of others accommodated close to the place Machine used channel is not used.
- the screen page can be divided so that the video sequence is played in one part and the textual playback in another part of the screen page.
- the reproduction of such a video sequence with sound is particularly preferred.
- the sound can be transmitted to a worn by the operator headphones or played by a speaker.
- the transmission of the sound to the headphones can in particular be wireless.
- Fig. 1 shows a screen 10 after the occurrence of an error.
- the root cause error is referred to.
- Such a first error can lead to a series of consequential errors result.
- the following errors are listed in the list below, namely Table 12.
- the table 12 consists of a header 13, which consists of five fields 14, 15, 16, 17, 18.
- field 14 is the machine type
- field 15 is a continuous error numbering
- in field 16 is a brief description of the following error
- in field 17 the associated time and in field 18 a short name of the machine component concerned.
- This list may be relatively long, so that the height of a screen 10 is not sufficient.
- function keys F1, F2, F3, ..., F11 are shown in a lower part of the screen.
- the function key F5 is used to scroll up the list and the function key F6 to scroll down the list. In this way, it is very easy to display all errors or follow-up error messages on one screen.
- the other function keys are assigned with other useful functions. For example, you can get help or explanations via these function keys or leave the relevant page or program.
- a suitable pointing device such as a mouse, not shown, or by the use of so-called touch-screen monitors you can select a particular line of the list, for example, the line 19 and gets another screen page with more detailed information about this error.
- FIG. 2 shows the screen page 20 obtained after selection of the line 19 (according to FIG. 1). Again, a field 21 with a brief description of the error is also present on this screen page 20. This field 21 corresponds to the field 11 of the screen 10 of FIG. 1 and contains the same information. In the underlying line 22 is the brief description of the event according to field 16 of the screen 10.
- This video player 23 includes an area 24 for displaying the video sequence being played.
- the video player 23 contains buttons 25, 26, 27, 28. These buttons serve, among other things, to enlarge or reduce the area 24. In this way, the area 24 reproducing the video can be enlarged or reduced.
- the full-screen display is particularly advantageous for being able to better represent details. This is particularly advantageous if the fault location of the machine to be treated is at some distance from the screen. The larger the image, the better the operator can see the instructions even if he is not standing in front of the screen but in front of the machine's fault location.
- buttons 25 to 28 are also used to control the video player.
- buttons are provided to start, stop, pause, fast forward or rewind a video sequence, as well as jump to the beginning or end of the video sequence.
- FIG. 3 shows a schematic representation of the functional blocks of a device according to the invention.
- a controller 29 detects a possible error and forwards a corresponding message via a connection 30 to the visualization module 31 on.
- the visualization module 31 accesses a database 32.
- the database 32 contains a plurality of video files 33, 34, 35, 36 and a plurality of audio files 37 to 48 for each of these individual video files.
- the audio files 37, 41, 45 are assigned to the video file 33.
- These audio files 37, 41, 45 contain the sound associated with the video file 33 in various languages.
- Each audio file 37, 41, 45 represents a language.
- the video to the video file 33 can be played either in German, English or Japanese.
- the video file selected by the visualization module 31 passes via a connection 49 to the screen 50 and is displayed there as a field or frame, as explained above with reference to FIG. 2.
- the audio signals of the audio files 37 to 48 arrive via an additional connection 51 to an audio unit 52.
- This audio unit 52 can be for example a so-called sound card.
- the audio unit 52 is connected via a connection 53 with a transmitting device 54 in connection.
- This transmitting device 54 has an antenna 55.
- This transmitting device together with the antenna 55 serves to wirelessly transmit the audio signals or the spoken instructions to a headphone 57 provided with a receiving part, in particular an antenna 56.
- This headphone 57 is worn by the operator.
- the system described in the figures illustrates a system for reproducing operating instructions in the event of machine malfunction.
- the system (device and method) according to the invention is not limited to troubleshooting, but can also issue such operating instructions at the request of the operator, for example in the case of maintenance measures.
- Fig. 4 shows such a system which also outputs operating instructions at the request of the operators.
- This system is controlled by voice input.
- the headset 57 which is operated wirelessly via an antenna 56, additionally has a microphone 58.
- an operator can speak instructions that are transmitted by means of the antenna 56 to a receiving unit 59.
- the receiving unit 59 is connected to a speech evaluation unit 60 which evaluates the spoken command.
- This spoken command may have already been preprocessed in the headphone microphone unit 57, 58. In particular, it has been converted into electromagnetic waves for wireless transmission between the headphone microphone unit and the receiving unit 59.
- the system is convertible from a wait state to a receive ready state.
- the wait state is usually present when no communication between the operator and the machine is performed.
- This Waiting state can be transferred by speaking a machine-individual identifier in the receive ready state in which the machine is ready for further voice input.
- the headphone microphone unit 57, 58 may additionally have a head-up display (not shown).
- This is a mobile screen arranged on the headphone microphone unit 57, 58, which is pivotable, in particular in the manner of a visor, in front of the field of view of the operator.
- this screen is also translucent, so that both the video sequence and the actual environment can be seen.
- the term screen is to be understood in the context of the invention therefore not only a monitor, but also such a head-up display.
- the video and audio files can be stored on mass storage devices used in such PCs, such as hard disks or CD-ROMs. They allow very fast access to these files. Compared to conventional video cassettes access is much faster, since not only to the corresponding sequence to an error must be spooled, but can be accessed directly to the respective file in such modern mass storage.
- the video files are preferably stored in MPEG or AVI format.
- the video support of the machine operation in particular the operation of complex packaging and manufacturing machines in the cigarette industry, makes it much easier for the operator to troubleshoot or handle the machine during maintenance.
- the easier handling leads to a shortening of possible machine downtime and thus also increases machine efficiency.
- one achieves this easier handling by the described bidirectional communication device between operator and machine, a head-up display with microphone for audiovisual communication with the machine, the wireless transmission between the operator and machine with selection of one of other locally accommodated machines unused channel and the voice-controlled retrieval of sound and / or video sequences by the operator.
